That is the school I graduated from in 1986. Wow. Sad memories. The school building and the church and office. The building in the bushes is the newly erected multipurpose building which was never finished prior to the war.

I am impressed by your desire to spotlight development activities and areas of neglect and decay in Liberia. Your video postings provide nostalgia and desire to be involved in rebuilding neglected parts of our country. Thank you for your recent posts highlighting our abandoned alma mater, Suehn Industrial Academy, and its neighboring town of Suehn. My hope is that these stories will inspire people of goodwill, district, and county leaders to bring potable drinking water to Suehn Town and work toward rebuilding and revitalizing the once-renown Suehn Industrial Academy. You deserve a Liberian journalistic award for your work, and I will research how to nominate you. Keep up the great job!

Thanks for taking the risk in bringing to light some of the most remote places of our country, Liberia.

Oh wow. I also graduated from Bendoo Industrial Mission in 1987. At least a few buildings of Suehn are in good condition, while Bendoo has almost nothing left.

One of the prestigious schools back in the days. I think it is owned by either the Presbyterian Church or Baptist Church. The Alumni Association has to do something to save their Alma mater

Suehn Industrial Mission is a sister school of Bendoo Industrial Mission (BIM). The school boarding institutions were founded by the Foreign Mission Board of the National Baptist Convention USA. Bendoo Mission was founded 1882 earlier than Suehn.

This is the sister school to Lott Carey & Rick's. However, the Southern Baptist in USA, may not have the funds to take on such a task.

@geneviedaniels1290 the Southern Baptist turnover Ricks to the Liberian Baptist Covention in the 1980s. Suehn and Bendoo belong to the National Baptist Covention USA while Lott Carey belongs to the Lott Carey Baptist Convention.

Liberia was a good country. I can clearly remember people from neighboring countries used to flood into Liberia for a better life . Liberia hosted refugees from other African countries that had problems; even as far as from South Africa. I also remember when labs from neighboring countries were sent to JFK to be done. Because Liberian are caring and carefree people; so we didn’t know how good our country was until we lost the good things that we had. But the foreigners knew how good Liberia was so they made good use of it, took what they could, called us a fool and left.(who can blame them?) I personally didn’t know any other currency except the US dollars and some Liberian coins, that was it. While we didn’t know how valuable the US dollars was, the foreigners knew it. So they came and made use of it. The country was safe and though people made little salary, they still lived a happy life. I pray that God make Liberia better again for this young generation.

The greediness of Liberia 🇱🇷 destroys everything. Everything that took place during the war was all greed and self people who intentionally destroyed that land.

The current structures are outdated. New and modern facilities need to be built.
