I always love hearing about "older" books. It's funny you mentioned KH because as soon as I saw you were doing this tag, I thought you'd mention The Women as one of your 5 star reads 😂The lettuce is looking beautiful!
Hi! I've just started my first ever King - Gunslinger - for a fantasy group read. So far, I'm not impressed, but I'm only about 50 pages in. I'm also reading Pillars of the Earth by Follett. I love his early thrillers from the 70s but haven't yet tried his historicals. It's gargantuan!! I may not finish til Christmas cause I always have multiple reads going 😄. Your lettuces are beautiful!
King and I definitely have a hot and cold relationship- I've never read Gunslinger, but I'll definitely wait to see what you think. I just harvested a bit of that lettuce tonight and made two delicious salads - I even had a bit of Sunflower micros left and it all came together wonderfully!
YAY! I'm so happy you did this tag. 😍 Because now I have a bunch of books to add to my TBR thanks to you. And Raina is a wonderful cohost, you can see her have an opinion on all the books!! 🤭 Especially the first book -- I've never heard one being published as an audiobook first then physical form. That's so cool, and different. I would definitely think of auto-buy as auto-reads too. That's probably a better version of it! I've been putting off Kristin Hannah's The Women 😂I know that book has shown up in the tag a couple of times and I have the physical copy of it. Been meaning to read it but my reads have been on the denser side recently so I haven't gotten the time to pick it up. Also YAY to winning the book giveaway. I cannot WAIT to hear what you think about it 😍
I'm so glad you enjoy my videos! I can't believe it's time to create my October TBR video already! I hope I have time for that today! I am currently bogged down in a dense read myself, I think I mentioned it in the video - "Imaginary Friend" by Stephen Chbosky. He is the author of "Perks of Being a Wallflower", but "Imaginary Friend" is a horror story by him!? Who knew he wrote horror? It's not my favorite genre, but it's been OK, so far. KH writes long books - LOL! I guess you could say you get your monies' worth! I'm looking forward to the Kate Alice Marshall book - the other one I read by her was good, so my expectations are high! Take care!
Great tag! Inside and outside 😂 Loved hearing about something other than The Women 😉😂 I like that you picked three genres for fiction and nonfiction as well. I also don’t really have autobuy authors, but definitely auto interested! Mimi tagged me in this too, so I will get to it at some point!
Thanks for another engaging video, the books you spotlight are often new to me (or at least unread by me), so I really enjoy hearing your thoughts - thank you. I also enjoy the Krakauer books. I haven't read any Grisham or Cornwell, I'm a bit slow to venture into contemporary prose, should rectify this. I would like to start reading more mystery & thriller. I can't read outside, too glarey, I'm very much an inside boy. Thanks for another great video, Reney - really enjoy following adventures with Raina.
