Every time i try using ableton vocoder with my mic i get a huge amount of feedback and have to turn down the levels so low i can barely hear the vocoder at all. This happens even when i follow tutorial for ableton vocoder step by step . I get a ton of feedback but the demo vids don't and i'm not finding out what is set up wrong to cause all the feedback on my mic . Its similar to a problem fl studio gets at times with microphone feedback.
Do you have to have a midi controller that is listed in the preference tab? I can't get my Korg to be recognized by Ableton Live 9, niether can I play sounds from Ableton. I've even purchased a midi in/out with USB and connected it to my audio interface. I can't successfully test these tutorials unless my keyboard is able to play sounds from Ableton. Please help.
when using my voice (i dont have a studio mic so i have to use my turtle beach one) it keeps this regular 110bpm cut, where the audio completely cuts out for a split second then goes back where it left off, but its really annoying. is it just my microphone, or something else?
I apologize in advance for the basic question, but when I try to play a chord on my keyboard, it only plays one note. Can someone help me out on this one? What do I do to make the entire chord heard?
thanks for this video. very helpful. the one thing i would say to people about this that wasnt covered is that if you arent getting the right sound from it just adjust the transpose knob in operator. this was essential to me getting the right sound,
Very Cool, funny though, He said "now this is where people get confused" i was already confused but trust that if your here, you know something about it already.
how can i get that vocoder (mic sound) from ableton live in windows? i mean if i want to speak that way in skype, it doesnt work =(, do i have to record everything? :(
It doesn't make sense. If you use an audio interface, this is almost impossible to follow, because he's playing without arming the audio track. It's like he's not using a secondary device and playing directly into a computer. I STILL haven't figured out how to work this shit.
