Note: These tricks in combination with items like stars or mushrooms can make the tricks even faster, also I was informed that there was an older way to do the serve it in, but I don't know exactly what that is.
Nice stuff ^^ Also there is a very underrated confirm in this game and it's called the low chip. Basically you simply take a 45 degree angle with fast characters such as boo/toad/dry bones, do a grade 1 chip by pressing Z for a short amount of time then press B to shoot once closer to the goalie just before it tries to grab the ball. It's really effective and easy to do aswell
probably the best game of all time. I've plaeyd since I was like 6 years old and I knew this kind of tricks existed but I've never used boo so I never could do them. Thanks for the info.
Even for those who aren't playing competitive strikers, this is high quality content that everyone can get invested in. Not to mention a lot of this may transfer into Battle League.
@@TheFlaffyDaffy35 Regardless of whether Battle League was a good game or not, these fundamentals absolutely transfer. If you're going to revive a year old dead discussion, at least be substantive.
im so glad that im seeing this game get some recognition, while im not that good at it its just cool to see this because its my favorite mario sports game of all time, not including mario kart games.
Awesome, such a sick game! And a very well done and explained video, you nailed it. My only complaint is that it's "Belgian Waffle" not Belgium but that's just a super tiny nitpick, it's basically the same name lol.
Quick side question: how exactly do we use the boo's, birdo's, and toads in the game? They seem to be pretty useless (apart from birdo who is a power character).
None of these work??? I’ve tried so many times! Did they do an update? Because none of this works. Kritter just catches or stops my titan attempts and with serve in it just goes straight over the goal
Hey Arc, I don’t know if you’ll see this, but I was wondering, should I get strikers charged? I was planning on getting it on Wii U for $20. Is it worth it? Also what controller do you use?
Hey this game seems really really interesting and a lot of fun to play compepetively! Can I somewhere download it for dolphin or do I just have to buy myself a physical copy for the wii?
@@Arcintel you got the name for the "chip" correct. And don't quote me on this but I believe the series of passing in an attack on the goal is called "Tiki Taka"
Nice video Arc! Its still kind off similar to your Mario Kart content as its also a tutorial for a Wii game, but it is something different at the same time. Really cool! This also made me more excited for Battle League too.
Toad can jump over the goalie. If you use the star item with him and do it, you will never mess up the timing. Boo can deke through the goalie but the timing is tighter.
there are so many more tricks man ^^ although im not sure how many of them are competitively viable. This is such a blast from the past, I used to play this game A LOT. With my friend, we would start right at midnight and would try to be the "best player of the day" for that day. Our best win/loss record was like 130/0 (theres no skill based match making so its not that difficult). btw. theres a trick/glitch with boo where you do boos special into your own goalie. This somehow caused the opposite goalie to be unable to catch the ball. I'm assuming the competitive community has banned that glitch since its BS. It felt so good beating someone who would go for that back in the day :)
This is a great tutorial, but at the Belgium Waffle I keep messing it up somehow. Either my character kicks it into the Kritter, or more often than not, Kritter catches me before I get the ball. Can you help clarify and tell me what it is I'm doing wrong? I've gotten it to work only a handful of times, but with the inconsistency I've been having it's hard for me to call this a "Confirm"
