Nurgle in 40K lore is the evil god of disease blight and stagnation. But all of his followers can't feel pain, and always have these big dopey smiles, his diseases are seen as gifts, and everybody calls him Grandpa or Papa. So Mia and beezy's analysis was pretty spot-on

This video is interesting but honestly, I think I can speak for a lot of your audience, we all miss the "ranking every commander from x set" series, and would like it more than this. It's what me and a lot of people got into this channel for, and genuinely with zero hate in my heart, not having it and a lot of the other 2020-era NN series is why we've stopped watching frequently.

14:40 yeaah, thats how I designed my Nekusar deck. I usually don't give cards for free. I see way too many Nekusar decks that keeps goving out cards but its just more cards they will kill Nekusar with. They already get the one from Nekusar. Its still a wheel deck, been a wheely long time since I played it.
Not only am I excited to build some of these commanders, but there is a lot of support for some commanders I've been wanting to build. I'm making a Mahadi deck and decided to wait until Duskmourn comes out (or at least until after the pre-release if I get lucky with pulls) for cards like Sadistic Shell Game, Undead Sprinter, and Chainsaw. I bet there's plenty more obscure commanders that are getting some good support in this set.
I’m building Niko, already have a test version that did great at the LGS last weekend. It takes a little setup but there are a bunch of things that just kinda win with 4-6 shards. A cute play is ramping to Niko turn 3, turn 4 play Flickerwisp or Guardian of Ghirapur, target Niko to flicker, flicker the creature in response. When the creature comes back you flicker Niko again and untap with six shards on turn 5. With that many, Skyhunter Strike Force or Nesting Dovehawk are pretty lethal immediately. Angel of Destiny costs 5 so you’ll need 7 to also activate Niko that turn, but its trigger stacks so if you have 4 copies, swing at all 3 players and 2 of them connect, you gain 24 life. If that puts you to 55, every player an Angel attacked this turn loses on your end step. Card draw is a little spotty but Curiosity Crafter and Enduring Curiosity both get a few cards, or geometrically multiplying cards if the shards turn into them and connect. I could use a couple more heavy hitters and a couple more consistent drawn engines. Initial list wanted to try hard to copy the shards directly and use constellation effects, but it’s just too clunky. Three flicker creatures, four every turn flicker effects, three or so flicker instants. Glasspool mimic can copy Niko and die to legend rule if making two shards is better than copying another creature. Season of Weaving is also cute, never occurred to me that it can make a copy of your commander and then bounce all the non tokens out of the way. Skipping Sun Titan so far in favor of Guardian Scalelord and Angel of Indemnity, they can recur slightly more expensive stuff and threaten in the air if I copy them. I’m very happy with this deck for an initial attempt, and it seems like the kind of thing where I’ll get to be on the lookout for creatures in this color identity that work well in it. I definitely had to revise and scrap some things in the deck building process (fortunately most of the pricy cards got cut, except the Nesting Dovehawk which is possibly the most powerful creature for Niko to target), but by the time I got to the table it already ran smoothly. Great fun to play, too. Would recommend if you like the idea but like Mia and Beezy, you weren’t sure there was a deck there.
Arabella, Abandoned Doll is going right into the 99 of my Caesar, Legion’s Emperor deck. I don’t have too many ways of gaining life I have it set up outside some Aristocrat payoffs, but the deck is geared more towards going wide with Tokens for Caesar’s damage ability than just killing them for value so Arabella will be must have to amplify that effect.
Anim Pakal has a new "toy" in Arabella! haha But for real. Anim Pakal has been eating so good this year with Demand Answers, Trouble in Pairs and Unexpected Absence from Ravnica the Hattening, Ocelot Pride, Guide of Souls and Ajani from MH3, Agate Instigator, Three Tree City and Caretaker's Talent from Bloomborrow, and now Arabella, Reluctant Role Model, Overlord of the Mistmoors and Dollmaker's Shop//Porcelain Gallery. Already have Reconnaissance in the deck but if I didn't I would add it just for Arabella.
My addition to Valgavoth would be Kardur, Doomscourge, while I won’t be using Val as my main commander they will be an addition to a demon tribal deck I want to build.
Hmm, make a whole bunch of village bell ringers with the balloon man, they would all have haste and be untapped so the you could attack with them all 😳
Jolly Balloon Man is SO cool, very unique Commander in that 3 mana sweet spot, doing things that make you revisit red and white creatures of the past and keep him in mind for anything released in the future. Reminds me of Zinnia in that way but Balloon Man is probably better, trading that for the loss of blue. His effect also feels well at home in the Boros slot of the color pie with so many dies, sacrifices, and attack triggers that you want, and you no longer have to risk your creature to get. I'm surprised you guys didn't mention Eowyn, Fearless Knight. Her token copy gets sacked after actions but the token still ETB's and exiles a creature with base power over 1, so... everything worth doing this to. It's sorcery speed, but it's also untouched by most counterspells if original Eowyn resolves, is repeatable if left to sit, and gives the opponent no upside. Just *deep inhale* *psssshhhhhhhhhhh* creature gets popped.
Ashnod’s Transmogrant, Liquimetal Torque, and all the artifact untapped with Voltaic and Manifold Key as well as Sonic Screw Driver need to be in Balloon man!

Marvin, Murderous mimic seems busted as a commander and card in the 99 alike! Very excited to see if I can find him for my Krenko, Mob Boss deck but there are so many decks he can slot into that I'm sure he's going to be priced to hell and back.
Honestly you probably don’t even need big payoffs for Kona, just play it as mono green vehicles and Kona can get you free value cause even at worst it’s an extra land drop
Shouldn't The Jolly Balloon Man and Arabella just pretty much always exist in the same deck anyway, no matter which one is the commander and which one is in the 99? It's almost like if this was a precon, one would be the face commander and one would be the secondary lol.
@NitpickingNerds enchantments (or artifacts for the clues) have synergies to take advantage of. Maybe artifacts have more bc of all the treasures food etc. But enchantments are harder to remove. Could be a card that skyrocketed in price as soon as they print more synergies. Cool card I overlooked
Yeah you guys are underrating niko, they're extremely strong. I've built a deck that goes absolutely ballistic with them. Auton solider for example is amazing with them.
