"Let Me Put My Love Into You" is one of the most difficult Brian Johnson vocal lines I've ever heard him do. He is staying so high at the end of that song. Line after line is on the edge of human ability. If you haven't looked at it, give it a second, and really pay attention to the end, where he and Angus are both... juuuust cranking it out!

I always felt his most impressive performance, was "Shake a Leg" from Back in Black. He is screaming his head of but yet keeps on with a clear voice and articulation. Such amazing song, sadly there aren't any widely available live performances of it.

It's precisely because of how hard it is that he never sang it live! He might have in the Back In Black tour, but sadly there are very few recordings of that.

Number 0: “ I’ve got my bell I’m going to take you to hell!” I’ve always said, after Bon Scott died and fans learned that AC/DC got a new singer, there was probably a lot of grumbling at first, especially at the start of the the first song….but by the time they heard, “Aaah i got my bell I’m going to take you to hell” everyone was just like, “well, all righty then. This will do”

What an excellent, fascinating video. Brian's a phenomenal singer because he's always had this insane range but combines it with such a characterful voice and so much soul. He hits that G on quite a few songs, even on more recent albums (Meltdown is one), and on Rock or Bust he still hits the F#, though I guess F if tuned down a semi. He's immense on Power Up, nothing above an E I don't think, but he sounds like the 80s, seems to have got a ton of power and sustain going on, it's remarkable, it's actually Flick of the Switch style in parts. Nervous Shakedown, the line before the chorus - wow! But again, there are just dozens of amazing performances by this guy.

One of my music teachers in college would always comment on how high Brian sang. I did a little analysis of Shoot to Thrill and he mentioned the crazy range. I've tried to sing his stuff before. It reminds me of Painkiller. It's this unrelentingly high scream. Very cool. I saw them live a couple times. Sounded great.

The most total duration of a G5 sung by Brian Johnson in one song has to be in "What Do You Do for Money Honey" from Back in Black. Everything on Back in Black and For Those About to Rock except "You Shook Me All Night Long", "Rock n' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" and "C.O.D." have multiple G5s in them except the title track to FTATR where he only sings one but many F# 5s. He also sings lots of high Gs in "Goodbye and Good Riddance to Bad Luck" from Razor's Edge. He even goes slightly higher in "Black Cat" from Geordie (where I think he imitates a woman having an orgasm, so he's not singing words at that point). BTW "Don't Do That" was the 1st Geordie song; their only single from 1972 and was included on their 1st album Hope you Like It which was recorded and released in 1973.

It's stupid arguing about who's 'best'. It's completely subjective and a matter of personal preference. They were different singers. How can one be better? Neither hit bum notes, both had a different timbre to their voice and both had incredible range. It would make more sense to say 'I prefer' rather than go on about who was best.
