I'm not proud to say this, but I've made at least 5 of those 9 mistakes. One I'm not sure i did. The worst part is I knew I shouldn't be doing them while I did them and still did them... But anyway, great video as always 👏. Mike's awesome.
@@TilWeMakeIt yea! I felt so bad listening to this video ahah. Knowing you've made them too makes me feel not as bad, though, so thank you. Much appreciative of your content 👌
You forgot never bring your bag into a show if your not booked or going in the locker room with out the promoters consent just because you know someone on the card
Thanks, Zach! That second one is a HUGE pet peeve of mind, and is part of the outline I've been drafting for a video all about locker room etiquette. 👍
A big problem I see with coaching and criticism is that coaches and critics will often and easily point out when a technique is wrong, but there are extremely few of them who will tell you how to improve a mistake when it happens.
What an informative video, have been looking for a channel exactly like this for years now! If you don’t mind me asking, I was just wondering what your career aspirations were as you said that you never reached your ultimate career goal. Cheers! Also is your book available on paperback?
Ollie, I wanted to compete in the Super J-Cup. I never did, and given my age, it's safe to say I never will. When I train - I train like I'm going to the J-Cup. It will always be my brass ring. Some of my books - 7 Keys, Toolbox - are available in paperback from Amazon. There are links to them up in the descriptus!
@@ollieroe4525 Thanks for that, Ollie! I appreciate the support, and I hope it supples just what you need. Both 7 Keys and Toolbox are cut from the same cloth as this RU-vid series, so you'll see lots of points of intersection.
Hi.mike I just wanted to.say I love your videos there very entertaining and mostly informative 👍I'm a wrestling fan me and my friends even made our own videos on RU-vid ourselves just to.jave some fun. I also had a question you always add in your intros that you fell short of your career goals due to lack of knowledge from veteran wrestlers. May I ask what were your career goals that you wanted to accomplish that you couldnt?
It's true in that I think lack of veteran experience was one factor, among several factors. My aspiration has always been to wrestle in the Super J Cup. I remain convinced that the Super J Cup 1994 is the greatest pro-wrestling tournament ever held. To be invited to participate is as high an honor as I can imagine.
Oh I see pro wrestling does take a lot of training and dedication and good wisdom to go the furthest. You may not of made it to the super j cup but I see you have achieved other goals in your career. I've watched some of your matches and your very quick and agile. thank you for replying back to my comment I appreciate it and il keep.watching your vids and liking them. Also I was wondering if you had time to watch a wrestling video that me and my friends made years ago in our backyard?
Here I go with yet another question for you. When you go to wrestle for another company, what happens if that companies owner's significant other snubs you? When the company I represent went to do a company Vs company show , that bosses wife snubbed us all. It made for a bad first impression on her part, we felt. Thanks for your time.
SORRY.. if someone isn’t coaching or doing something right I’m gonna say RIGHT AWAY… not wait till later. We’re all there to learn and if the coach is too ignorant to accept that he can be taught something. FIND a NEW INSTRUCTOR… this is coming from a firefighting and safety perspective. EXACT same VIBE and ENVIRONMENT
yeah had a guy who side coached the shit out of everyone. EVEN going against what the coach said hours or days before. Pull you to the side and give you match pointers all that crap even thou when it was his time up his matches where blank slates. Dont want to sound like an ass but The guy who trained the Rock is talking about my match. He is the only one I want to hear from at that point lol
Maybe Im to used to union work nut I gotta disagree on the dont count you pay in the locker room one Sure dont flash it open it and count/ read the check it in the envelope nut chances are if you got under paid so did your friend Talk about if you got your full amount y'all dont need to get into the numbers but if you all get underpaid and no one is talking about it chances are that promoter will tried to do it again Now it is a different situation if the promoter comes into the locker room and says the tickets were light and no one is getting the full amount I'd rather that happen and be told up front that we got nailed by that then having to sneak around the conversation of money
