Hey Kyle .... I told you snowmobiling would be amazing. When riding behind a group or another, stay back but keep them in sight .... reaction time is more comfortable, snow dust does not get in your air filter and ice forming in it. The lead rider will always check on those behind him. When turning left ... lean your body to the left and press your right foot into the footrest or runner and vice versa. The right or left ski carbide will dig in and give you grip. You will get it after a bit of practice and it becomes second nature. Lastly, as a beginner don't go above 80 klms on straights and a reasonable pace in the twisty turnies among trees. Trees don't budge ... your bones will. There will be a time when you will master riding the snowmobile and trips will be fun and relaxing. You are young and you will be tempted to go faster, but use your judgement .... you are riding on ice and won't stop almost instantly like an ATV, sometimes the backend will fishtail ... be prepared and don't panic. Be safe out there.
Great video man! Snowmobiling was my first love at 9 years old. I'm 47 now, and still lovin it!! I go wheelin just ta curb my mild depression from not snowmobiling. Wheelin is fun, but it's not snowmobiling!
@@MainvilleATV many do, yes. There was a time when I thought I was gonna have to quit riding. But the snowmobile industry has come so far in just the last 15 years. I can ride 200+ miles in a day, and not feel like I went 12 rounds with mike tyson the next day.
Your reactions were the same as mine the first time I rode trails back in 2013. I'm from lower Michigan where we really don't get much snow anymore so we go up by Mackinaw a few times a year( Harbor Springs, Michigan to be exact). The trails you are riding look very similar to the Harbor springs trails! Looks like a blast, can't wait to go again. Love the videos, keep up the good work :-)
Good times on a sled I really miss going out on them enjoy it every time you go out because you are young and life happens !!!! Thanks for another great video I enjoy watching your trips out in the woods and I wish that I was out there with you lol !!! Drive safe buddy.
Bit of advice...keep at least one finger on your brake at all times (get used to riding that way), and when you apply the brakes modulate them, don't yank on them. Love the sled, love the sound.
I've never been on a sled before but maybe in the future I will. I'll have to go north with my buddy he has sleds but down here in lower Illinois we don't get much snow anymore.
Just subed, loving all the vids so far man. Have you guys thought about using the Sena headsets when you ride? Helps a lot with communication and makes the ride that much more enjoyable. Keep up the great work!
Fun stuff aint it. Money well spent. You will have fun times from now on each winter. Sure makes winter a lot more fun then just shoveling and plowing snow. Glad to see and hear you enjoyed your first major ride on a sled..
Love Petawawa river. Opp as well. There Always there after Rolphten. Hope you get further next year toward Matawa. Im from Pet by the way. Enjoy you snow this Monday morning lollll. Cheers! Jeff :)
For me to enjoy that much snow riding I'd hafto to come spend a week or so with all of y'all Canadians who get snow ❄️ of course I'd bring my Commanders if I was to come. Lol. Can't believe that you didn't have Cass with you. Great video I'd love to see someone do a comparison with a snowmobile and a SXS w/tracks and maybe a quad with tracks also.
Can you guys drink out on the Scag and stuff when you're riding your wheelers cuz I know you can't when you're snowmobiling or do you got to be on private land and do that
Awesome video, keep it up, my parents just bought 2 apex’s (used) and we’re picking them up Thursday im excited to ride it the rtx package and just for fun are you guys gonna get a yamaha for a second sled... and because you guys come from sudbury do you guys talk french
I think your close to my area. I heard petawawa being said. Is it near pembroke? If so i live about 45 minutes from petawawa. We go there to play airsoft. Anyway cheers and have fun on the trails and take it easy.
@@MainvilleATV its a nice place. I dont personally have a trail pass but if you ever come there's a few nice places in the Bush with lots of powder. There aint much rn tho.
@@MainvilleATVlol to each is own dude. Nothing gives me the rush and speed thrill of a sled. I actually read somewhere a snowmobile is the closest thing in accelleration as a top fuel car. Tough to beat if thats what your into.
That is not a missile??? No different then what Yamaha did with the stock non turbo 1049. Just ride don't worry about missiles. They have been around way before this doo.
