I agree the northland tackle rattle spoon is killer! Been using them since they came out. But one you didn't mention that could rival them all is a swedish pimple. The smallest size to the largest size can work wonders!! Specific colors of course. Tungsten jigs are def a staple! Lastly one of my all time favs is the jiggin rapalas!! Get er' done!! Fish on!!🐟🎣

This is really helpful, I don't get out on the ice very often so it's harder for me to pick baits than when I open water fish, thanks man!

Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ru-vid.comUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

I got 3 MicroZVibers for Christmas, switched on the trebles (NOT EASY) but wow they absolutely slay perch ! They are lighter in comparison to buckshots 1/8 about 5 seconds to get to 35-40 foot and the Euro Tackle takes about 20 seconds but the MicroZ is deadly for perch! I’m a fan! Zero hits on my Flutter spoons perch were just not having it.

For all-around average sized walleyes it’s got to be a rattle spoon.

@@calebwistad lol. Me too. The buckshot rattle spoon is always tied on. Most of the anglers here in Northern Manitoba (Cross Lake) uses a jig exclusively.

What is your opinion on berkley atomic teaser tubes or tubes in general for ice fishing. And does it help with a drop of garlic nightcrawler scent inside it . Looking for trout , bass, perch , sun fish species. Thanks
@calebwistad
@calebwistad Год назад
I’ve had great luck with tubes for trout through the ice. Not a whole lot for other species though. Lake trout, brown trout and splake all love tubes.

Can I use a buckshot just the way it is or is it a must to add a mino head to it when catching walleye ?
@calebwistad

A minnow head is definitely a good addition but you can add a feathered treble or a small plastic for similar effect.

Hmm wonder if he's sponsored by eurotackle 🤔
@calebwistad
@calebwistad Год назад
I’ll say two things right here: 1. Yes, I’m 100% sponsored by Eurotackle and not trying to hide it at all. 2: I wouldn’t be sponsored by Eurotackle if their lures didn’t do exactly what I wanted them to do and do it really well. I’ve caught so many fish on these baits myself and I happen to know the guys personally who are designing each lure and how much field testing actually goes into them. Eurotackle doesn’t release a lure that doesn’t catch fish and work the way it is designed to.

@calebwistad
@calebwistad 10 месяцев назад
Good guess. I’m proud to say I’ve been sponsored by Eurotackle for about 4 years now. They have been a great company to work with and absolutely have some of the best baits in the game. I’ve caught more fish on Eurotackle lures than any others combined, at least through the ice. It’s been a great partnership and hopefully I’ll be working with them for years to come! ✌️
