So if being a landlord is too much why not sell? If people need a place to live someone should be looking to buy at some point right?

Yep, so have sold our investment props and no longer a landlord. The biggest consideration to selling is whether you're going to get enough for your place that it makes the investment profitable, so the longer you hold the more likely that will be. Stamp duty etc. are sunken costs that immediately put you behind in the short term.

@@dadinvestor Well you did not explain how you became a landlord by accident when you had to rent it out to other people.... WTF I think you two were looking for the wealth as a bunch.... Sure does not sound like an accident to me if you two kept both houses at one point.

@@donaldlyons17 Fair enough. The thought of it being accidental was that we were unintending for our properties to be investments. We bought them to live in and due to life changes we became landlords (unexpectedly) as it we did the numbers and it made more sense financially to lease them rather than immediately sell.
