Sequencing is EVERYTHING. I’ve been using Dana’s “patterns” from his content on RU-vid, and it’s a game-changer. 90% of the people that do “speed training” don’t realize their sequencing is optimized, so they’re “speed training” a bad sequence (bad habit). Great content.

This was something I needed to see. I've been more like 3% sequencing and 97% speed training almost every day. It was kind of a breath of fresh air to see this. I know Brant is doing a very high percentage of sequencing. As I write this, I am recovering from torn trail leg adductor; strains in upper groin and thigh; and even strain in lower right abdomen... probably by doing the opposite of what you advocate. Gonna switch it up. Thanks for another great video. 👍

Likewise I was playing around with a swing every day type training à la squad every day, just working up to a daily max without a ton of volume but definitely hit the wall… Was beneficial though for a while just practicing being fast every day

These are the real secrets that nobody ever talks about or even knows about. The various “speed training tools” out there are not necessarily bad but they never address sequencing, loading, etc. They only focus on the “practicing swinging faster” aspect which, as correctly stated in the video, usually provides a very limited ceiling and short term benefit. A golfer would have far more potential for gaining speed by focusing on sequencing vs. speed training with bad sequencing. Great video guys!

Josh would you say that you are splitting up the 80/20 in terms of days or amount of time each day? In other words, 4 days of sequencing followed by 1 day of full speed CNS & PNS frying training OR... 4 hours of sequencing followed by 1 hour of full speed CNS & PNS frying training during one day... or 2 hours of sequencing followed by 1/2 hour of speed... or 1 hour of sequencing followed by 15 minutes of full speed? I think others may find this clarification useful. 👍
