Christian religions teach about the resurrection, but when will the resurrection happen? How many different resurrection periods will there be? Who will be resurrected in which group and in what order? This is what we will discuss in this video. The qualifications for each of the 4 resurrections is discussed as well as the rewards. The 4 different resurrections are plotted on a timeline.

I find that your videos always send me on extreme scripture searches/studies. It's awesome. I've learned about this my whole life, but there is always more to learn. The thing that stood out to me in this one is the final time when Satan is loosed for a time. I've always been unsure about all the details concerning that moment. I'm not sure how deep that topic gets in scriptures, but I'm going to find out. Thanks for all your videos. They always spark my interest on different elements of the gospel.

Great presentation. I have been puzzled though about a scripture in D&C 45:45-48. 45: But before the arm of the Lord shall fall, an angel shall sound his trump, and the saints that have slept shall come forth to meet me in the cloud. 46: Wherefore, if ye have slept in peace blessed are you; for as you now behold me and know that I am, even so shall ye come unto me and your souls shall live, and your redemption shall be perfected; and the saints shall come forth from the four quarters of the earth. 47: Then shall the arm of the Lord fall upon the nations. 48: And then shall the Lord set his foot upon this amount, and it shall cleave in twain, and the earth shall tremble, and reel to and fro, and the heavens also shall shake. I am wondering where this event falls into the timeline. Verse 48 indicates this resurrection happens before Christ sets his foot on the Mount of Olives when it splits in two.

15:50 the Gospel Principles book page 263 when speaking of the millennium says this: “Because of the destruction of the wicked at the Saviour’s Second Coming, only the righteous people will live on the earth at the beginning of the Millennium. They will be those who have lived virtuous and honest lives. These people will inherit either the terrestrial or celestial kingdom” Thanks for your videos. Regarding your statement about there being "no" scriptural reference to the "morning" of the First Resurrection: it is accurate to say that statements made by General Authorities is "scripture", and with that approach, there are MANY instances of "Morning of the First Resurrection" being used in many places by General Authorities, for many decades! So, there IS scriptural reference to the "morning" type and it would be useful to include that distinction in your fine presentations!! Thank You for your efforts!!

Let me tell you about a vision I had. In the vision I saw Jesus standing in space and I could see the light of his presence extending into space and into the darkness. Then I saw all the people in the world, both living and dead revolving around the Lord like planets around the sun. I saw that the people were separated into rings, like the rings around Saturn. I saw that there was a ring of people that started next to Jesus and extended out a ways and then there was a space. Then there was another broad ring then a space and another ring that feathered out into the darkness. I saw that the people were moving with each revolution, either closer to the center or further away. I looked on the faces of the people to see that those who were moving closer to Jesus with each revolution, had their eye focused on Jesus. There were those eye was focused on the darkness and they were moving away into the darkness. I saw that there were many who vacillated, sometimes moving closer and sometime moving further away depending on different factors, if they might be distracted by other people or by material things. I saw a lot of people who were focusing on other people that seemed to be of some importance rather than Jesus. I asked the Lord what the rings represented. He told me that the inner ring were the sanctified. The middle ring were the justified, those who had repented and been born again. The outer ring were the unjustified. I saw that when people died, they stayed in the same place spiritually they were in when they were living. I saw the angels preaching to the dead and that as many as repented crossed the space to be on the side of the just. I also saw how most people were revolving in groups and I was given to understand that the groups were churches and religions. I saw that the space between the just and the unjust went through all the churches and religions and I saw that there was no church where all it's members were on the side of the just, and all the churches has members that were among the unjust. The most disturbing thing about this vision was to see the many leaders of the churches, including the LDS that were on the side of the unjust, and many have pacts with the devil. It was truly sad to see many of the leaders of the church that I love sitting in the darkness, weeping and wailing for having deceived the people to think they were true prophets of God when their hearts were set on money and power and the praises of the world. Now speaking of the resurrection of the just, it started with Jesus resurrection and is continuing to this day and will continue until the end of the Millennium. I saw in the vision that as soon as one is sanctified, he has a choice to be translated into heaven or to remain until Jesus comes again. For the just who died, but are not sanctified they can still be sanctified in the spirit world and as soon as they are sanctified they are resurrected in Heaven. They do not return to the earth to reclaim their bodies. I saw that at the end of Millennium that all those who repented would be resurrected, and the only ones not resurrected at that time were those who refused to repent. Then I saw they were all resurrected all at once and being resurrected they immediately continued their war against the righteous and they were killed again only this time, there was not more resurrection or salvation for them and their spirits were cast into outer darkness.

Thanks for producing so many wonderful presentations which I have enjoyed watching and have learned much. Please keep up the good work. In your video, “The 4 Tiers & Times of the Resurrection - LDS Last Days,” you said (at about 16:00) that you “suspect” the afternoon of the 1st resurrection does not start until “very near the end of the Millennium,” which would allow “all those of a celestial resurrection to be resurrected in order first.” While it is true that our scriptures are not explicit on exactly when the afternoon of the 1st resurrection will begin, the strong implication is that it will be shortly after the Second Coming. Those then resurrected are referred to as “those who are Christ’s at his coming” (D&C 88:99). In addition, your reasoning for why their resurrection probably must wait until “very near the end of the Millennium” does not make sense. Celestial resurrections will continue at least until the very end of the “little season” following the Millennium: “For the great Millennium, of which I have spoken by the mouth of my servants, shall come. “For Satan shall be bound, and when he is loosed again he shall only reign for a little season, and then cometh the end of the earth. “And he that liveth in righteousness shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye, and the earth shall pass away so as by fire.” (D&C 43: 30 - 32) This fact leaves almost no possibility that the morning and afternoon of the 1st resurrection do not overlap (i.e., the reality is that at least some terrestrial people will be resurrected before some celestial people). While discussing the 2nd resurrection (at about 17:00) you quoted Alma 11:41 in relation to the "telestial" dead. Here is the verse: “Therefore the wicked remain as though there had been no redemption made, except it be the loosing of the bands of death; for behold, the day cometh that all shall rise from the dead and stand before God, and be judged according to their works.” I believe that this verse refers only to the sons of perdition, as the telestial dead partake of many wonderful blessings from the atonement in addition to the “loosing of the bands of death,” including having their criminal records sealed or expunged, redeemed from the power of Satan (together with the pains of hell, where they will spend a season before their resurrections), sanctification (no longer having any desire for sin; D&C 88:35) and inheritance of a beautiful and glorious land (D&C 76: 89 - 90). Another reason for my belief that Alma 11:41 refers only to the sons of perdition is that in the Book of Mormon as a whole, concerning post-mortal states, it appears to only talk about eternal life and perdition, with nothing in-between. (I struggled over this apparent reality for a number of years, highlighting and studying every applicable verse. After reading “The Concept of Hell,” an essay by Larry E. Dahl in A Book of Mormon Treasury: Gospel Insights from General Authorities and Religious Educators, I became settled that such is the case.) Therefore, the Book of Mormon does not discuss the post-mortal states, opportunities and related matters, including the resurrection, for telestial (or terrestrial) people, except to say that everyone will be resurrected.

No evidence of resurrection taking place since the first resurrection after Christ’s? The evidence is within and all around us. We must come to know the true meaning of resurrection, along with transfigured and Translated. We even misuse the term ‘twinkling’. When the tokens of the lords house is made known and utilized, these terms will take on new meaning. As we entered this world individually at different times with different missions to fulfill, so the resurrection will be. The Lord would reveal so much more if we were only willing to receive. Sadly, most are not willing. Being willing means we accept that which we do not understand and build upon that. Where most will deny and remain lost, all learning has ceased for that individual.

So, when the resurrection of the terrestrial bodies won't have the chance to repent and become celestial? I say no, but I kinda wonder what's the point of them being resurrected for the millennium - know well they won't ever inherit the Celestial Kingdom. I guess the only other option is to keep suffering in hell, so this just goes to show how merciful God is. Still a bit awkward to be hanging out with Terrestrial folk if you are Celestial. I mean, we would know 100% where we're going to end up anyway.

As usual Gospel Lessions are great! But I have a question that I find hard and it is personal. I joined the church for over 40 years ago and love the gospel. My parents and siblings (of which some of them took the lessions) never joined the church even though they are good people. As all the scriptures and particularly JFS:s Doctrine of Salvation ecxplain it - it looks to me that they have had their chance to come to the celestial kingdom and are destined to the terrestrial one. Even though that is a very good place they might not have a glorious resurrection and can not come to the celestial kingdom. And if they die without a law the same thing happens - they cannot achieve the celestial glory. And all this because there is not "another chance"? But there has to be a real chans or? Boyd K Packer has taught that the state of probation is earthlife plus the spirit world up to the resurrection so even though we might have lived at a telestial level, which most people do, we should have a posibility to repent... Do you have anything more that gives more hope?
@truth4190
@truth4190 2 года назад
I think we should not judge anyone if they will go to Celestial, Terrestial, Telesial etc. Only Jesus can say where we are going to after this life. In addition, I want to say to you that you should not lose hope. Because if they will die, they will go to the spirit world and has a CHANCE to accept the gospel (well that's their agency to choose) That is why we have temple and perform all necessary ordinaces for them like baptism, endownment, sealing etc. In short, THEY STILL HAVE A CHANCE. All we need to do is to pray for them, be a good example. And if they die- go to the temple and do our part as living

There isn’t scriptural references to the morning and afternoon of the first resurrection for a very practical reason. Please bare with me as I explain. The morning and afternoon aren’t good depictions of the event. There is more to the resurrection, like my dear friend likes to say, “there’s more to the story”. Jacobs dream is mentioned 3 different places, I wont deprive you of the hunt, so no scriptural references will be provided. Jacob saw in his dream (vision) a ladder extending to heaven in which the angels Ascended and Descended (yes, in that order). Ladders have steps. Not one giant leap. Our temples usually have aspects of Jacobs ladder somewhere in the design, notably the windows and other elements. Why is it emphasized so? What does it have to do with the ‘Law of Eternal Progression’? How does this correlate with the resurrection and timing? This isn’t easily answered all at once, but line upon line, and without a doubt, precept upon precept. Once we have a clearer understanding of what the resurrection is, we can approach the when. It will be individual, this is an eternal principle of the law. We aren’t resurrected all at once. Just as we didn’t enter this mortal probation all at once. But just as we entered this probation at different times tailored to the individual, so we will receive the resurrection into the next life. Pay attention to the words and terms we frequently use, they are very telling. President Nelson and Uchtdorf exhorted us to Ask, Seek, Knock, and Receive. This wasn’t a nice sentiment (and was mentioned quite a few times), but an invitation to perform a Sacred Ordinance to open the windows of heaven and learn ‘More’. To learn what Joseph did at the young age of 14. It wasn’t just a scripture, it was a culmination of scriptures that led him to the knowledge of how to open heaven. He recognized a pattern, where prophets who required great knowledge used this ordinance to petition the lord on matters of importance. However I can’t share the answers nor ordinance. I hope this will provide a little direction. There is more to know, but you must unlock the door and open the windows. Then Nicodemus will be known to you as a scholar, and not a dummy who knew nothing of baptism, but a man receiving further light and knowledge. The lord trusted him enough to share great and wonderous truths. So we should look upon him more favorably, specially when we come to an understanding. He must have been a great great man for the lord to pull away and meet with him personally. And I’m sure this is the first you have heard him referred to in this way. At the time he met the savior, he may have known a great deal more then many members. He will be known to us, and we will see him in a different light.

So those that come to earth with Christ in the last portion of the second coming are from the morning of the first resurrection. Is it correct then that those that are to be "taken up" during the last period of tribulation and saved from the wrath and destruction are to be transfigured and will experience resurrection prior to that event?
@johnvillaflor2723
@johnvillaflor2723 Год назад
They will be transfigured, but will not be resurrected. They will live on earth during Millenium until they reach the age of 100. A change, nevertheless, will come over all who remain on the earth; they will be quickened so that they will not be subject unto death until they are old. Men shall die when they are one hundred years of age, and the change shall be made suddenly to the immortal state.

The resurrection was in AD70 at the end of the millennium which was actually only a 40 man year period aka the 2nd exodus between Christ's ascension and the fall of Jerusalem in AD70. The resurrection promises were only for old covenant Israel and not mankind in general. Was was lds for 45 yrs before I was able to realize they had it all wrong...as well as the rest of modern day Christianity.

The thumbnail is an historic style of picture of a resurrected Christ, not a "mostly naked picture". It does not depict women in any way so I am not sure how you can think that it is depicting women in an unpure way. Historical depictions like this often symbolised purity, and were not considered lewd. Adam and Eve were both naked initially too
@ddhvn28
@ddhvn28 3 года назад
@@paulav7961 The great thing about the United States is religious freedom. I have the right to believe as I choose. It was not wrong of me to ask nicely, if in the future, pictures such as those not be used? I did not disrespect him in anyway. Everyone is at different levels of spirituality and of learning. Everyone also has different levels of understanding. Those at different levels should still be respected for what they believe even if it is different than what we believe. Anything other than this is pride, which also defiles us. With that said, I have been taught by the leaders of my church that nude or mostly nude pictures are a precursor to Pornography addiction. They defile us. So I have chosen not to look at such pictures. I am not ok with European art of nude people. I feel that the body is sacred and should be saved and shown only to our spouses. I am also opposed to immodesty. I look away from those who chose to reveal more of their bodies than necessary. I was taught that Immodesty is a precursor to immorality. I have chosen to not look at men without shirts or pictures of mostly naked people or even actual pictures of naked people. Even God covered the nakedness of Adam and Eve to keep their bodies from being exposed. The body is sacred and should only be shared with your spouse. The statement of women striving to remain pure was just saying that, I as a woman, and other women who believe as I do, wish not to defile ourselves with mostly naked pictures. We wish to keep ourselves pure. In my home, only pictures of the Savior fully clothed are on display. I love the Savior but will only look if He is fully clothed. His body is the most sacred of all and should appreciated as such...fully clothed to cover His nakedness as God did to Adam and Eve. Again, everyone has a right to believe as they chose and still be respected. We both have the right to have different beliefs and still be respected. To each their own.
