My five year old learned the first “trick” and he was so happy! Thank you for this video, it’s really helpful. I’m no skater but gotta teach him somehow. This is a gold source!
I took around 2 days… but I was Practicing it the whole day. Wake up - practice - eat - practice - eat - practice -sleep Not bragging… just saying that if you practice more you can do it.
Having my quarter life crisis by deciding I need to get into skateboarding, found this guy and was encouraged by the silliness and positivity toward beginner. Bless y'all.
make sure you learn how to properly place and use your feet! I didnt and had to relearn. tho now I can skate semi switch. but yea during the releaning is where I got most of my skate injuries. "I can do this!" "nope"
“go buy a skateboard, its your homework for the week.” me with my 153 overdue online tasks watching skating videos even tho i dont own a board: *interesting*
This is great! Braille, this video was NOT a waste of time. These steps are the crawling phase before walking. These were my first tricks I learned when I was a teen in the 80s and made feel like a skater when I was first starting out.
@@brailleskateboarding Wow! That's rad! (sorry 80's slang) Can't wait to see it. My wife has been enjoying your videos. She's now learning to skate. :)
They probably have curbside pickup, my local shop had curbside but i had to call them and ask because it didnt say anywhere online but it did in-fact offer it.
Dude me too.... im 32 years old and ran across this channel going through youtube looking for things to watch lol now I'm looking at boards and bought a used one locally. Just ordered a board from Zero Skateboards too. Havent skated since I was 13
I’m 41 and my 7yo boy just started a few skateboarding lessons. I’ve bought a skateboard yesterday so we can learn this together. Definitely a great video, something that I’ll try out together with my boy!
It's 2019 I'm 40 years old and ended up breaking my ribs and my wrist, trying simple moves that seem mediocre to some. But I will not give up, this is a passion for me.
Im also new to skateboarding. The thing i learned so far is, never give up and keep trying. Read skateszone.com/how-to-do-an-ollie-on-a-skateboard-for-beginners/
Hey guys! It’s has been a while but I have gotten a lot better! I can’t also do the trick now! And I can do a lot more other things! If you wanna see me do it go to my Chanel and I’ll post a video maybe this weekend of me doing it.
I just bought a board 3 days ago, I’m a decent snowboarder but needed something to pass time in Michigan’s warm summer. 100/10 tutorial to into to skate tricks
I just started. Bought the board a while ago. 23 now and struggling + the judgement from coworkers but still making efforts. Your videos have helped me a lot, thank you.
@@rahovartiv3464 in the past days I've seen many people +30 even 40 here on comments saying they are starting/restarting to skate, that's definitely not weird keep it going!
I'm absolutely terrified about the idea to break some bones at 38yo (I've already broke my arms when I was a teen). Still want to learn skateboarding, not to be a pro but enough to going around from home to university. I'm not a car dude. I prefer walking or a bike. How is it going? About your skateboarding skills. :)
I'm a 40 yr old dad and I just bought my 5 yr old son his first skateboard! I never learned to skate as a kid, and now it's something we can do on equal footing together and videos like this are so great for us both! his confidence goes through the roof when he learns to do something new( the guy in the shop showed him how to ticktock and it's all he wants to practice!) I hope the Braille team gets to see how these videos continue to help people years later, and bring skateboarding to new generations!
I’m having the same experience with my grandchildren. We are having the time of our lives and this is helping me to regain some concentration, physical and mental strength and overall euphoria.
@@dylankun28 it's tough man! Like right now I'm still trying to learn how to push without putting my foot down too hard. Every time I ride my back foot ankle is sore afterwards!
My mom got me a skateboard for my 9th birthday and I was SUPER EXCITED, I learnt how to move with it and ride it but never got into it until I saw one of your shorts. I was really interested and really intrigued, so I went to your channel. Soon it’s gonna be my 10th birthday and I really want to learn! You guys rock with your detailed videos and helping others learn. I subbed and downloaded your app😊❤!
I am a 44 year old mum, who's daughter has convinced to take up skateboarding with her so she has someone to learn with. I just got my first skateboard last week and we are now working our way through your tutorials. They are great for finding somewhere to start and I have achieved some of them. I like to think of anything on your list as.....if I manage it and remain standing, its a trick. Lol. Thanks! X
I just got my first board after a 20 year break, the first trick you showed, it's the first one I learned all those years ago! So can't wait to try it out again
Kj I started seriously 5 months ago 3rd day sprained my ankle badly just Raise your foot, Ice it, compress with bandages, elevate the legs in give it a couple weeks you should be fine.
Tony // na.. I was trying to turn my feet in (what I call) riding position (but the board was super old and not taken care of) and I wasn’t going fast enough so it randomly stopped and I lost balance.
Skated in to 80s. Back on the board, teaching my 6 & 4 year olds. Very helpful to have a punch list of easy tricks and a video to psych them up. Thanks!
As a dad, that can't/has never skated... you should have seen my kids faces when I showed them my "tricks" First Try! First Try! Dad status elevated. Kudos for genuinely easy "tricks"
My 5 year old is trying to learn to skateboard and this video is going to help her so much! She already learned the flip on in one day and was so proud of herself!
bluberry same got it last saturday and i learnt it within 30 minutes cuz i’ve been practicing with rollerblading since i was 4 :)) and the second day i was so good already :) sorry to brag but u started all these
I’m 25 and just started learning to skateboard and this video really helped me gain confidence in skating! It’s been a week and a have a baby Ollie now and working on getting it higher and more smooth ✨
@@traise2463 I'm planning on doing a progression video once its been a month! I can do ollies pretty smoothly, baby ollies while rolling, shove its, and working on kick flips (mostly doing bails right now)
Wow, nearly same story here! Just wrote this: My mother is 58 and just went surfing for the first time in her life! 😍This inspired me (25) to also start doing something new and I started skating yesterday (already landed an (ugly) ollie, yay). And now I think I'll also begin new hobbies when I'm 50. :) Hope I'll be as good as you in a month :)
I got my first board as a 9 y.o. girl in 1972 . Skinny board with clay wheels and loose bearings. Got urethane (Cadillac, yellow) wheels at 10, still loose bearings. Logan oak skateboard, Bennett Pro trucks, Sims Competition wheels with sealed bearings at 13. Moved to a SIMS Taperkick board with Tracker Trucks and Sims (green) Snake wheels at 15. Put away my boards when I went to college. Now I'm just getting back into it. I really appreciate your videos and your passion for helping people get into the sport--or back into it, in my case.
Ahnya Christieson mmmmm yeah depends on the stuff you buy on it like the bearings and trucks and wheels also the board the average for a board complete set 100 to 120 I believe and depends what you get on it. I'm pretty sure there's a range for 90 or 80 dollars for a complete set.
i’m a newcomer to skateboarding and this was the first video to intestate me in learning tricks the first trick really helped boost up my confidence when it comes to jumping on a skateboard or just getting up on a skateboard with out putting it on the ground. So if your a newcomer i do recommend learning the first trick to help boost you up.
Mayhem most of the peeps that say that are joking.. it’s very hard to break something while skating, yes you’ll get hurt but that is part of it and don’t let that stop you
I have never ever ever ever ever touched a board before and I got really interested in them the last couple of days so my moms buying me one and im doing homework let's see how long it takes before im confident at riding
Cheyanne Scott i had to do that. i live on a dirt road and my driveway is dirt and i’m still learning how to ride and doing pretty well for doing it on dirt :) you’ll love it
@@sebastiancurrin8252 I'm 37, should I start? lol. I was thinking of getting a onewheel, but lugging a 20lb board around doesnt seem to be very practical, not to mention that board is $1000.
53 here. Began taking lessons in January at Skate Naked here in Columbus OH. Well, I can carve some, and I can do an Ollie but only on grass! I don’t care how far I go, I’m living my teenage dream.
Dude I've learned so much from this channel and so much from Aaron. Seriously, he's like the coolest guy ever, an amazing teacher and one of my many inspirations to start skating. Thanks man you're the best.
51 yrs started weight training last 6 months to fortify my joints with muscle for many reasons at 51 but mostly so I can learn skateboarding and tumbling want to not be afraid to fall and break a hip lol! Want to start doing things I should have done as a kid…and connect with my teenager mostly your video had me easy you are a great teacher thank you subd at the victory dance look forward to following your channel thank again!! Blessings to you and yours!
I like to ride a skateboard but I'm the only one in the surroundings who drives skate and in my town there are no skate parks so it makes me a bit difficult but I do not stop because I love it
Ever since I dislocated my ankle and cracked my tibia, I didn’t have the courage to skate again and I was new to it and I already did damage to myself and your guys videos made me get my courage. Thank you
Just starting skating because of y’all! Huge inspiration. One of the first tricks I learned is actually from freestyle, tail-stop shuffle! So much fun! Bunny hops are pretty easy too if if you want more to learn
it took me 30 minutes to do the first one still can’t do it but i got a HUGE bruise on my shin :) / yo update! i literally learned it the next day lmaoo thanks for the advice tho /
Thanks a lot Aaron! As a begginner this video was really helpful..!! I tried all the tricks and managed to do them quite satisfactorily... Thanks for such awesome tutorial video.. Love from India ❤️❤️
