I was involved in the overhaul of. Two type French helicopter engines and the French turboprop for the Jetstream all of which engineering wise I was very impressed.
In terms of the controls (yoke vs sidestick) and degree of automation, the number of accidents involving pilot error are less in Airbus than Boeing, which would seem to say that Airbus has got it right, in spite of Boeing's assertions to the contrary.
The door doesn’t stand true anymore, as well as the barking sound I think, correct me if I’m wrong, but the door open would look the same as the airbus on the 777-300er, not flipped open, the hinge is the same as airbus, slide sideways not as the usual flipping outward. So ID these airplanes when boarding by the door opening would rely on the handle if flying long haul. Anyways, newb here, and very interesting in aviation stuff, feel free to educate me on how to identify these airplanes. Btw, i like air bus more, because they are masked, ha, however, doesn’t some of the Boeing are also masked now? This is so confusing
I’ve flown both Boeings and Airbus and left or right hand doesn’t matter. As a matter of fact, the captain also flies the Boeing with his or her left hand. You don’t hold the Yoke with two hands, you have your left hand on the yoke and the right hand on the throttles. So it makes no difference at all.
