Death Is The Only Mortal album is majorly overlooked. i suggest anyone and everyone go back and give that one a listen with good speakers, not just earbuds or bad laptop speakers etc. the guitar sound may not be ultra polished or technically brilliant but theres something about that record that feels physically unsettling and its a very nice time.

this damn song isnt even on it though, straight up been listening to these guys since 2006 and never heard this song until today. I love it, such a good album, but I will admit I didnt like it at first, now I have more favourite songs off it than other albums, it definitely grew on me

2010s Wormwood release was actually produced really well. Had a great equal production. I like that they are different than most genres. Granted the barking vocals aren't something that isn't over done, but these are in a sense clear. I'm a hairmetal/powermetal/melodic rock guy and I greatly enjoy The Acacia Strain and the way they write and produce.

I was front row when they came to Grand Rapids, Michigan lol I was on crutches so I got to sit on the stage and they didn't care. The singer was more than happy to get a pic with me too.He was just walking around before there show and no one knew it was him or something So I crutched over there fast and talked to him and got my pic with him. They actually care about the fans! None the less it was a SICK show. I had a little wall of people making sure I didn't get trampled. METAL 4 LIFE!

Vincent said this in response to that exact question: "We just wanted to do something to let people know we were still around. We also wanted to show everyone that we weren’t going to “change” or whatever just because we signed to a different record label. It’s already out there and all over the internet. A lot of people bought it, so why would we want to include it on the record? We would rather give ten fresh tracks for people to listen to than a bunch of new songs and one re-recorded one."

I respect your opinion man. I like The Acacia Strain, not based on their writing style or musicianship but because I love heavy music. You're right about the production, a lot of music is mostly fabrication and studio magic nowadays. Mostly with the bigger name bands. But that's just the way things progress.

JFC, Skynet, The Hills Have Eyes, Passing The Pencil Test, 4x4, Carbomb, Baby Buster, Balboa Towers, Cthulu, Dr. Doom, Forget-Me-Now, Kraken, See You Next Tuesday, The Combine, Whoa Shut it Down, and Angry Mob Justice are all fantastic songs by The Acacia Strain.

Saw these bastards in a tiny venue that didn't even have a stage during the Wormwood tour and at the end of the set Vincent said "alright let's hug it out", dropped the mic and proceeded to hug everyone in the crowd one by one. 100% True story.

Listen to Skynet several times with the lyrics. Pay close attention to the vocals and how the delivery of the vocals are given. Then listen to Jonestown, Bay of Pigs, then Terminated. After taking in some Wormwood songs listen to Continent and listen to the whole album and you'll start feeling like you want to tear shit it up. That's how I got into TAS. Been a fan since 2010.

Well for all you people who think they sound like Meshuggah now, the influence has been there since The Dead Walk. Just listen to the palm muted dischords, bends, and odd beat changes. If you've noticed this in Wormwood and this new track, I can solve the dead giveaway. They both are tuned down to F(either dropF or Fstandard if my mind serves me right). If any of you are a guitarist OR bassist, you'll know what I'm talking about.

That's what i said to my other guitar player when i heard that, the acacia strain is too good for this entire label, TAS should have there own label(Cough Cough Mushroomhead style lol) Thank god DL is back, and still on the 8 string! When TAS released Continent, They said Meshugga IS an influence for their sound. But also I have seen interviews and read where Vincent states that Emmure copied their sound, plus there was the whole thing about R2deerpthroat and Skynet.
