Rami is 70. Some of his neighbors are calling him “Rambo” after October 7, when he grabbed a gun and spent 12 hours in a gunfight with terrorists. “I’d do it all over again.” Reporting by Tim Samuels.
just an insight from an Israeli, these people live in a "kibutz" which is a communal village of sort, many of them are hard laborers working physically most of their lives and many of them look much younger than they actually are, comparing to other non-kibutz-residents in Israel.
The other man who fought with him that day is a 60-year-old retired major-general that was a member of the IDF general staff who lives in the Kibbutz with his family. Brave man

i am one too :). He looks like someone who keeps in shape via spots regardless of his work day. i applaud him for standing his ground and also living a healthy life.@@meni2410
@@meni2410I love Israel as Hindu. Genuine question: these ppl are yards away from ppl who want to kill them. Why in the hell govt not allowing these ppl to be fully armed?
Respect to you sir. I suspect what you are suffering is due to your taking a human life. Regardless of religion I suspect it feels the same to any good man. As a Christian we believe Jesus is the Christ and that it is He who forgives us of our sins and cleanses us of all unrighteousness. I invite you to ask Jesus to heal you of these pains and memories. Regardless I would have done the same as you did. May God bless and heal you of all you have experienced. Talk to God He is truly our only peace and hope.
I do admire Rami's attitude. What a warrior he still is. And I love his philosophy 'if you come in Peace, welcome to my home. But if you come in a different way, I'm going to wait for you at the fence'.
I am convinced that once in a while you kill an innocent person. This massacre should never have happened in the first place… all of us need to learn that peace is the most precious gift 💔.
This is a testament to the quality of his training. 50yrs after he fought in the Yom Kippur War it just came back and he was able to defend other defenseless people. May you find peace after your ordeal. I salute you!
Drug-induced, Arab-style bravery. By the way, one of the very few Arabic words.found in the English vocabulary is “assassin” which is a corruption of the Arabic hashish. Arab highwaymen, would smoke hashish before attacking caravans of merchants . They would hold rich men for ransom, poor people traveling with the caravan, were sold as slaves, merchandise and valuables were looted, and women were rss as raped before deciding wether to keep them or sell them as slaves.
Yes I've read they took hopped up on fentanyl and did this two days earlier than Hezbollah had planned. It was suppose to be timed attack from both sides. But you read so much these days after Oct 7. Isreal I pray for you all🙏🏻✝️🇺🇸
Captagon. Also not the first time. It's a common pratice for years now. Threre were also cases they gave to children they forced or brainwashed to commit terror attacks.
Instead of thinking about how many you were forced to kill try to take comfort in how many little children and elderly people and young people you prevented from dying that day. May God give you peace and comfort ❤️🙏🇮🇱🙏🇺🇸
I hope he realizes that those terrorists made their choices to attack innocent Israelites and didn't care about their own lives with the risk of themselves being killed, so they made their choices, gambled and lost. I'm also guessing that they were probably also on some types of drugs to boost their adrenaline, so as to not feel fear of dying themselves. Just a guess, but I have the feeling they were, just like the nazis of Germany used methamphetamines and probably other drugs to numb their feelings when killing and murdering Jews, Americans, British and Soviets.
@@proddani-tb9gw you should fear the one true living God, He said I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you. He was speaking about Israel. If you’re cursing Israel please consider your ways, for God is the same yesterday today and always. First to the Jews then the Gentiles when it comes to blessings, not because the Jews are better but because God choose them to originally reveal Himself to them, then the rest of us … through Jesus Christ. Consider who God is and what he has done. Israel scattered across the globe then brought back to their home land and became a nation in one day. Then they miraculously defeat all the enemies that have attacked them. They will win this war in the south in the north and in the east, they will live in peace for years. Until the middle of the 7 year peace treaty. But in the end God will save them and wipe all their enemies away. Then Jesus Christ will rule and reign from Israel for 1000 years. Blessings and hope you seek the truth. As for the man in the video, I hope he can find peace that his actions were right and this was war. Those men choose evil and he stood and fought evil. Well done. Response to: @proddani-tb9gw 19 hours ago standing with israel is crazy, i pity you
My grandfather also fought and got injured in the Yom Kippur War. I can only imagine how terrible of a day it must be for a veteran who's seen war to take up arms again. Nobody hates war more than veterans. Yet they also understand better than any of us that sometimes violence is necessary. Especially when your family is at best, only a 4 hour drive from the front line. Israel is a nation of mostly veterans, and that is why we don't lose.
It's truly spiritual warfare going on. Thank you for sharing this story of an honourable man defending his community. Keep God at the front and centre. Shalom and God bless 🙏🏽
What a hero you are Rami!! May you find peace of mind, and may your family be safe. Am I wrong to assume that the journalist eas pushing him to apologise for killing terrorists?! The world had gone mad... But at least they shared his story.
I think its one of those questions people would like to know from combat soldiers.. where you scared ? and what does it do to you emotionally when kill an enemy ? but then again the interviewer does look like a progressive liberal.

there are no coincidences in life. he was the right man, in the right spot, at the right time and he defended his country to the best of his abilities with a heroic fervor at that moment in time. he survived. God was looking over him and the General. Thank you Rami for sharing your story. Genesis 12:3. God bless Israel.

You are a hero Rami! You did what was required that day! May our Lord and Savior Yeshua grant you His Shalom that surpasses all understanding. Rami, I pray for a world where people do not have to endure what you have. When I think of a person your age being put to the test like this it is gut wrenching. I applaud your bravery and wish you nights of peaceful sleep. Let the demons in your head of what you did not do pass and the thoughts of what you did achieve be your eternal flame of strength.
Rami you saved so much more than you know. All the families you have kept together because of your actions means so much to them. Actually it means everything. 🙏
This man is an amazing hero. I hope he can center his thoughts on how many he saved, not how many were lost. I pray for an amazing peace to overtake him and that he finds healing for his soul. You can tell when someone is a genuine and caring person. It is when they struggle after an encounter like he had. His focus is that he wishes he could have done more, when what he did was brave, honorable and he gave his best. There is no greater love than this, for a man to be willing to lay down his life for his friends. Quote from Yahshua Messiah. May God bless this man.
Rami, you and your friend, saved not only your own lives, but many others as well. May God give you peace in the midst of war. You had to do what you had to do.
I want to say good job. He is an outstanding human of his community, but I can see soo much pain behind his eyes that it hurts my soul. I wish I could hug this man.
What does that even mean? Honest question. Because no one knows how they'll react to having their country and home under attack. I'm sure there are PLENTY of brave men and women who would do the same if needed. So what "state" are we in, and why did it matter how people would react to having their homes attacked? And as an aside, I really hope you side with Ukraine, who are also defending their homes from violent intruders...
The Hamas October 7 massacre was a catastrophe not only for the Israelis but for humanity in general. Hamas should be condemned as a terror organization that does not represent Arabs or Islam. Terrorism has no religion
