I'm not saying there will be many, but my grandad god bless him always found them out on remeberance days, he would say, so how old are you, they would reply with there age, and he would say, you can't of been in WW2 you would of been too bloody young, it's sad but it does happen, to all those who actually served like my grandad, thank you for your service ❤ If you where there on the day at even 16, you would now be 96!!
My daddy served in the Army Air Corps. He flew over the English Channel and over the beaches of Normandy in a C-47. His duty was to assist the paratroopers, getting them ready to make that heroic jump. The enemy was shooting up at the plans, they would shake so hard and yet they kept flying with a mission of resolve. He passed away in 95' and I miss him so much. So very proud of you Dad.

A very moving ceremony indeed! Nonetheless, I find it bit bizarre that Présidente Macron is awarding the veterans an award created by Napoléon Bonaparte, an emperor who attempted to conquer Europe. Especially given the previous speaker was going on about tyranny and despotism. Still it was quite stirring seeing him give each and everyone of them the award with the attention and solemn reverence they deserved.

That is incredibly disrespectful to the honourable veterans that still remain, being praised for their courage. I'm not trying to say that Russian troops didn't have any impact in the war, because they did. They were a huge part of why the world was saved from the evils of Hitler and his cabal. Along with the US, UK, and Canada. The only reason Russians weren't there are because of the actions of Putin, the current leader of Russia, and that most of the world is now obligated to arrest him on sight.
