It's important to note that not all of these are available outside of Steam (PC)! Are there any games I missed? Let me know and I might do a follow up video :)
I think the popular one like Green Hell, Raft, The Forest, Minecraft, rust, stranded deep, and ark don’t need to be covered because very body knows them but in a follow up video you should go over Sons of The Forest it like one of the most promising 2022 survival games coming out later this year (October). I really you need to cover this one.
Aground is a good survival game that may not look like it has a lot to offer at first but when you look into the later parts of the game you can see that you can build space ships and tame dragons and I have put over 30 hours into it and I loved from start to finish.
Derelicts looks so cool. It looks like a small development team, like just a couple people, played The Forest, Dying Light, Fallout 4, Rust, Conan Exiles, No Man's Sky, etc., and just added everything cool from those games into their own game. Like, they played Fallout 4 and met Dogmeat and said "I need that dog in my game!" And then played Dying Light and said "I need that grappling hook in my game!" And then played The Forest and said "I need that tarp crafting table in my game!" Etc. It's not a bad thing. It's awesome. Imagine a game combining the best and most fun systems and mechanics from all those games. That's the vibe I get watching this footage. I really wanna play this game!
Hello Nick! I'm Romain, the developer of Derelicts. :) I'm solo developing the game and what you described is exactly it! Haha! I'm trying to add all the cool gameplay and immersive ideas I've enjoyed in previous games I played to make my dream survival game! :) Thank you for all these kind words. I wish you a great day! Romain
Hey Rye! Many thanks for featuring my game Derelicts in your video! It's really awesome that you took the time to talk about it. I hope you'll enjoy it when it's out and I'm looking forward to get your feedback. Have a great day! Take care! Romain
Your game looks great! I love seeing the combo of different survival games together in one. If you have some decent lore built into your world I could see it being very successful 👍
I just want to compliment you on how amazingly you did it so far all by yourself. I have my eyes set on this game and really hope it will be as promising as it looks.
We just always end up back at 7 days to die, THE best survival/crafting game and if you get it with 70% off its a steal. no other game does everything so well.
I have very mixed opinions on 7 days personally, on one hand it can be fun, but on the other hand the dev's just seem to refuse to focus on important things like optimization, or fixing basic things like water physics leading to memory leaks
Two of my favorite genres of games, rpg, and survival. Mainly because both have crafting and micromanaging. I’m so glad survival games have been popping off, rpgs haven’t been good in so long. They’re easy mass marketed as in to simple, or the story is shit while crafting is good, or story is great while simple perks and crafting.
You forgot 7 days to die, Empyrion, Green Hell, Mist Survival, and Scum. Empyrion has probably the best base building i have seen in any game, and you can even build your own space ships, or download blueprints from a huge list of bases and ships that others have made. It also had a big update about a week ago, which made it better than ever.
You've most likely played Subnautica and Subnautica Below Zero before but if you havent, then u definitely should give them a try. They might be the best survival games I've ever played so far
Id love a actual realistic survival game. The protagonist is usually just average normal person but some how can smelt iron and craft tools and build huge wooden structures. 99% of humans couldnt do that today never mind a post apocaplse wasteland
@@beetle3190 Its the longest running alpha I know of, and if it ever gets boring, there is an awesome modding community. The graphics are not next level but for a voxel game they are great. They've come a long way, but it's still a work in progress. Which is kinda like saying it's a new game each major update. For me, it is the proverbial high jump bar when I look for new games, and nothing yet has beat it.
7 days would be great if they allowed you to go back to same map when you die in multiplayer...instead you just go to main menu join another serve and if you die well you get it....they need to do what ark does. Is that so hard? 2 they need to hurry up and stop having that conflict where the PC version is on console because the console version is not as near as good as pc version. hopefully another survival game like 7 days comes out cuz its indefinite what they are doing....maybe 2030 7 days will be out. @@raycar1165
This may sound off coming out of me but I still wish for a dinosaur survival game, except the dinos are acting as actual animals and all can be potentially befriended. Yes there is Ark but Ark is multiplayer first and foremost that came out when rust was popular. I was more thinking a more single player focus similar to akin to Far cry primal, just numerous options from weapons that would sort of exist in the stone age to early iron age and with a combination with environmental survival from Long dark where you can find or make gear to help protect you from the elements and wilds. With equipment that does a bit of both.
I realize this video was posted over a year ago but it hasn't aged well. Some games that are hyped here have been abandoned and some even turned out to be nothing but a cash grab.
Thank you for this video, after ARK announced for ARK 2 and never released it in early 2022 I felt quite bored with no survival games to play that are new, but this video helped me discover the deeper side of steam where I usually would never find any games like the ones you listed. Cheers mate :)
I hope you understand that WildCard is known to flop every single thing they make, including maps for gods sake, How did they f up Atlas? they copy pasted every single file into the games folders, and sold it as a new game and not a DLC, Extinction is still Buggy as hell, and genesis 2 hasnt even dropped for over a year and they instantly went to make Ark 2 and they are still selling Season passes that will definetly not include Ark 2, sadly wild card is a cash grab company and i highly recommend you dont pre order, cus everything they allow to preorder flops harder than a 400 pound manatee in water
Well ,most games were dissapointing, might give a try to V rising once it releases. Derelicts will be another great failure. Still, video deserves a like just for not being exact 1:1 copy of steam top list like every single other channel
I'm so damn sick of literally every single game coming out now, especially on steam that has "potential" & "promise". when the hell will there be a finished game like there always use to. Its like we as the gaming community have just excepted crap games that are unfinished and most likely will never be finished and still hand our money out. I literally don't trust any developers anymore. This early access crap has got to go, or at least have some type of dedicated road map where if its not completed in a reasonable timeframe, we get at least half our money back.
Im still looking for this kind of survival games but set in ancient/medievalesque fantasy setting. So far i got Conan Exiles (Which its the one i play the most), Valheim or Modded ARK.
when you said for Xera survival "the game development is super active" i almost spat out my coffee, you couldnt be further from the truth, the game has 1 developer, no that wasnt a typo it literally has just one single developer, seasons are meant to last 3 to 4 months but they get dragged out to 6 to 10 months because the dev is painstakingly slow at releasing updates for the game, the player base has decreased so much because everyone gets tired of waiting for the new season to start, not to mention the chinese clans abuse game bugs and wipe everyones bases on the servers and seem to get away with it, i played for all of season 5 and season 6 i have about 1500 hours in the game and sorry to be a negative nancy but the truth is the game is going down hill and sinking like the titanic, which is very sad this game has so much potential to be a great game but due to the dev and the chinese clans killing the game its just wasted potential of what could be a really great game. who knows what the future holds for xera i really hope the dev puts more time into the game and fixes the bugs that ruin the game because i havent played for 1500 hours for no reason it was and could be again a really good game, its fun to play until you start to get to late game and spend alot of time building a base only to have it blown to peices by the chinese clans which come for you with a chinese army of 20 to 30 players and a endless supply of explosives that they duped using game bugs you have no chance to defend against them they wipe your base then move on to the next one, all you have to do is jump in a buggy and drive around the map and look at how many bases have been raided and blown to bits you will struggle to find a base that hasnt been raided by the chinese clans.
Jocurile de special sunt : Raft , Minecraft , The forest , Mechanical screap and more , cel puțin acestea care le cunosc eu , și aceste jocuri realiste îmi plac la nebunie !
Sigh…puts an unreleased game on the no#1 spot, based purely on one’s own expectations. I’ve seen that too many times. When I read the title of this video and then I see this kind of click baiting title it pisses me off
Sigh... comments something utterly useless when the game is actually set to release in late 2022 in early access. When I read a comment like this it makes me laugh so thank you!
@@RyeGamesOfficial well I guess we will have to agree to disagree. Care to elaborate more on your thoughts for picking that game as no1? Otherwise my comment stands
@@michealvincent731 I have been in the Discord for Derelicts for a couple months, and the developer is alone and is more dedicated and ambitious than any dev team I've seen in years. He isn't setting unrealistic goals and is creating his 'Dream' Game as a passion project. As a solo developer myself I know how hard it is to manage a lot of that stuff alone which is why Derelicts has my full support and apart from all of that. I am genuinely more excited for Derelicts and all of it's unique features than any other game in 2022.
The last one is vary the forest looking still should be fun can even search cars and make logging floater things so that's an extra fun part and easyer log transportation couldn't do that in umm I don't think any game has those features yet except maybe car looting I'm sure that's in a few great games
Honourable mention to Raft - still very enjoyable in 2022. Also if anyone is looking for a more relaxing survival experience then I'd highly recommend Len's Island. And as for the future, I have very high hopes for Nightingale...
I want to play in this! I'm also really looking forward to the big extime primal menace gameplay trailer, I wonder what kind of gameplay will be there .. Has anyone heard anything about her?
The Atacama is one of the driest places on Earth. It’s so dry, in some places the dirt is more sterile than an operating room. It’s pronounced Ah-ta-cam-ah.
Just a nots: Gothic is a medieval art style, not just a game. V rising has a Gothic inspired art style to its world. The buildings for example are Gothic architecture.
I read this comment before watching the video and was like "what the hell would prompt this guy to state such obvious fact in the comments" ahahah Just reached the V Rising part
Derelicts is still in "Soon™" state so it's kinda bad u put this in this list tbh. If I learned something, then it is to never trust "soon" dev statements. Unfortunate, but it is how it is.
@@DerelictsGame I probably will! I've been checking in daily for updates and the like. I've even got a few friends to wishlist it so when it comes out we can play. Just take your time with releasing it.
The amount of bad games and mmo's on here... I'm sorry but you may as well include Skyrim for it's level of hunting, mining and crafting, it even has the new survival mode which adds hunger and cold. Even the mad Max game has a food and water system...
Holy crap, you've proven why you should spend more than three days researching anything. What a list of unplayable or garbage games. What were you thinking?
I'm watching this video because I'm already bored with V Rising. While it's a great game, and very polished and it's only in EA, it's pretty monotonous and gets kinda boring pretty quick. Mind you I'm only a pve player and I play by myself because I don't have friends, so that may be different for those who are not playing solo PvE.
Hello Jesse! I'm glad you like how the game looks so far! I've been developing it solo so far and it's really awesome and encouraging to see this kind of comment about the game! Have a great day! Romain
@@DerelictsGame in that moment i looked at the preview gameplay, i instantly prayed to god hoping that the development will be smooth as butter and that it will come out better than any co-op survival game, i mean it already looked like it is! Goodluck for the progress man, definitely looking forward to it!
