So, "hundreds of hours" of work went into doing absolutely nothing for that child. That is exploitation. Social services is exploitative. These people are getting paid good money to waste time prattling, filling out paperwork, ticking boxes, and shifting blame onto parents, instead of helping these kids. I believe that there is a deeply rooted class prejudice within social services as social mobility has suffered for many years and the majority of social workers come from more privileged backgrounds. Also, for anyone who wasn't aware, some foster care has been taken over by private companies, and the same with young offenders facilities, and prisons. EXPLOITATIVE.

How can that mother be so stupid ? Flushing that £600 worth of drugs away was a virtual death sentence for that boy. Can you imagine how scared that poor boy must have been, being completely aware of his perilous situation. Personally I would have returned the drugs to whomever in person with a warning to stay away from my son. That "higher up" would be grateful to get the drugs back but would also be worried enough about themselves to shun the boy from then on, even if the boy wanted to continue in that line of work. Having said all that, if I was prepared to flush them down the toilet, I would also have been prepared to move to a different town the next day. >
