I'm also SSI, and fully appreciate where your coming from. Last year for me was a nightmare. Last February I was bedridden because of medication snafu. I lost half my hair and weighed 112 lbs.. I was a negative person and anxiety over my health and how I was going to pay for nursing broke me down completely. BUT I made the decision to be at peace with it and do the best I could with what I had. Gratitude meditations helped. I went from bedridden to Walker to walking by myself. I did this by meditating and being grateful for everything I could think of. My bills are paid and I never needed nursing because once the anxiety about my health lifted. I could day by day by myself get a hold of my issues. It's not about getting rich, it's only about getting a mastery of the anxiety of there's never going to be enough. My life is improving. My hair is growing back. Its no miracle. just understanding that I could either be miserable with anxiety or be happy with gratitude for I have at this moment. It's not as simple as making an affirmation or just faking it. It takes time and a commitment to love yourself just as you are right now. Then you can begin a new way of feeling about life. Money isn't always abundance. Sometimes feeling abundant is the reward.. we FEEL better. I'm off 9 medications and every day my anxiety about survival is better than the day before.

@@jenniferschaller3325 it was refreshing reading your post after what Ashley had written. Have you tried the affirmation videos to listen to at sleep? I began 12yrs ago with meditation, mindfulness,affirmations, etc and recently began listening to videos at sleep. Videos I listen to at night have filled in the missing piece which for me was 100% self acceptance. Being one that lived outside for handful of yrs it was difficult to hold on to peace. Society had taught me 98% of them can't tolerate one with different beliefs. I ran my body into multiple injuries drifting city to city seeking the one thing people were incapable of giving which was acceptance. I dislike Ashley's view on taking from those who have more. Focusing on lack of. At the moment I'm in poverty. Work in progress to align my conscious and subconscious raising my positive vibration. As for poverty, I've switched to appreciating the fact that all my Bill's are paid and I live in beautiful place that I can easily afford And that's true, so in a way I've tricked my mind into seeing myself as abundant just by appreciating what I already have. I had at least 10 teachers like that going through the public school system. I goofed around 10,000% more than I focused on anything in school and heard that message on nearly a daily basis. I can remember all of the different facial expressions they would use when they would tell me I was going to fail at life because I refuse to jump through hoops. They usually thought it was funny. My parents were teachers so when I wasn't hearing it at school I was hearing it at home. Now I grow and sell weed for a living and couldn't be happier :)
