This track was filmed at Poole's Cavern in Buxton, one of the finest show caves in England. This limestone cavern has been sculpted over millions of years having evidence of prehistoric life found from Neolithic and Early Bronze Age. You can visit the cavern and go on guided tours to learn about it's history and see the Englands longest stalactite. Ambedo Productions is a field recording company that takes the production out of the studio and into acoustically interesting locations. We record and film a variety of folk musicians in different spaces around England to capture music in natural and vibrant spaces. With some exciting recordings coming up throughout the month, we are working on putting together a debut CD of all the gorgeous spaces and musicians to showcase the alternative recording techniques.
The word Ambedo means the feeling of being absorbed in vivid sensory details which is something we are hoping to represent through our productions, presenting how different environments influence different pieces of music.
