Try using what you’ve learned to answer small talk questions. Choose one of the two scenarios and share your response in the comments. 1. Imagine you’re speaking to your new neighbor for the first time and they ask how your weekend was. How would you respond? 2. Alternatively, perhaps you’re speaking to someone at a mutual friend’s party. When they ask you what you do in your free time, what would you say?
Im preparing for my interview in English next week and ur videos helped me a lot! Im planning to have dinner with my middle school friend tomorrow. If my friend ask how was my weekend, I would answer: It was swamped because I had to study for my interview while I had to take care of my aunty who just arrived yesterday from Japan. Thank you so much🌹
Met a new acquaintance at pantry in workplace in Friday afternoon, I was asked about what to do in weekend. I responded that I will take it easy and mostly run some errands as my nephew will come over and stay with us in next weekend, to pay me a long overdue visit. I am looking forward to it. Thank you so much ❤

Great video ! I would answer scenario 1: Hi Neighbor , my weekend was great nothing out of the ordinary but since fall is coming I had to catch up on my gardening and cleaning up my lawn.
I'm so glad this was useful to you. And you've got an excellent example as a response. It's brief but detailed, which makes it easy for someone to continue the conversation. Well done.
I recently discovered your channel, and each video is very useful to me! I like your style, how you speak, and the variety of topics you cover. Also, you are a pleasant person, and your appearance is stunning! Thank you so much for your work. Hugs from Ukraine.💛💙

I was immersed in the lesson. Even though I really want to immerse myself in a conversation, my mind goes blank. Right now even in my mother tongue.😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your videos. I found Your videos very useful and for English learners. Tips and advices that are given here are very interesting and might be helpful to reach our endeavors. I keep watching tour videos. If I might ask? The problem we face is a lack of an appropriate English environment which prevents us from getting fluency. the question how to create this micro-environment to improve our fluency? thank you so much for your efforts.
Thank you for your comments and questions. There are opportunities you can take advantage of to get meaningful speaking practice, even if you don't live in an English speaking country. A few months ago, I shared a lesson titled Practical Steps to Become a Confident English Speaker. In that lesson, you'll find many ideas for how to get speaking practice. My response to my friendly neighbor's question regarding my weekend: "It was a blast. My brother and his family paid us a long overdue visit. We enjoyed a drive to the beach and a movie later in the evening."
Hello Teacher. Thank so much for the lesson. I always enjoy your lessons. Please, don't forget the questions about the modal (would) the I posted last month on the forum. Thanks in advance.
I'm glad you enjoy my lessons and thank you for watching. And thank you for the reminder. I haven't forgotten about that request. I schedule my lessons many weeks in advance so I hope to do that topic soon.
My response to a new acquaintance at my friend's birthday party: " I prefer to catch up with some reading during the weekends because I am too busy working late at night during the week.
Great example response! Detailed but brief. And it makes it easy for someone to ask a follow-up question. For example, what book are you reading right now? Or what kind of books do you like to read.
I'm struggling to get a good result in IELTS but my confidence level very weak please give me some tips how can I improve and provide me your logical ideas which help me to take preparation. Thanks
Thanks for the question. For the IELTS exam, it is essential to 1) Have an excellent IELTS book to help you prepare - if you are struggling with one specific area, get an extra book that focuses on that skills 2) Practice consistently - this means multiple times per week For the speaking portion, the best way to improve is to practice speaking out loud. If you want to make progress fast, then recording yourself and listening so you can evaluate, adjust, and practice/record again is a must. If you're not sure how to do this, I recommend my free fluency training called How to Get the Confidence to Say What You Want where I share this technique.www.speakconfidentenglish.com/say-what-you-want-in-english/
1. If my neighbour asks me how was my weekend? I would respond like.... I took it easy and laid down in bed watching my favourite web series as it was perfectly refreshing after a hectic week. 2. If someone asks me what do you do in your free time? I would answer them as "I recently got into English learning, so i listen to podcasts and toastmasters of my choice."
Thanks for the question. To improve listening skills, it's always a good idea to listen to a variety of English speakers. A good place to start might be news sources among those with a British accent. As your listening improves, you can then start to incorporate podcasts, TV shows, etc.
