@@jonashcarmona4307omg😂 my thoughts exactly when he said the name of one😂 and the look of them.. hard to believe that’s what some fruits look like. crazy
More like these wealthy people with an eating disorder move to a poor country to take advantage of the cheap and varied fruit ultimately making it more expensive for the local
“Jungle Avocado” is possibly better known as Engkala (botanically: Litsea garciae). I wasn’t aware of any poison nor bruising requirement, but I was aware that you shouldn’t eat it raw. Usually it’s boiled. Lots of foods are poisonous in their raw state (that’s what cooking is for). Don’t let that stop you from sampling good foods from around the world.
By bruising it he meant how he sort of mushed around it with his fingers just like bruising an apple i guess you have to break some of the firmness in the flesh and that neutralizes the poison or something? Idk take that all with a grain of salt i never had no mfn jungle avocado
@@kendnearbruising is when you damage any fruit or veg with pressure (similar to how a person gets a bruise) it’s housed a lot to get herbs more aromatic. In this case he just squished it. If you’ve ever dropped an apple and seen it discolour that’s why.
That orange durian is called Manakuka in Palawan, Philippines 🇵🇭. It grows wild in the jungle. Palawan has a lot of native fruits that aren’t found in other places in the Philippines. Most of the wild fruits in Borneo and Sarawak are found in Palawan. That Engkalak is called Bagnolo in the Philippines. We also have snakefruit (Paratungon), several native Garcinia species, over a dozen native Artocarpus species, among others. And pf course, Calamansi is called the Philippine Lemon. It’s the most utilized citrus species in the Philippines but there are several others like Dayap, Biyasong, Samuyao, and Dalandan
Sri Lanka is the only country where you can find such fruits, rustic environment, rustic lifestyle and rustic food, beautiful beaches, sacred place, smiling people round the clock. Come and enjoy life in my country..❤️ Beautiful Sri Lanka
@@jacksonsinclair2615 None of you guys have tried calumansit, it has a unique taste that is BETWEEN a lime and orange, and quite different in both feeling and taste to a lemon, not a mix between lime and orange.
Yup imagine you eat red durian and describe it as avocado i eat red durian like one time every 3 week but never ever it taste like avocado😅😅 i think he had delusion because 8 year not eat any food than fruit
My body feels amazing now I eat 80-90% fruit and vegetable based diet no alcohol no processed foods. I had a ulcer on my leg for 3 years prior to my lifestyle change but after less then 3 months of this change and the ulcer is 95% healed
That is a very bad idea if you eat too many fruits. Fruits contain a lot of fructose and will spike your blood sugar badly, which in turn will lead to high insulin levels and with time, weight gain. Eat a balanced diet.
Don't do what bigzachful tells you. If you fast too long and then start eating a diet full of glucose and fructose, your body will try to hang on to every calorie it can. Moreover, fasting for extended periods of time is dangerous. You need to supplement potassium and salt, otherwise you will die.
Well depend on type of durian, there are lots of orange durian species in SEA, flesh / pulp colour ranges varies from yellow, orange and red, with those in between. Dont be surprised when u come across striped flesh too .... With different unique taste
Is pepper a fruit? I'm Canadian. I L♡VE fruits n veggies. They make up the majority of my diet. I have NEVER seen most of these fruits. I was even a supervising cashier at an organic food store for 7 years. I took pride in our produce department. We even had produce tests! This is blowing my mind! Holy moly. I love your flavour descriptions. I often think how hungry one might need to be to be brave enough to try some of these for the 1st time. The algorithm sent me you n my cat Bean woke me up with the munchies, so now I'm bingeing. She's asleep. I'll adult nap later. ♡ 🙃
Would love to know your story as I'm feeling very inspired by what you're doing. Did you already make a video about? How did you both become raw vegans, how did you meet and had the idea of a YT channel etc.?
This man is quite literally living my dream life. Healthy, getting to eat the most amazing fruit, lives in a beautiful rainforest (i think) it just seems amazing
I am amazed at his resistance to sourness. He came back so quickly. He's definitely adventurous! Eheheh I liked the ending, ooh! And his expressions. You know the flavour already and got what he felt.
I just have to say, I’m not someone who often eats much fruit . Or is really passionate about fruit at all , but I watch ur videos cause they’re really entertaining and you got a cool personality ! And the commentary on the flavor haha .
The "jungle avocado" is Engkala. It is NOT poisonous, bruised or not but it is recommended that you roll it before eating it in your hands. It's also recommended to eat it with a pinch of salt for taste.
The last one is called Uziza seeds in Igbo dialect. It's used to make delicious delicacies 😋😋 like pepper soup, Nsala soup also known as white soup. Porridge yam and so on.
I would love to try that orange durian! I didn't like durian at first but got used to its scent and taste. It's yummy despite not being popular among some people bec of its strong odor.
This guy is great and really wholesome, but i am starting to believe that what the fruit tastes like is what he is actually craving. I am not sure how he can remember what peanut butter tastes like after seven years, but by all means it still may be true.
My family had a calamansi potted plant when I was a kid and it would produce one fruit a year. It was too bitter for my parents so I was the only one who would eat it. They taste like pure nostalgia to me
kalamansi is a sour fruit and can be used for pansit pansit is like a spagetti but with gulay gulay means vegies the color is light brown noodles and kalamansi makes he pansit more yummy!!!!!!! earlier i ate pansit w kalamansi!!!! hope helped!😋😋😋😋😋 do u know mango as well???????
The small round fruit is the color of the ping. The way to eat it is to soak it in galam water and let it sit for 2 hours before it's good to eat. There are lots of fruits in Banjarmasin 👍
The calamansi-in southern Mexico they have limón mandarina (mandarin lime) that is the same or in the same family. The most delicious citrus ever! Really elevates anything you out citrus on. I love the sweet and sour of it!
I reversed Type-1 diabetes autoantibodies after 17 years, after being on a raw vegan for just 5 months (I have before positive test results and negative blood test results to prove it). I want to tell everyone that the right diet can help the body heal. If you're interested in having me on as a guest to talk about my amazing results, let me know.
Well! The fruits in this video series have been completely exotic to me, but in this one he showed a fruit that I actually do grow (calamansi). I have never seen anyone who could eat one of those out of hand, they are so sour and tart they make your soul convulse. However, they make incredible desserts for their Missile Level Of Orange Flavor, diluted and combined with plenty of sugar.
