The perfect name for this song by TAS. Chhinnamsta is a Hindu Mother goddess. "The self-decapitated nude goddess, usually standing or seated on a divine copulating couple, holds her own severed head in one hand, a scimitar in another. Three jets of blood spurt out of her bleeding neck and are drunk by her severed head and two attendants." 🤘🏻
"A hovering wasteland devoid of time. A cancer magnet breaking down reality. We are rotting hopelessly unaware of our nonexistence." That's some poetic shit my guy.
The Acacia Strain will go down as one of my all time favorite bands. They are the epitome of everything that i used to listen to, they encapsulate that era of my life. They are the last of a dying breed. And they will be the band that remains to my grave.
I'm not really into TAS but I really love how they put out their music. An album out of nowhere last year, wich was pretty different, and then A collection of two-singles Ep, out every month that will form another album at the end. They basically put out two albums in a short period of time, but the way they did it make it very digest
Good observation, “nothing feels forced”. I like that about the acacia strain, they don’t take themselves too seriously, it doesn’t feel like they’re “trying too hard” to be the heaviest baddest sound out there. No one-upping or contest, just legit pissed off nihilistic music.
@@godwings101 lol proof everything left says is what they are guilty of. You can't trigger me I research and keep an open mind. Why have rioters now killed 17 people do those lifes not matter? Or cnn got your brain melted
The first half of that "we are drowning in the lake" part is SUPER reminiscent of the "this is true crime" part in Carbomb. I love that. Kinda seems intentional.
I seen these guys live at the high grounds New Orleans 13 years ago and it’s still embedded in my head .. heavy heavy .. strobe lights and head banging .. was some crazy shit
Never really payed attention to this band, but damn son... I listened to the hills have eyes back when it came out, then that was it. This is amazing though. I've been a metalhead for a decade and I know so many bands so its hard to keep up with all these bands. I've been just bumping Archspire-- Relentless Mutation album and Northlane for the longest time. I am going to buy this album!
Saw these guys at either 1 of 2 concerts back in the day, I cant remember. Sounds of the Underground, OR, Ozzfest. Around 07/08. These guys put on a crazy show then, and still do.
I love all music, TAS has been my favorite metal band since I heard JFC in my friends car that had a sub in the trunk, listening to this on my speakers brought me back to that moment and made my eyes a little misty because it’s not only as good as that, it’s leaps and bounds ahead, if 16 year old me heard 2019-2020 acacia strain I’d shit my fuckin pants
Jesus is Dog : When the sun sees its final set, And we all choke our final breath. Underneath all the coughing and hacking; You will hear me, I will die LAUGHING!
Has anyone else noticed if you compare this version to the one on Spotify (really focus on the first few second when the instruments kick in at about 00:13) the Spotify version sounds like a low quality mp3 version of this one on RU-vid
I've seen plenty of venues enforce that. Security watches the crowd, if somebody starts a pit, they get kicked out. If somebody crowdsurfs, they get kicked out once they're over the barrier. Also, where'd you read that? about "No moshing or crowd surfing due to Covid-19"? Aren't all shows canceled?
@@PatrickHolensaber when shows are back, these will probably be the rules until a vaccine is discovered. Shit wont be the same for a loooong time. Welcome to "the new normal".
Sad reality is, people fucking watch these shows through their phones now, rather than enjoy the moment and music. Fuck those types of people! That'll never be me, Mosh and rock on! \m/
Has anyone noticed how eerily prescient Vincent is with his lyrics? "I can't fucking breathe" in this, weeks before the George Floyd incident. "Meet the new normal" in Names from the It Comes In Waves album back in late 2019 just before COVID-19 started to spread.
This is what I call TAS 2020 Was really a sadboi when coma witch and etc was what my dudes were dropping, as a real life long acacia fan it was a bummer I just couldn’t vibe it. There’s moments of this release that are kinda meh but I feel it, expression and shit. So glad to hear moments like this entire song coming from acacia 🙏🦅
on a serious note Chhinnamasta is the Hindu goddess of paradoxes. She is usually depicted self-decapitated, holding her head in one hand and a scimitar in the other.
Goddamnit, after listening to this I'm ready to go out and fuck some shit up!in all seriousness tho, watching the acacia strain live was the best metal show I've ever seen, and I've seen alot of metal bands. At that show, i saw an epic wall of death from TAS. They will always be my favorite metal band.
not saying its a bad thing, but getting some real meshugga vibes from the beginning part, but badass song. i truly enjoy it, feels really natural instead of forced with a bunch of extra parts
