@@SaturdayShenanigansYTStanford and Cal and others would not be in a conference with Boise State or UNLV or Fresno State. Now San Diego State, the two PAC members in WazzU and OzzU and Air Force and either Wyoming or Utah State makes sense along with Memphis, Tulane, USF, UTSA, Army, Navy and a couple of SBC schools and UCONN all in for all sports make sense.
@michaelwall3393 UConn isn't doing that. They left a good G5 to put their basketball program back in the Big East. The ACC without FSU, Clemson and UNC is a G5.
Good until the very end. Love the Boise State respect but it's not going to be any of the teams you mentioned. They will go with Oregon State and Wazzu.
I'm an Oregon State student and I love my Beavs. But with our small TV market, we aren't going to be an attractive team to add. Plus, who knows where our major sports programs will be in 5-10 years (basketball and football). Things aren't looking great right now. Our baseball program will always be elite, but that doesn't make the big money. Boise State may fall under the same issue with TV market size, as that is a significant factor in realignment. Thanks for watching bro!!
@@SaturdayShenanigansYT there are no attractive teams left. Oregon State and Wazzu at least bring the Pac12 infrastructure. They also have larger fanbases than anyone else thats available. Those late night timeslots have some decent value as well. Being able to broadcast live sports from noon till midnight is actually a good sell from a broadcasting perspective for the ACC. OSU wont get left behind in the grand scheme. Wazzu is in more danger the longer this limbo lasts though.
I’m curious on your thoughts with NC State in all of this? They seem to be tied to the hip with UNC and are a rising program in both Football and Basketball.
I would love to see OSU and WSU, but the small TV markets may hold them back. And who knows how good the programs will be in 5-10 years. This is coming from an OSU student. Thanks for watching!
@@SaturdayShenanigansYT People want care about college football in about 3-4 years the next depression is coming! Wait till Disney/ Espn and fox runs out of dough all these confernce switching will have been for nothing!
@@SaturdayShenanigansYTwsu has about top 40 viewership. Oregon state struggles a little bit but is still above several big 12 teams. Much less g5 teams.
I would want I change conferences if I was in the same conference as cry baby state aswell. Poor acc teams, sucks they have to be in the same conference as Florida st
@@rancidity Ohio State had a better argument than Georgia did. And since you don't think wins and losses matter Oregon had a better argument than both Georgia and Ohio State.
My take of the ACC really needs something? Military academies. Promoting Army and Navy would be a great idea. They reside on the east coast already so they fit geographically, Navy already schedules Notre Dame. They both want to play SMU. And long term they will be happy to play nationwide as the conference expands. Having the Army Navy game be a marketable game within the conference is also worthwhile. Then we talk OSU/WSU, Memphis/Tulane/USF, San Diego/UNLV, and Tulsa/Rice in that order
The only reason I can see is the Army/Navy game. But I don't see how they realistically compete week in and week out. I'd much rather go west coast/GO5 first. I like your fresh perspective tho, thanks for watching.
@@SaturdayShenanigansYT I appreciate the reply! I don’t think this expansion is about “competing” so much as marketability and hopefully geographic fits. Army and Navy are simply more relevant than the value of the other options as time is going on. Looking at Navy in 2023, who went 5-7 in the AAC- the ND and Air Force games were comparable to a Power5 in tv viewers for OoC and the Army game is basically a second conference championship. That’s a lot more than Memphis or South Florida can bring to the table and they have viewership shares in the top 60 which lets them rival Washington State and Oregon State while not being geographically silly
theyre gonna be a combo big12/acc for 2nd tier football the rest drop and become acc/sec basketball only and pump all their rev share into basketball and become a mini nba
You have a growing platform yet you won’t use it to vouch for the beavs? Are you from here? Do you know how many beavs there are in Portland? Are you just a student or are you in Oregon State fan. We need you now more than ever.
They'll be competing with the Pac-(1)2 for any and all of those schools, especially now that the Pac is sitting on a nice fat war chest thanks to how well they performed in March Madness and unlike the ACC they aren't bound to a weak and extremely long term media rights deal.
Thats the thing why would any good MWC school choose ACC over P12. However OSU/WSU has made it clear they do not want the entire MWC so the ACC would be able to get the 2-4 schools left behind.
WSU and OSU have made it clear they want to rebuild the PAC, not join anyone else and since they basically got to keep the NCAA tournament payouts not only from their own teams but also from all the now former PAC-12 teams in the tournament to themselves they've got quite a bit of cash to throw around to G5 prospects.
@@SaturdayShenanigansYT the sec and big ten are clearly out to end them it’s the only thing that gives both the conferences a chance of regaining some of the ground against the sec and big ten
You know I've been saying this nicely and calmly to everything because I'm a huge Florida State fan which is the home of Florida State Seminoles I've been a huge fan of the steam and this team seems like Florida state is going to go to the Big ten conference as for the ACC is going to fall apart yeah I think they're going to fall apart but I have been saying that for years the ACC conference is dead it's no more the ACC conference is dead completely to me I will no longer Acc fan if my team goes to the Big ten I will be a big ten fan .? @George_Pickens
