just a quick message, I wanted to say thank you for all the videos thus far, im actually about 11000 words into a sci fi book, probably garbage BUT... were it not for the AI stuff, I would never had got started, just using the free plans on Claude etc but am amazed with the amount of stuff I have done so far and the help it has given me. Thank you so much for the inspiration!!!
Claude as well as ChatGPT are great for prepping the writing process. Brainstorming, outline structurizing, finding proper character names and some intriguing concepts, or even cliffhangers. Even can after you are done with the chapter and you give it to ai, it can offer some add-on possible description sections that can make the atmosphere of your chapter better. Anyway, I am pretty sure it is great for many things, just not for writing the 1st drafts of your story. It is always like 4/10, solid but generic and I would almost certainly said, automatically 2-3 categories of writing quality lesser than any human. Nevertheless, AIs are quite helpful for writing, even at prepping publication of the books, helping to craft a fitting premise for the written book and maybe, if you have luck to achieve what you want, craft a great cover. Anyway, have fun writing with superb feedback entities known as modern day AIs!
Congrats. Keep at it. AI is perfect for reducing the writer's blocks that kill so many projects. One place I differ with @wtvhdentertainmentpro6064 about the use of AI for writing the first draft. Once you have a good plot, AI is perfect for getting the first draft done quickly. Everyone's first draft is garbage so why not make it AI garbage? (although as Jason states, the latest models are really good). The purpose of the first draft is to tell yourself the story and figure out the 'shape' of it. The real writing comes in the many, many edits and revisions. That's where your talent goes into making garbage into greatness.
I've been a bit torn on where to start with these tools because I have a brand idea that revolves around teaching a topic I'm interested in to various age groups in a variety of formats but I'm not sure where to start to get and keep consistent characters. For example, there will be cartoon characters in video form, those same characters in book format and even in coloring books. The overall brand is pretty comprehensive in what I want to do, I'm just not sure yet how to make it happen with consistency. And since it's very much not my primary job (hopefully it will be eventually), playing with all the various image and video AI's are often my sticking point.
