foreflight is great but insanely expensive ,most students and such dont want to spend the crazy prices when u can with a little pre planning get same for free. where as if u pre plan skyvector is best .Aero weather and windfinder apps are great for phone
Thats a great point. For anyone other than a commercial pilot who needs all the tools, foreflight is very expensive and there are great resources outside of it!
