I’ve got a Howa 1500 6.5 in an MDT chassis and a vortex FFP scope. I love that thing. Could just about shoot the stinger off of a bee with it. Old man’s got a 308 and whenever we get them out for a shoot he wishes he had a creed.

What is your take on the Remington 6.5 Creedmoor? I've heard some good things and some concerns on the bolt action and trigger? Do you know if they've sorted out their issues?

I have a Wilson Combat recon tactical 18" barrel in 6.5 creedmoor. You're going to love a gas gun in 6.5 creed! Mine has a Leupold mk5 on it and it is insanely easy for me to get hits out to 1000. (Even with that short barrel) my friend's line is "that's a $4000 6.5 bleedmore" whenever we hunt and I bring that rifle. Haha

Always leaned toward Rem 700 bolt rifles. Decided to go down the 6.5 CM path to give it a try but didn't get a bolt rifle, I got a Smith & Wesson performance center AR10 6.5. Changed the stock to Magpul PRS GEN3, installed a muzzle brake and optic. Coming from years of bolt action rifles and years in the military with a Rem 700 308, I was surprised and impressed with the S&W AR10. I catch myself thinking about getting a bolt 6.5 CM, then question why after shooting the AR10.

The 6.5 Creedmoor AR-10 is a wonderful set up. I have a few videos up on the one I built and I am currently working loads up for it. I love your channel by the way. Also there is a company Uintah Precision here in the US that makes a true bolt action upper for the AR-10 lower platform. This is my next addition to mine as it would essentially be 2 rifles in 1. I will have a 16" 6.5 Creedmoor AR-10 and with a simple swap of the uppers I will have a 26" precision bolt action. Something to think about.

I have a 260 rem (1:1 for 6.5) and 308 win. Both beautiful. Nowadays I’m using a 223 and 308 for 1000 yard targets (Coke can). The 6.5 is great when I go longer. At 2000 I like the 7mm rem mag. It really depends on what you want. If you have the choice - get them all.

6.5? Never heard of it! In all seriousness the .264" is super versatile. And addictive. If you were to peer in to my safe you'd see a 260 Rem., a couple Creedmors, a couple Grendels a couple 6.5x284's and a build sheet for an upcoming PRC. Having said all that I went 12 for 12 this year between SA and here in the US with my 28 Nosler. It just hits super hard.

Bravo! I own three 6.5 CM’s. A Bergara Ridgeback, a Ruger Precision and an Aero Precision AR I built with a twenty inch Ballistic Advantage heavy barrel. All shoot well under 1 MOA and the AR is spot on at 1000 meters consistently. I hunt with the Bergara for deer and it is a 100% stopper to 350 yards with factory Hornady 129 SST Superperformance ammo. Can’t go wrong with it.

Picked up a 6.5 AR from Daniel Defense, waiting for my Vortex to get to me so I can take it out. Your channel motivated me to do my first 6.5 build on a MDT chassis about a year and a half ago with a proof barrel and Defiance action. Learning how to shoot that at distance made me want the same in a SA platform. Your easy to watch and follow content does open others to the shooting sports, keep it up, my wife and I are enjoying the process of learning.

I have both 308 and 6.5CM. 28 grains is not going to leave the target any less dead. My 6.5 is in an Oryx and is MOA all day even with cheaper ammo like S&B 140gr fmjbt. Still working with the 308 in it's factory stock and holding moa is challenging even with Hornady Match ammo. Want to keep it light so I may go with a Boyds wood stock.

I am getting into the PRS and hunting life and I have been shopping for ages now. I have some budget restraints but I wanted versatility for both. I just recently purchased a SIG CROSS in 6.5 Creedmoor. There are many things I love about it already but I am not too happy about the barrel length they chose at 18 inches. I am looking to change this out to a 20-inch barrel at some point. Do you have any feedback on this rifle? I am still a bit new but have done tons of research. I sincerely appreciate the videos and will also be looking at your course. any feedback or guidance you can offer relating to this rifle or getting started would be most helpful!

6.5CM was the first bikt action rifle I ever bought and shot, prior to that my rifle skills were just in the SADF with my then hated R1. Being a 308 guy my mind was stuck on 308 until a did some research on the ballistics and decided that as a all round rifle for me for shooting kaak at the range and hunt that I was going with the 6.5, found the perfect rifle for me , a Christensen Arms MPR, love the thing. But the 308 bug was still bugging me so I decided on building a AR10, after some research and the rifle gods kick my head I came across a FN FAL, a DS arms fal, dam rifle that I hated so much in the weather force had me hooked, it was a para model but it's all I could get, sold that and built another 1 with full length 21" barrel . Back to 6.5 I asked DS arms how come they haven't come out with a 6.5 variant, nada, zippo, so I found a fellow that's worked on FALs and persuaded him to make me and 6.5 barrel for my FAL . Let's see if I can manage to pull that off and have the first fn fal chambered in 6.5 CM here in the USA. Sure wish there was someone that's already done it. As much as I love my 308 I definitely love the 6.5 CM just as much. Great channel Piet, just subscribed.

Been using the 6.5 Creed for just about everything now. Thought about moving to a 6 Dasher for matches but I like when hitting a heavy plate at 7-1000 yards you can tell what side of the plate was hit where them Lil 6mm Creed, Br and Dashers don't move them around a whole helava lot. Splash is probably a little easier to see with a heavier pill too but I'm sure people will debate it.

Boy, one can see who is a BIG FAN of Vortex Optics; is when you have a Vortex clock mounted one wall. I laugh! Additional, I have three rifles chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, but when it comes rifle cartridges the 30-06 leads the pack (8) rifles.

Heheh, yes I love Vortex but the clock came because we are a vortex dealer too 🎯
