It's been a long time since we last visited the old Ford dealership full of classics Is it still there? Also we visit the rare Saab sports car lost in the deep woods!
Thats amazing how the cars in the dealership are not vandalized and smashed or gone. Where i live, there would be no chance that anything would be intact!
I really love your attitude toward respecting people and vehicles and property. This is the first video of yours that I have watched and it has captivated me as well as upset me and make me want to rescue even more vehicles than I do already. Incredible sights! I’ll definitely have to subscribe and see more of the wonders you bring to the wider world.
Been by there many times on my way to deering. Always wondered about that mustang in the window. Worked at the store across the street when it was Wilson’s triangle in the late seventies , yup I’m old..!
The owner of the shop I'm a mechanic at happens to have a Saab 96 in fair condition. He probably doesn't want much for it iether. It's complete, I've had the v4 running," actually runs very well" 4 speed column shift, clear MD title and even has the factory keys still. It's not completely rusted out iether and all the glass is good.
Love old cars, fell in love with a 72 Cadi Eldorado , restoring it to fairly good condition a few years back. It was a car of my generation, one I could still work on... Used it to run from hurricane Katrina, later brought it to Texas and finally sold it... May sound a little strange, but I still dream of driving it from time to time... For us older folks without much future to think about, old cars and photographs fill many of our thoughts......... Anyway, I really enjoyed the adventure you've taken us on... Also spent three years on an Army Nike Site, located in North Kingstown, RI, late 50's, came away sounding a lot like you.. Your New England accent is a pleasure to listen to... Keep up the good work... and thanks for sharing. Ray
Snake : I'd rather have that mustang sitting in that building for 40 years, than sitting next to the lost Sonett.... It would have turned to dust by now. At least it still has a chance at a new life. :) Oh, And to the douches that gave Amesie' 147 thumbs down ? WTF ! Why don't you losers take that thumb and turn it up.... your asses.!
Snake i was thinking the same I’m not a ford person but I would have to contact the owner and buy it it’s so hard to see a American Muscle sit there knowing it could be used and showed not just someone come bust in and ruin it
Now being 70 years old living in Oregon but born and raised in Concord, NH I noticed the white Mustang had the license plate 3448. My dad had the license plate 3449 for over 50 years. He got the plate in 1949 when I was born on April 9, trying to get 4949, but it was taken. 3449 was as closest he could get to 4949. I still have several 3449 plates dating back to 1954, when they moved into their new house.
I grew up somewhere else and passed a different place everyday. But it didn't have any cars in it. In fact, it was my front doorway. But at least there was no rust.
I live in Nashua and had no idea this existed, now I’m dying to go! I’ve been in the car business for 7 years so this is super interesting to me! If I just put in rte 114 in weare, in my gps, I’ll be good you think? Thanks!
Reminds when I was a kid living in Bath, ME. There was a closed down Chrysler dealership with a 1965 Imperial left in the showroom. Makes you wonder what is the story behind the abandoned car.
I had to pause the video when you mentioned how you say haverhill I'm over here dying of laughter ( I' currently live in haverhill) ahh what a good laugh lol
I'm from Fresno California. Anyway, about 20 miles south of Fresno is the town of Selma California. Back in 1977 I took a ride with a cousin of mine to take her boyfriend lunch. She had a super clean 1963 Plymouth Sport Fury, which at the time was just an old car. Love to have that car now. We took the exit off Highway 99 on to Golden State Blvd which was old Highway 99. As we wre driving we came across an abandoned car dealership. It was a used car dealership, but a dealership nonetheless. Glens Auto Sales. The lot was full of old cars. The newest car was I think a 1965 Rambler Ambassador or Classic. Most everything else was from the early 50's to early 60's. It was like they closed one night and never came back. Every car was completely intact. No broken glass, no missing parts. They were just sitting there. No fence, just a sidewalk that separated the street from the cars. They did have those really short poles that had chains connected to each pole for like a three foot tall fence. Easily stepped over and looked at all the cars wishing I could have some of them. One of the cars that stood out was a 1957 Plymouth Fury. Absolute beauty. Anyway, I went back in the summer of 1989 to see if it was still there. It was. Same cars, nothing changed except the vandals had come along to break windows etc. Most of the cars had been subjected to baseballs through the windshield which was pretty irritating. I dont understand why some feel the need to destroy things. I've never had the urge to do that so I'm at a loss. At least this time I had a camera and a video recorder so I could capture Glens Auto Sales before it disappeared forever. It is now gone. I've been back to find the location. The only thing left is a sign that is illegible. No cars, no building just the sign that once helped draw people to this long lost used car dealership from the past. As a side note. When I went back in 1989 I saw a 1957 Chrysler New Yorker airport limousine. It was an eight door model. Very interesting car.
Supposedly many have made offers to buy these cars, but the owner of the cars and building is the usual run-of-the mill, cheap ass old geezer hoarder (they abound up here) who won't sell for anything you'd reasonably pay for some clapped out hulk that need many thousands of $$$$ to get into running condition. Those cars were there 30 years ago when I moved here and will still be there (assuming the building doesn't collapse) rotting into dust 30 years from now.
@@banksieray4358 Do you have the address of this place? Phone numbers are in video but don't know if they could be correct seeing this vid is old and one of the numbers is listed to a business: Vacuum Systems of New Hampshire.
Man a good tow truck operator could have that Thunderbird hooked and out of there in less time than it would take for anyone to notice. Same with the Caddy, though don’t know why anyone would want that. The Lincoln would made some noise but it could be pulled onto a flatbed and gone pretty quick too.
Fun ride along. I think the excavation of the car would be quite fun to watch but being so far gone there isn't any point when costs and storage are a major factor.
we used one like that for lifting 8, 10 or 12 ft carpet rolls but it had a lift rope going to each end, not the middle. put a tube in it, lift it up, move it to a cutting table, pull the carpet from the roll and cut it up
There's a few old dealerships in my area like this. The cars are not abandoned people rent the buildings or rent space. The cars just sit sometimes for years but eventually they get moved around or move out.
Love the video I like seeing abandoned buildings how people’s lives can change in an instant causing material things to become worthless, priorities changed and during that change sometimes people don’t want anything else to change that’s what I think when people don’t want to sell or move properties this is their only memory of how things were.
If you get permission to get that Sonett, just rent a mini excavator. You could have that car dug out in a few minutes. Lastly, since that Mustang is still in that building, the owner must want too much money for it.
That frame with the cable on it is to load and unload propane tanks for residential homes and businesses...!!! That one is mounted on a trailer that is open in the middle...! It's old school...!!!
First car in the showroom-red 1963 Ford Thunderbird Coupe. Main car in showroom-1965 Mustang Convertible in Wimbeldon White. The Cadillac is not a Cimarron-it's either a Sedan DeVille or a Fleetwood. It's a real shame about the SAAB Sonnett III-my dad had one in the 70's. It was a fun car. Can't believe some prick would just abandon it in the woods!
Dravin Allen Vlogs the sign is wrong. That is an early 65 commonly known as a 64 1/2. You can tell by the trim in the coves. Also the grille is totaly different.
Beautiful 1969 Ford Mustang, convertible if I’m not mistaken. I wonder if it has the original rims? If someone wanted to put 25,000 into this car could be worth possibly $30-$35,000. So not a lot of money to be made. It would have to be someone’s “Dream” with no expectations of profit only the gratification of restoring and souping up an old American muscle car. Be a great gift for a good son. 😎
Went on a motorcycle ride down 149 past there in maybe 08. Still looks the same. They pay their taxes so nothing will happen to that building and or cars. Crazy though
Those were not Firebirds at the dealership - they are Thunderbirds. My dad has two ‘65 Tbirds that are driveable - one hard top, one rag top. He has three others in his garage that he uses for parts. He also has a ‘61 F100, and a 1939 Dodge that, sadly, is now just a shell. And he recently bought a ‘78 Ford flat-bed tow truck. His daily driver is a 1978 F100, on which he put a dump bed. Really useful, and quite fun when people are shocked seeing the bed lift up! I got a ‘65 Mustang convertible as my first car when I was 15. It had been recently restored, but they didn’t do a great job on it. They just made it pretty for a quick sale, and it had a cheap paint job that faded quickly after we got it. As a teen, I packed as many friends in it as possible, so within 5 years, it wasn’t in great shape. I bought a newer car that had more creature comforts. I still have my mustang, almost 30 years later. My dad and I plan on restoring it when he retires...IF I can get him to retire! Lol
Dude, get in touch with Dennis Collins, coffee walks. He will make a fair market offer for every one of those automobiles. I love your videos by the way Man 👍☮️
Normally even if they have No Trespassing signs displayed, you have to be Trespassed off the property by a police officer, which means he warns you not to come back on the property again ever, and if you do, you go to jail. Now if you go inside the bld, or whatever. then you go directory to jail, and you dont pass Go. But maybe thats just in Fla.
Looks like someone finally sold the building/it's contents before 11 mos ago. 513 Dustin Tavern Rd on maps- all the cars are gone, different cars & equipment in the side & back lot. Can't see the Mustang through the window. Hope you got your soccerball wheels from that Sonnet!
I've seen this before, two nice Corvettes, slowly going to hell sitting outside I went through all the work of finding the owner, Drunk sitting watching TV I asked if I could come up and he gave me directions. I got him standing and took him out to dinner, he smelled a little foul, but he ate dinner and some drinks. His brother was a friend of mine but had died. Romaic fever. I bought a 59 Corvette back in 1968, and I fixed up nice as a daily driver. Then I got drafted. He had the original air cleaner, I asked if he'd sell it to me, Nothin doing I've been looking for the car since I got out of the service. I finally found the car, it was in Florida, had a good home. But even after a nice dinner in a fancy place, he wouldn't sell that air cleaner ???People are funny. He'll die and his kin with throw it out in the trash. Can't save them all.
There are too many nosy people on private property with cameras these days. I have the same issue with people hunting "abandoned" properties at my place. I always tell them never to come back.
I know exactly where that old dealership is located in N.H. , Several years ago I went to a massive parts auction which drew a lot of people from all over. Only thing I came away with was a red 64 Ford galaxie dealer promo model out of a large collection and gave good dollars for it,still have it !
That was actually a 1985or 1986 Cadillac sedan Deville maybe even a fleetwood because of the half top! But yes the cimarron was the most dreadful example of a Cadillac ✨✨✨
That car probably wasn’t buried. Some kids were probably out driving through the woods and got the car stuck in the mud, and just abandoned it cause they couldn’t get it unstuck.
at 10:23, thats my cousin's maple syrup collection tank. he has a sugar bush tapped up the hill from there. last time I was there about 5 or so years ago, the bldg there was still standing. firetruck was right there, they cleaned out a few cars there.
