As a life long Spider-Man fan I have loathed what Zeb Wells has done to the franchise. From creating characters who are either hated or forgotten or overpromising with vary little (if not any) pay off, to changing the characteristics of beloved characters. But as come November veteran Joe Kelly will take over the Amazing Spider-Man title having the Herculean task of clean up the mess that Zeb Wells has created through his four year tenure as head writer to Spider-Man.
This video essay is about my thoughts and what hope to see in this up coming series. From what I hope to see, from bringing back the iconic support cast and repairing the relationship of Peter and MJ to introducing forgotten characters and giving a controversial character a better purpose as villain. Can Joe Kelly make Spider-Man Amazing again?
