We ALWAYS stay at the Park Vue Inn. It's literally right across the street. They had a huge remodel years ago and it's a legit nice place to stay. We've stayed at The Grand Californian and I still prefer Park Vue.

Thanks, Chris. Our family is all about the closest stay since we spend so much time in the parks. We've stayed at the Camelot, Tropicana and Fairfield out of those you reviewed, and we love them all. The only reason we never reserved the Camelot suite you showed is because they don't have two bathrooms; that many people in two rooms with only one bathroom makes no sense. 😜

There are newer, nicer, cleaner, less expensive, hotels with better food and free parking on Harbor Blvd past the convention center. An Uber takes 5 minutes and costs $6-$8. Everyone is so fixated on being close that they overpay for a substandard hotel.

As someone who is going to Disneyland in 9 days, i see this as an absolute win. Edit: we are going to stay at the best western plus hotel, that hotel is an 10/10

We love to stay at the Camelot, valet parking is only $20. Last time we stayed there, as we were walking to Disneyland we met the one and only Chris and family. He was very friendly and awesome! Thanks Chris!!

The Camelot is literally right next door to the Tropicana (you can see the Camelot behind the Tropicana sign). The Camelot also has the motorized scooter/wheel chair rentals, a gym, and a roof top pool. The Tropicana is typically a lot more expensive than the Camelot for only a 30 second difference in walking time. The Best Western Plus is only 30 seconds closer than the Tropicana and is even more expensive. So save $$$ and walk an extra minute by staying at the Camelot.

We love your jokes! Funny story… 2007 our little family, hubby, me, Hon (11), Ammon (9), Megan (7) took our first family trip to Disneyland. I packed our microwave and pancake griddle to eat on the cheep. Haha When we got to the room I was setting things up and unpacking when the 11yr old said he needed to use the bathroom. I said okay. I thought I heard the main door open but I didn’t think anything of it. The next thing I hear is that 11yr old come in that front door and says, “ The lady at that front desk said we have a bathroom IN our room!” That’s when I realized we need to get these kids out more often!!! 😂😂😂

Stayed at the Anaheim Inn 2 years ago. Great stay. Breakfast was limited because of Covid protocols but it was still good. We could see the fireworks from our top floor room. Close enough to take a mid day break ap, change shoes (highly recommended), then head back to the park. If you drive, parking costs more and it's limited. We have our reservations made here again for our next Disneyland trip.

Thank you so much for this episode!! I love getting a current view inside all of these hotels with the absolute best proximity to DL. I’ve stayed at a few of these but I like to see the current improvements/ refurbishments and it’s also a refresh for my brain since over time the hotels kind of become blurry as far as what they offer- distant from DL, amenities, etc. Love it!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

As a silly little request, please include showing grab bars more. Is parking included or additional? Thank you, Chris! The last Disneyland trip I did, we stayed at a hotel near Disneyland BUT I DON'T REMEMBER THE NAME 😭 so these videos REALLY help! With aging parents, the grab bars are extremely helpful to see in hotels.

Thank You As someone that enjoys experiencing different hotels, I appreciate these videos. I was in town last weekend and stayed at the JW Marriott. Loved our view, and didn't realize its about a 15 minute walk to park (10 if you walk faster, and most people do walk faster than my family...lol). Last thing. That Courtyard Marriott with the mini water park is one of my favorites (especially because they decorate for Halloween). Second to the full balcony room at the Westin.

Thank you Chris! We went to Disneyland in August and stayed at the Holiday Inn on Manchester. It was nice, but I didn't account for how far it felt. It's 0.6 miles walking each way, but we went back to the hotel during the hottest part of the day so that was over 2 miles just walking to/from Disneyland. That is too much. Also, there aren't many people walking on Manchester at night, so it was a little concerning coming back. So we are now planning another trip and will be staying across the street from the entrance this next time! I appreciate the reviews on these close hotels!

Thank you, Chris! We'll done. The only thing missing is your "flag" to make sure "the group stays together 😊. " I grew up five miles from Disneyland in Fullerton in the 60's. Nothing but fond memories. As a child I even met Walt as he was a client of my dad's. Walt and Disney have always been near and dear to my heart. ✨️🌟 Keep up the great work ... and it's called a toilet 🚻 and I hope everyone uses it (lol)😂

Thanks a million Chris! My family and I stay hotels that are or near Disneyland. I have passed by these hotels as we were leaving to head back home to Northern California and I was always curious about them. The hotel that looked very interesting to me was the Tropicana Inn & Suites. The beachy vibe on the back of the bed frame matches the theming of the hotel so good. I have shared some of your videos with my family and they think you are so amazing in your work. I will have to stay at Tropicana on a future Disneyland visit. I miss the Carousel Hotel that was squeezed between the Camelot and Tropicana. It had such a great view of Space Mt in their third floor breakfast room!

When I went in 2019, I stayed at the Desert Palms. Its on the same block at Disney (no walking across the street. Its a bit further to walk (maybe 5 minutes), but looks over California Adventure, including on a rooftop deck. It had breakfast included when I went. I was able to go grab a muffin and a drink and eat on the go walking to the Park. Also has underground parking. Room was great, as was the staff. Was priced a bit better than being right across the street, but close enough to not make a difference.

Thank you! Our family stayed at the Best Western Anaheim Inn in 2022. Breakfast was fast, just as you said and we had no trouble making rope drop. The room was nice, and so close! For those used to WDW you will be shocked at how convenient these hotels are. And they are reasonably priced

YES! We love these!! I love helpful information and we have stayed at 2 of these hotels (and booked with GETAWAY TODAY!!) and they are all great! I love seeing the other options. These hotels are so great and very accommodating. We recommend so many of these hotels every time someone asks where we stay when we go to Disneyland. Thank you so much for making this video. People are often asking about hotels near Disneyland on Facebook. I can now send them to your video. Many people can afford “a little bit more”, but not the higher prices of Disney on property. These hotels are such a great value and I had not seen their interiors in many years. I have stayed at most over the years. I can’t afford the extra, but now that I have a pass I can take a shuttle or drive in from a hotel. Glad to know you also have a mobility video. Great service.

We stayed in the Anaheim. I think it's one of the best hotels for location, price, and availability. One thing to keep in mind is that it is an older building so the layout is very confusing. We all got lost so many times and elevators are super far away from the rooms. My sister had to drag a bunch of stuff up the stairs because she couldn't get to an elevator and it was stressful. If you have mobility issues or are dragging a bunch of stuff for little kids, it might not be the best place. I do have to give credit to the staff. There were very loud water running sounds from the pipes in my room at night and when I mentioned it to the front desk they changed my room without question. I think there was just one bad room where most of the pipes run through. Everyone else's room and my new room was totally fine. Also the Pizza Port restaurant is great. Great for low key dinner or to grab pizza and drinks and take them back to the room. Way better pizza than what they have in Disneyland!

Literally just got back yesterday from a weekend stay at the Grand Legacy at the Park...and your review of the standard room was the same room number we were in. Lol. Comfortable beds. Quiet rooms (we were worried when we arrived since it was very loud outside), friendly staff. The walk is super short, which is great after a long day in the parks. Would definitely recommend.

The Grand Legacy Hotel use to be called The Saga many years ago. The hotel itself is vastly different, but I recognize the pool shape! I stayed at The Saga a few times and we loved that pool at night because it was all lit up with color lighting, which was very 1970’s!

Decades ago when we would come down to Disneyland form the Bay Area we would stay at some of these hotels - Some, like the Tropicana go back to the 1960’s at least. When I moved down here and worked at Disneyland during the off season I worked at one of these motels (as they are called) at a car rental place.

Thanks so much for this video!! We stayed in Grand Legacy just over a year ago. We stayed in the main building. We have looked into all of these other hotels to see what our options are. I love seeing them from your videos as it really helps to give a better perspective of the rooms.
