I shouldn’t laugh but the fact that Laurel volunteered to fight so she could win and bring home food and money for her family, and then the fact that Axel just ends up getting picked anyway is so sadistically hilarious
The things i loved most about this: there werent ANY main character, the game was the main protagonist. Secondly: the fact that nobody was safe, when for example fletch and ivy died, it happened so quick and so brutally, normally the good guys survive all that stuff but in this nobody is safe. Such a beautiful movie
This is probably my favorite fanmade Hunger Game that I've seen. The characters and acting skills were so perfect that it was a pleasure to watch. Great job, guys!
This was amazing and it really depicts the evil that the capitol has to force 24 children to kill each other. And when ghost ivy said “i had a family to go home to” i started crying 😭 this is a masterpiece
WOW this was absolutely amazing. the color throughout the whole film reminded me so much of the original films, and i loved that the winner wasn't(in my opinion) any of the obvious picks. I love how each character had their own personality and how well the actors portrayed each of them
@@Jessicajohnson23344 they weren't a couple, I would say that they weren't even friends, because they didn't know each other well, but they were allies and they trusted themselves
This was amazing!! Isaac was one of my winner picks and he made second place so I’ll take it! Side note: Ivy and Fletch were robbed (rip). Great job to everyone involved!
To Madison, the cast and crew of the 53rd Hunger Games: It’s almost been a year since this came out and I discovered this a couple days ago. I am so so blown away by the talent, dedication and hard work put into this project. This film was just incredible, from the acting to the storyline to the special effects, this is probably the best fan film I have ever watched. I wanted to show my appreciation for this (as a fan of the Hunger Games) by writing some of my thoughts. Storyline - I loved that the movie wasn’t entered around one character, but around all of the characters. I think this was mentioned in another comment too. I loved how we had no idea who would win until the very end. I was betting on either Laurel Raylee or Ivy would win so I was genuinely shocked. Even up until the last moment, I thought Isaac would win. I thought that the deaths offscreen like Ivy and Raylee’s made for an even more emotional journey with the characters. I gasped when Isaac discovered Raylee’s death. I also loved the continuity everywhere - Laurel killing Ketra to avenge her brother’s death - not sure how I didn’t notice this before (or realise Laurel saying that was for my brother) but it was such a poetic ending to Ketra’s storyline. The ending was chilling too in the best way possible - long lingering effects of trauma and guilt? Wardrobe - okay we need to talk about how amazing the hair was - Rachel’s low space buns, Ava’s Katniss style braid, Arwen’s bubble braid, not to mention Josie, Meghan and Julia’s. Also, I loved that Alice wore dark blue as opposed to black showing she is younger, less experienced and maybe lower in the pecking order among the careers (the quick closeups to her looking nervous when the other careers were arguing conveyed this too!). Among the careers it was also interesting how Goldie wore a red shirt, standing out from the rest of them, maybe foreshadowing that she won in the end. The fight choreography was also so good in this movie! I feel like a ton of films don’t get this part right and it ends up not looking realistic enough. The fight choreography in this was amazing. The blood and visual effects came in at the right times and were consistent across all of the scenes. I also didn’t realise how the subtle hints dropped in the first scene at the Cornucopia where everyone runs to get supplies were so relevant later. Rewatching it, you could see Isaac deciding not to choke Alice and Laurel getting the axe, the teamwork between Reese and Grayson in getting the spear and the brutality of District 1. Can we talk about Laurel shoving a backpack into Axel’s hands though, I didn’t see that before It all happened so quickly but added so much in the development of the characters. I was so stoked to see some really good characters. I loved that everyone had their own personality and no one was a cookie cutter replica of someone in the franchise. With 3 careers and 2 other tributes left, I was pretty sure Laurel or Isaac would win given they were the ‘good’ characters so the ending was definitely shocking. I’m writing up what I liked about each character and the actors, but there’s so much that I loved - I’ll do it in a separate comment tomorrow!! All in all I just wanted to say a huge huge huge well done to everyone in the cast and crew! I can’t wait to watch Genesis and all of the other films you have in store. You truly paid homage to the Hunger Games series. It’s so clear how hard you’ve worked for this, and there was so much care that went into this. The BTS looked like it was so fun to be a part of. Congratulations for creating this incredible film!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this! We always love receiving these kinds of messages because it makes all of the hard work and stress that goes into our films worth it. We showed your comment to the rest of the cast and they were so appreciative that you took the time to address so many elements of the film and even went out of your way to learn the names of the cast members you mentioned. We are SO thankful to have your support💕
58:00-This is my favorite moment. The dead tributes condemn the victor for her betrayal and murder. Most likely these are Goldie's hallucinations, but I can even imagine that the Capitol made a galagram of dead tributes (the equivalent of mongrels) in order to put pressure on the winner and create entertainment in Panem
Listen, Y'all are absolutely amazing. Pulling at every single heartstring I had in me and almost making me cry at parts. This is awesome and deserves so many followers and views. I can't wait to see where this channel goes and what is up next for y'all.
Things I Would Like To Comment On: 1. Ketra, Goldie, Ivy, and Laurel are badass bitches. They are fearless, which is an amazing character aspect 2. Fletch is a beautiful character and didn't deserve to die so easily 3. The actress who plays Laurel's acting is so spot on, especially in the scene where she meets Axel after the bloodbath, and when Axel dies 4. The careers were awesome and the actors were carefully picked out. The males looked to have a bit more muscle and the ladies also looked very threatening\ 5. The fake blood is so cool, and the sfx artist deserves more praise for their work 6. The way that Isaac and Raylee were so close is adorable, and perfectly snuck into the story 7. Ivy/ Fletch and Roman/ Goldie are two awesome duos 8. Roman's sword is weirdly shaped but still iconic 9. As much as Goldie was an awesome victor with her mini- story with Roman, I would've loved to see Laurel win 10. "Well were not in The Funger Games are we?" Is such an iconic quote 11. I really enjoyed Isaac's character. He's charming, sweet, and cares about others and is very against the games. He never wanted to hurt anyone 12. Ketra has her only little backstory. I believe she is trying to look all tough to the other careers by getting the most kills but really, deep down inside she is afraid of them and afraid of dying, thats why she's so brutal 13. Hidden romance between Goldie and Roman? Hello????????????
This was a really amazing performance. When isaac counted the total deaths for the last time including himself really upset me. He really was an amazing person infact everyone who weren't the careers were good people. I rooted for everybody
TBH Isaac and Raylee are really cute together.(Raisaac lol ) I'm glad Isaac made it far into the game bc I wanted him to win. I liked how he only killed if needed and was comforting.
Coming back to this two years later because WOWOWOWOW!!! The acting! The FILIMING AND EDITING! The SFX! I can’t imagine how long this must have taken, and I can’t imagine how FUN it must have been to create! Such an amazing and talented crew!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Yes, the editing took almost a year! The SFX makeup actually had to be reapplied multiple times because the actors would sweat it off while giving 100% in their fight scenes!
Amazing! Kudos to the composers, and to everyone really. I think my favourite part was when we saw Laurel go to kill herself and hear the cannon, then discover that the cannon was actually Raylee’s. Honestly such an unexpected but clever twist. The emotional depth of all of the actors (Alice and Isaac I think were my personal favs), the music, costume, SFX makeup, script, framing, everything. This is so impressive, particularly for amateur filmmakers, I can’t imagine how much work went into this. All in all, congratulations, you’ve created a masterpiece!
I was expecting a masterpiece and it is a masterpiece indeed! The story (especially the ending), the make-up, the camera work, the locations. Everything is simply great. Not to forget: The cast is fantastic! Impossible to pick a favorite. :)
This is AMAZING. Every character got great development and each had a story. I love how I couldn't tell who was going to win until the very end. It was just like how the Games would be like if they were real; death happening so suddenly with no time to comprehend, and the alliances between "lesser" districts were so well thought out. I loved the dynamics between every character as well. My favs were Axel and Laurel, but I love that Goldie, someone I didn't expect, ended up winning, because it showed how even the "victors" who had been training for this their entire life still end up with a hollow victory. The storyline is awesome, keep it up! I'll be rewatching over and over.
Oh my gosh THANK YOU! We put a lot of focus on those small details when writing the script and filming, so we are so glad to hear that they came across to the audience!
This movie can give me extreme emotions. I love it as much as the canon games, maybe even more. The acting is great and the script is absolutely amazing. I absolutely love it.
Okay me commenting again, I studied the bloodbath pretty hard to tell who died first, and basing it off of the actors for the tributes without names, and other peoples list of deaths here is what I got. Killed- killed by Bloodbath D4 male- Goldie (guess because he is not listed in the cast) D11 female- Alice D9 male- Roman (guess because he is not listed in the cast) D3 female- Ivy D12 male- Ketra D8 male- Goldie (guess because he is not listed in the cast) D6 male- Goldie D6 female- Laurel D10 male- Archer Day 1 D9 female- Goldie Day 2 (guess because the careers mention to meet together tomorrow midday) Grayson- Ketra D11 Male- Kaylee Day 3 Ivy- Archer Fletch- Alice Axel- Ketra Reese- Laurel Day 4 Raylee- Roman Roman- Isaac Day 5 Alice- Goldie Ketra- Laurel Laurel- Goldie Archer- Goldie Isaac- Goldie The tributes D4 male, D9 male, and D8 male could be swapped between each other in when killed. I have no reference on who killed them, so I was just guessed on them. Also the day could be longer as well.
I had to rewatch the whole raiding the camp scene because Ivy's death was sooooo cool, the way that if you don't pay enough attention you won't know how she died but then when Goldie throws her bow and arrow, it's obvious that they killed her when she was defenseless, love this film!!!
This is one of my favourite fanfilms I've ever seen! The Hunger Games have always had (and always will have) a special place in my heart, and I absolutely love any sort of fanfiction that revolves around the games we haven't seen! You've done a wonderful job, and the ending definitely surprised me!
That's the truly cruel thing about their alliance...Ivy and Fletch are ready to risk everything for someone who is only using them to get themself further in the Game
This was my first time watching a film made by you, so honestly I wasn't expecting much, and to be 100% honest I didn't think I would want to watch till the end. But, man this hit hard! The development of characters was amazing! The way you told the story, from so many different angles, made it hard to predict the "winner." The camera movements! And I have to mention the wording and the thought, that this isn't just a game, it's a game where there is no soul survivor no matter what. Every aspect of this is just perfect!! Not gonna lie I liked Grayson's humming and felt a heart string snap when he died. Love all the actors, this is amazing!! 11/10
Just incredible. If I should list everything I love about your movie, I would have to list every single scene. The choreography and all of the characters are so well fleshed out with every single one having their own personality. I especially like Reese and Ketra. Why? I don't know. But it's hard to pick favourites among the whole cast, everyone did great. The bloodbath at the cornucopia was also shot beautifully and everyone, even the characters who were only in for a short time, gave their best - and it shows. Also, what an amazing score! The choice of songs was never out of place or felt weird and Ava and Dani did such a great job. Thank you so much for bringing this movie to life.
Here’s something to think about. Victors like Katniss and Peeta are hero’s in our eyes. But victors like this girl. They are monsters. But why? Didn’t they do the same thing? No. Katniss and Peeta did what Issac did, they only killed when it was self defense. But her? She betrayed. She murdered because she was brainwashed. So who is the real enemy? As a wise man Haymitch once said “Remember who the real enemy is” the capitol. This girl is not the monster. She is exactly how Peeta was when he was hijacked. These poor kids are not the monsters it’s the capitol. All the careers are brainwashed. Same with Cato, same with Clove, same with all of them. They are not the monsters they are NOT the terrible humans. It’s the capitol. It’s President Snow. And if you look at the prequel, you could also say Lucy Gray. But that’s besides the point. Lol that was so long for no reason 😂
I caught deja vu: Ivy=Katniss Fletch=FoxFace Isaac=Peeta Goldie=Glimmer Ketra=Clove Roman=more Cato than Marvel PS: Reese had the potential to be a cold-blooded killer
This was yet again an amazing film I love to come back to this when I don’t know what to watch. I also love how it’s not an “obvious winner” Good job to Madison, Rachel and all the cast and crew ❤
That was amazing! I think that was some of the best acting I’ve seen in a HG fan film!!! All the characters had strong personalities, and the screaming was honestly chilling. RIP Laurel she was my top pick to win 😭
Isaac was my favorite by a long shot. MVP of the whole games.❤I wish they had the 3 fingers signal as an emoji... but they don't... so here's for you, Isaac! *Holds 3 fingers up*
Hey, kid. I know this is off topic but I just wanted to let you know, I have seen your RU-vid videos and you are absolutely incredible at singing and piano. You will make it far:D
Brilliant talent all around, truly. You all have put together a fantastic fan film at every level - editing, acting, camera work, etc. - and you should be proud. I will definitely be adding this to my favorite THG film playlist on RU-vid to watch again some day! I wish all of you all the best in your future creative works - thank you so much for this!!
Usually the excessive amount of grunting and screaming in fight scenes is annoying to me, but in this movie The lack of it was frustrating. Just a thing to improve! It makes everything much more real... Great movie
Thanks for making this. This universe has always fascinated me and it’s good awesome people like your are expanding it and filling in the gaps of parts of this series not even the real book author has told us about.
That was amazing. The writing, acting and cinematography were all on point. Big well done to everyone involved in making this, it's one of the best on the site :)
You have to admit that we all love that stubborn sarcastic character (in this case, district 2 female- ketra) Acting on point throughout, maybe try to get a larger age range considering hunger games is from like 12yr olds and up but apart from the variety of ages it's *PERFECT*
Also, at the/during the end when the ghost versions of them were yelling at her, I was like “Tell me was it worth it? Huh?” “WAS IT WORTH IT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?” “TELL ME!!! WAS IT WORTH IT?!?!?!?!?!?
Anyone else have a feeling that Raylee is mute? It could just me my interpretation, but it makes the movie have so much more emotion with Laurel and Axel being twins. The storyline was so well with all the cruel things the capitol did to these kids. And let me tell you, the acting was spot on for each character. It felt like a movie that could be made my professional. The cliff hanger in if Laurel actually killed herself was so incredibly planned out!! Overall love it and I’m so happy I found this!!!
@@familycircuspro thanks for the confirmation! And of course! How could i not put a comment on this masterpiece!! Again thank you for making this incredible film! I know have something I can watch while I’m bored! ❤️
@@familycircuspro I was rereading my comment and I realize me saying it felt like the movie could be made by a professional. I didn’t mean for it to sound like you all weren’t professional, yall are so good with the acting and filming you are professionals in my eyes. Again sorry if it came across negative.
Commenting this before the video is over and idk who I want to win! There are so many awesome characters! My favs rn are the twins, Issac and Raylee (aw) and the dynamic girlboss duo with Ivy and Fletch. EDIT: GODDAMN!! I did not expect it to end with a career as the victor but the ending with all the ghosts was SO MUCH COOLER!!! Justice for best girl Raylee and dynamic duo Ivy and Fletch!!
This film was so amazing! As you can see I changed my profile pic in honor of it lol! I love how everyone was the main character, and we got to see how the characters progressed from the beginning to the end. Such amazing acting and skills! I cant wait to see your next film(s) if you are making any! Such talent, and such effort and time was put into this. It looks so fun to do this, I hope one day I’ll make it into one of your films! Anyway, Best hunger games film ever and well done.
I actually would love to see the capital side of this. The build up to the games. Fantastic cast! You should really do a part two. For such a small company, you guys did great! And the cast is amazing. I sincerely hope a few of them go onto Hollywood with a big break! The character who was my favorites were either Laurel or Ivy. Both those two girls were powerhouses. Going on, the ending and the way it was written, sheer filmograpically genius. The way you portrayed the winner. I believe you captured the thoughts of many tributes after leaving the games. Even brought some of Katniss’s thoughts into it from the book. Moral here? Murderers always live with the torment of what might have been. Not only for themselves but for the victims. They have to. There’s a reason why killing another human is damaging to you. It’s against our nature. Prof Slughorn had it right when he told Voldemort, “to kill another is to split one’s soul.” You cannot do it without damaging yourself and those around you. Well done. I was pleased to even find this cast list on IMDB. You guys are going somewhere.
This is the sweetest comment ever! We're SO incredibly glad you enjoyed the film, story, characters, and cast! We spent so much time planning this film, so it's extremely rewarding to know that people enjoy it❤
@@familycircuspro oh you’re so welcome. Might have been nice to hear more back story of some of the characters in the story. But other than that? Flawless. I think if you do do another? You should plan on adding some character back story to give the characters more depth. For instance with my two favorites Ivy and Laurel, it may explain why their characters are so driven. Just my two cents. Not criticizing merely suggesting. You wouldn’t have to add too much time. You could even do the interview moments with Caesar type thing. I also know time is another thing. It’s hard and an hour long film with all those takes has to be a huge undertaking. So huge respect.
@@familycircuspro I’d like to make you a suggestion for a new one if you’re up to it. I think it would be a tough challenge BUT….. it would be really neat to see if you could tell the story of BeeTee Latier’s Hunger Games. Not sure on what year, but Haymitch mentioned how he won in catching fire introducing the victors. He won by Electrocuting the last 4 of 5 tributes at once. That would be a cool story. On RU-vid as you well know, we have Haymitch’s story and Johanna I believe…. As well as Finnick. Why hasn’t someone done BeeTee? Just an interesting thought. But with that said, you guys rock at blazing your own trail too.
I know I'm seeing this a bit late but the hunger games are my favourite films ever and when I opened up RU-vid and found this I was so excited to watch! This is absolutely incredible and thank you so much for creating it! You guys were absolutely incredible actors! Love this ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m not gonna lie. Raylee was my pick to win. And when she died I cried and was like “NOOOOOO!!! Just when they were about to become friends” 😭😭😭 I mean her and Issac. I said that after she died. Also, there were a few other parts that made me cry too. But overall it was great I loved it. Keep it up. 👍👍👍
@FamilyCircusPro Actually I just looked at the credits at the end and yes I saw that all three of you were in it. Wait are your names Madison, Emily and Rachel Traub?
