Amazing video Justin. On the topic of wrath, the specific example you gave about how 'love-fueled anger' can be a good thing sometimes I think only works BECAUSE it requires patience. It requires getting up every day and doing the work. So in essence it's really nothing like wrath - which, as you said, is more about being impatient, erratic and impulsive in your anger

This channel/podcast has helped me build a foundation to where I am starting to see a pathway to a career in music/entertainment. Working on myself as a person has been a great foundation to give me confidence and peace to move forward with learning the technical skills. Its like removing a fog of useless ideas that distort your decision making/priorities in a production. I have been mostly guilty of Pride, Envy and definitely Sloth. Thanks Justin for grounding me!

Thanks for another great video JC. I enjoyed watching you begin to psychoanalyse yourself towards the end there! 😂 The part that resonated for me was where you talk about creating opportunities for yourself to keep doing the thing you love doing. Not valuing the outcome over the journey.... wise words!

I love these philosophy takes! However, I can't help but think that this is always looking back, and that most people will not take it forward. The most interesting things about these ways of thinking are the historical analysis. But, when it comes to advice, people just want practical solutions... philosophy can get so nonlinear and cloudy that it's almost impossible for people learning to grasp. But, getting down to business works. The trick is to teach the practical solutions, without weeding into too much nonsense.

Great video. The only drawback that is really annoying that it has like 15 ads through it and its beyond annoying if you listen on the background a have to skip everytime.. make it 4-5 not 15..

Thanks! You are right, I just checked and RU-vid put WAY too many ads in this one. I went ahead and removed half of them. I let them place the ads automatically, and every once in a while, they go overboard. I appreciate the heads up. -Justin

I think you got a problem with OBS or your camera, can I help you Justin ?
@SonicScoop
@SonicScoop 9 месяцев назад
Sure, always open to feedback. What are you referring to specifically? This time the lighting looks more blown out, probably because there is additional light reflecting off the snow that is brightening my face further, and I didn't compensate for it. If it's video choppiness, I think that's more the upload bandwidth for the livestream and/or an issue with computer power when I've been doing intensive audio or video processing all day. (It seems like maybe the memory doesn't clear completely, as it's more pronounced on days where I've been driving the system harder.) I think I'm going to get a new computer and upgrade to fiber at some point to increase the livestream quality. But I should also leave time to double check my lighting before going live! This one is overexposed for sure. -Justin
@DarkTrapStudio
@DarkTrapStudio 9 месяцев назад
@@SonicScoop No Im not talking about the lighting even tho yes you are clipping, but more importantly your image stuff there is a FPS problem, make sure to set bot the camera and OBS to 30 fps also, I noticed some interlacing, make sure to deactivate interlacing in OBS. For the light clipping your image just back off the ISO of the camera setting till you have great results, If minimum still not enough, close the aperture of the lens again till you got great result, you can look at the histogram if you know how to put it on your Canon if he has a split screen and just avoid clipping both ends and youll be good.
@DarkTrapStudio
@DarkTrapStudio 9 месяцев назад
@@SonicScoopThe livestream doesn't chop like that normally, ive noticed it in other videos that doesn't have stutters. If Its still a problem due to computer power youll have to close everything and turn the resolution of OBS to 720P, but yes, take a mac mini 1 cost nothing and can run Pro Tools and OBS in 8K without even engaging the fans. KEEP AWAY FROM THE NEW MAC PRO, you can't upgrade anything on it. You could also take the macbook air M1 (macbook pro if hot environnements) with a hub so youll be able to livestream, master and edit without any noise on the go, M1 and plug in it on your desk when in the studio. M1 is already overkill for what I see you doing but feel free to get better Its just my advice.
@DarkTrapStudio
@DarkTrapStudio 9 месяцев назад
@@SonicScoopOh sorry I misunderstood what you meant with "I didn't compensate for it" I though you mean you didn't find how to. But you can still deactivate interlacing in OBS and double check the FPS of OBS and the Camera to make sure the input and output is good.

2300 calories ? I can do a diet at 2000 calories Im only 178cm 65 kilos wth
@SonicScoop
@SonicScoop 9 месяцев назад
2300 is average maintenance calories for me. If I'm trying to cut weight, I'll eat that much on heavy jiu jitsu training days, and maybe more like 1800 or so on lighter days so I end up in a calorie deficit for the week. I've also done it where I eat 1800 or so calories during the week, and then 2300 on the weekend, but the other way has been better for me. If I stop tracking calories I'll inevitably start gaining a pound or two a month until I hit close to 160 and realize I have to do something about it X-D -Justin

What are you even talking about? This is supposed to be about the 7 deadly sins of production not a personal assessment of the cardinal sins. You didn't once say anything about what 7 things related to production that are sins or no no's. Like everyone else in the world you went off on a personal rant about the virtues of the 7 cardinal sins applied to a person, of a personal nature and music production is not about personal. It is business and getting the job done in service to the artist. It's a list of things one should not do when it comes to production, NOT PERSONAL! This is the problem with human beings, everything is personal. This is business and business and personal are not one. They are and should be totally separate.. Personal is at home or with friends socializing not work. This is work not personal.
@danepaulstewart8464
@danepaulstewart8464 9 месяцев назад
Business is when money changes hands either for goods or services. When was the last time anyone PAID for a record in any format? Exactly. There is no music business anymore. It’s strictly a personal endeavor. And the best of the best ever to work with music have defined it as the communication of emotion between human beings. Perhaps J.C. has hit the nail right on the head.
@nickknee-case298

Listen again I guess? The very first one already hit very close to home and made me think of pride in my abilities and music in a different light. The wisdom is in the video. You gotta think a little harder about it
