Sad watching Gay now that he's gone ,he was without doubt the greatest chat show host in the world, he was never afraid to ask guests whether they were big Hollywood stars questions that no other chat show host would. He would have made it in the UK US , now Gay and his best friend Eamon Andrews and Terry Wogan are gone but their memories will always be with us . God Bless their souls

Why RTÉ allowed it I don't know. I'm sorry (but if it's not broken don't fix it) why change the original theme??do you see Eastenders or coronation street changing the theme every time the script writer or director leaves after 10 or 20 years I don't think so,, there seems to be no morals anymore get rid of the old bring in the new!! If you remember when Pat Kenny took over, the theme was changed completely, whereas Tubridy brought it back, so what you said makes no sense whatsoever. I grew up in the Gaybo era personally I think they should of scrapped the late late show when gay retired because i think the shoes were to big to fill after all he did host the show for 37 years great achievement in fairness.
