i’m going to oxford this October to study Chinese, so this is actually really useful thank you! i think i also fell into the trap of romanticising going to oxford, going to university, being independent free and having fun, and completely forgot to consider other things like finance, classes, organisation. thank you so much for this! and also you have such a wonderful energy, truly a blessing to watch

First of all, the makeup was sweet. Secondly, we had many similar experiences. I went to an American school in the Netherlands, though. I honestly wish I knew how much resources were available to me, and I'm glad incoming students watching this will pick one or two lessons from it 💛

I would love to hear more about classical archeology and what you can do career wise with it! Damn, this is exactly how I feel in med school now. Being surrounded by these people whose parents are doctors or highly educated. Feeling like they have such a leg up meanwhile I'm just slacking behind.

I actually went to Oxford a couple of years ago. I remember one summer night in second year, I was at a party and there was this girl there who was really, really drunk. At one point she let out the longest, loudest fart I've ever heard come out of a girl. It smelled so awful as well. It was shocking yet hilarious at the same time, definitely one of my funniest memories from university. Such fun times.
