It seems all sneaker heads now hate the Military Blue 4s, which makes no sense, since the sneakers are almost spot on to 1989! The material is even better than previous retros! I guess it was too easy to cop for it be a great sneaker
Right. Jordan makes one of the most faithful retros EVER (color, shape, etc.), even the box still says “Military” (“Industrial” was only used in writing), makes them in abundance so that any and everyone can obtain them, and people are disappointed because of what? Such “disappointment” towards these is pretty dumb IMO.
The more Yeezies I get into my hands because of the sale that's going on, the more I'm getting impressed by the wild designs and technology team Yeezy brought to the table. Definitely a breath of fresh air compared all the stale re-issues and crap designs.
Yeah honestly if you take away the hype/controversy, most Yeezys are very well built and comfortable. Lots of funky designs. They tried something new and started a lot of trends.
6:10 it's not just the Boost, adidas is also nerfing Primeknit fabric since their Ultraboost 4.0 version. Now their cover fabric isn't anything like original Primeknit like they mention, its a cheap thin polyester layer over another one that doesn't have any comfort, durability and it burns your feet inside. Who else noticed that with Primeknit?
I was freaking disappointed at the lack of a 50th anniversary Adidas Superstar back in 2020. So much disrespect from Adidas towards an iconic silhouette. I remember how well they celebrated the 35th anniversary of shelltoes and I expected something similar, but they didn’t drop A SINGLE commemorative shoe. Still can’t figure out why
@@simoncaton1226 of course, but they could have just resumed the launch later given that’s such an iconic shoe. Instead, they didn’t even say a single word about it
Have to disagree with you there elliot, the 2024 J4 military blue (or whatever name you choose) is perfect. as someone who owns the 2012 release, the 2024 ones are by far more comfortable imo, and closer to the original in shape and colour. the greyish colour isnt even noticeable and still goes with everything. it was a retro, not 'reimagined,' so there is no 'story.' it's not really comparable to the reimagined series in this regard. the ONLY reason people think the j4 military blues are 'off' is because there were so many pairs released
But the ultra boosts arnt made specifically for running like the new balance 1080 and the rebel, and the invincible. Adidas has softer, lighter and bouncier foam called light strike
Disappointing for me is every AJ4 after the SB4. I don’t understand why Nike and Jordan just wouldn’t make every AJ4 as comfortable as those, now that we know it’s possible.
@@drewleaguenz5654 3's are for fashion too, and they don't hurt your feet. You can also get zoom air 1's so you can have the look and the comfort. Obviously not as comfortable as a modern new balance, On, Ultraboost etc, but not bad.
I really want to see adidas use there light strike pro tech in a lifestyle shoe. It is a way better foam then boost imo comparable to new balance fuel cell imo.
Having military blue in 1989 I love the OG colors. Gen z and younger millennials hated it, I get it. They\ still are amazing. The DNs are super comfy. I have the coconut milk color way and they \get tons of comments. The ultra boost looks like a Hoka or Allbird.
Tbh I think Adidas needs to accept the OG Ultraboost’s spot in history and try something else. Similar to how the superstars, sambas, Gazelles and Campus shoes don’t change. But they are accepted as a lifestyle shoe that matches a style Orrrr the make it like the New Balance 990 series and only release a new edition every few years with big changes to keep it current.
Why fix it if it ain't broken? Nobody has ever complained about Jordan 1 having the same design for almost 4 decades. It's called ultraBOOST for a reason, so obviously the only things that can be played around with is the upper part of the shoes rather than the midsole. In addition, energy return and cushioning are two completely opposite features that can never mix together unless each of them can compromise one another. You don't see a lamborghini or a ferrari running on thick low profile tyres and soft suspensions with maximum dampening effect, you don't see a bentley or rolls-royce being built primarily with carbon fibre for ultimate stiffness to reduce power loss. As an avid runner, I personally find the ultraboost light rather stiff, while the 5 and 5X have the perfect balance to provide decent propelling effect without being overly squeeshy. If you're looking for ultimate soft cushioning midsoles, just go for the invincible run or repetitor, but don't expect your run to be responsive.
I would choose Ultraboost over Hoka any day of the week. This new UB is like a combination of all the previous models. Maybe I’ll try them out sometime this year. As far as those shoes from Drake goes; they’re hideous.
Why get mad about boost/ultra boost with not making much innovation when Nike Air Max etc have been around much longer and they’re not getting the same criticism?🤔 boost works and I’d buy the original as it was now.
UB is better than Air/Vapormax, just doesn't have the Nike logo. The 1.0-5.0 were good and the 22 was perfect. The light is cool, but the 22 is perfect imo. But everyone wants "new look" and then adidas ruined it with the 5x. Air max ain't even that comfortable lol
Since Adidas try to make stuff with recycled materials it has gone down hill. Also it seems like they fired all their designers too...Their shoes since round 2020 looks ugly AF...They badly need someone who has been to a design school.
The militarys came out in 2006 & 2012 & 🤚🏾 i know I KNOW "🤓 well actually those didnt have nike air on the back" save it , thats a new gimmick Jordan brand uses to sell you on buying the same shoe a 3rd or 4th time
Comfort compared to what? Try wearing vans or converse shoes for a few hours, AF1's will feel like pillows. Now if you walked around in some new balance 1080's they would feel like bricks.
Tired of uncomfortable Nike retros... This old shoes are uncomfortable on feet, especially old Jordans n old airmax. If Nike need do some good retros, go Kobe line
Elliot page, is Jordan and Nike the same, after all Jordan is just a collaboration between nike and Michael Jordan? Because there's an argument about it.
Yeah, I’m an adidas guy and the marketing for Ultraboost is pretty bad. Like, I feel like you could genuinely market it as this comfy, long lasting, light as hell sneaker, but they’ll be discontinued to $70 soon enough bc Ultraboost doesn’t have that appeal it once had.
