sounds like a great idea Rem and Ram. both of your S15s were blue upon purchase so you should atleast keep one of them blue. though if you do the twins you'll need Emilia, Beako, Subaru, Frederica and Petra...

Love the s15, I think you should build the car like it was before. Maybe not the rocket bunny kit but keep the same engine setup and wheels.

I'm not really a big fan of this type of car, not that I hate it or anything. It's just great to watch the steps your taking to revive it, and it's so surprising to see how easy it is when, you just know how, and what to do, along with having the proper tools to actually do it. An old timer I used to turn wrenches with showed me you can actually take ATF fill your engine with appropriate amount and run it in your engine for about 30-60ish seconds and it will work like an engine flush an clean most of that gunk out

Dang the rust is real there. I live in the desert of New Mexico and we have no rust. Very low humidity most of the year, but the sand and dust will get into everything and clog your air intake and anything with grease. No rust but Dust. Also the sun melts clear coats HAHA. Good stuff, Sam!

Closer inspection shows what the real condition of that car is. Corrosion everywhere. Personally I wouldn’t have tried doing a burnout as it didn’t sound 💯 and was struggling at that in the wet.

That S15 is gonna be great! Can't wait for the rest of the series on this car!

You can take the fuel return or feed line off and run the fuel pump to get the fuel out, that's why not running the best cause gas is old

It's great to see and hear it working so well after sitting for that long i think if you want to go the twin route keep it blue put either the same kit from your pink one or something similar but keep the wheels that are on there and have it as a driver I'd keep the bags for the look loving the content

I like the whole idea of that being a drift street build with some interior bits and music and the wifey in her own bucket seat maybe with the rocket bunny kit back on.....

I've seen layers of sludge like that on the bottom of a pan when too much assembly lube is used. It does catch n trap pieces of debris somewhat. ATI dampers can be rebuilt and should every 10yrs/10k miles or on a real radical engine with hard use, every season.

FVP is the standard oil we use at my shop! It does just fine for normal motors, but I don't know that I would ever put that in an SR!

I still can’t get over you getting a running and driving s15 in fair condition with some nice parts for 3,500. That’s a once in a lifetime find and you must have done something great in a previous life to get that deal. I’m definitely jealous but honestly I don’t think this car could have gone to a better person than you Sam and can’t wait to see what you do with it.BTW IF you do decide to keep it blue you should paint it the same shade of blue as the Autech s15 Jimmy O has.

What a GREAT FIND! I wish I had your knowledge and experience with cars... My engine is Hydrolocked, but I think I can fix it, but, RU-vid only has so many troubleshooting videos about it, and I only have so many tools. Really NICE WORK! Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

love that car, very similair colour to my old S14, great work upto now! SR oil squirter oh no.... probably find that bore to be toast if that pistons got hot enough. Get some Darton sleeves in it with some new squirters :) :) pistons will be fine after a touch from the valve unless it snapped and sat in the bore... have a look at the old head and see if theres any chips in the face Keep the content coming

THAT SHIM!!!!!!!!!! 24:00 i hated when i had my SR head rebuit in 07, trying to get proper shims that measured right after the valve job was a major PITA.. when ever i see the Tomei variety pack of shims come up for sale, i get them just in case i or someone i know needs some.

Sammit also release the water trap for the air system There is probably moisture in the tank, lines and manifold. Not going to help with leaks but it’s helpful for operation
