It’s vintage Chanel ❤️ I shared it on my instagram but I found it in a little antique shop when I was living in NY for only $100 🙀 it has a matching skirt but both are too big and I’m too scared to get them tailored so I just drape the jacket over my shoulders lol
Dear Audrey would you mind making additional videos about how to wear scarves? It is an art and you wear them so nicely. Thank you for the link to your brand, I need to get some!
Yes pls. I have bought a silk scarf and I don't know how am I going to wear it. But I really do want to use it so badly. I just don't know how. It's 130cm by 130cm.
I find that I have to listen to Audrey's videos at least twice, because first time I usually almost drift away from the sound of her voice... second time I manage to actually listen to what she is saying ☺️
I'm always happy when people talk about wearing hats with brims, especially in summer, because I think that they are so much more effective than sunscreen at protecting my face from the sun. I wish they were more in style. A whole video on hats would be great!
They actually aren’t more effective than sunscreen. They are great in *addition* to sunscreen, but they shouldn’t be relied on for all of your sun protection, because of angles, brim size, etc.
I use hats with a wide brim that are labeled as being SPF50+ (from a company called Sunday Afternoons) and have found them to be MUCH more effective at protecting my skin than sunscreen. I have been wearing hats like this (with no sunscreen because all of it - including the mineral-only ones - severely irritate my facial skin) for 15 years now, anytime I am in the sun, and I am now 58 and my skin is in much better shape than that of virtually anyone that I know who is close to my age, including the avid sunscreen wearers. And my facial skin never ever gets burned and gets only very slightly darker in summer, despite my spending large amounts of time outdoors. But your experience may vary, especially if you are not wearing the kind of hats that I wear.
@@Future-zx9ts you’re right- hats aren’t enough bc UV rays reflect off of surfaces and can still burn you. It’s why you can actually spend time in the shade and still get burned so yes, sunblock ahoy! Hats are good! Hats + sunblock even better
What do you think of brooches? I always see the royals wearing them and I see them at department stores. Some of them are so beautiful and would love to add them to an outfit to add some sparkle in lieu of a necklace.
I can't imagine a single day in my life that a clutch would be appropriate except for attending a wedding! I'm so curious: Where do you go/what are you doing when you are using a clutch?
Yeah i do not understand clutches...i use a cane and thats already bad enough as it takes away a hand. I would never choose to have to carry something all day long! 😂
Personally, I think wearing a hat just requires you to be confident. People almost always are impressed when you wear a hat--I think they are just a bit in awe at your bravery. Just be brave and smile, you can do this- they will frame your face and call even more attention to its beauty.
@@tgardenchicken1780 I love hats too but always insecure that they will be blown off by breezes or winds...there's never a day where it's always still. I use beanies more than hats although I own several hats. Wish there is something i can do to overcome this.
@@Dandelion_flight I am going to try hat pins again. (Although I have cut most of my hair off now,) They sometimes work, but I always keep a free hand to grab quickly lol
The nuances of your content are a beautiful reflection of your personal style-- high-quality, elegant, and sophisticated . Your energy is so calming and inspiring!
Thank you Audrey, another wonderful video. Classic Style is always challenging from the media at the change of Seasons. Maybe you could do a video about the Fall trends we need to embrace and those we need to ignore. Have a fun week, and stay hydrated! 😎
What about jewellery? Personally, I can't live without wearing them and I have noticed you wear them a lot as well Audrey 😊 a pair of earrings always enhances my look in my opinion. If the outfit is too plain, I feel like I am more dressed up wearing jewellery and they pop in an outfit.
Thank you! I shared in on my instagram but it’s a vintage Chanel suit I found for $100 in a little antique shop in Brooklyn back when I was living in the city. It’s too big for me so I never wear it and I’m too scared to get it tailored and risk it being ruined so I wear the jacket over my shoulders ❤️
Love this video. What about a video on hat etiquette? (should you take off the beret and baseball cap when inside?- shopping? lunch? at a friend's home?) How to wear a scarf? I have loved scarves and hats for years, but in summer they seem so hot. In fall the hats fly off my head in the wind LOL. Scarves in my hair just creep down the back of my head and always having to 'fix' an accessory is not very chic to my mind. I must be doing something wrong. But I will be trying them all again as I have recently radically changed my hairstyle and it may open up new chances for my faves to come and shine again. (I love gloves too, dreamy sigh)
I love the smaller structured bags and the scarves. I was surprised you mentioned the baseball cap, it's a hat people really need to rediscover. I recently bought one in all black and I am so pleasantly surprised how it adds a unique touch, especially like you said, to dress down a blazer with style. I always wonder why no one ever mentions watches as important. For me the watch, a fragrance, and to some extent sunglasses, are essential accessories that make a lot of difference.
Audrey, you are very elegant in most cases. Today you surprised me with a baseball hat. After all the talk about clutches, fedoras, and scarves I discover your love for baseball hats. 😀
Yes, I wish I could see Audrey in a more casual style. I think that this green jacket in a more rock style, less structured one would look great on her. :) We will see maybe in time, Audrey's style will evolve this way!
I enjoyed this video and have admired your Sabrina Savage scarf several times. I went to their website, thinking they were so beautiful I might be tempted to drop a bit to own one. I almost fainted. Really, $300 to $1000 for a scarf????? I don't think so.
I am petite and have really short arms. I get very annoyed with shirt sleeves that hang past my wrists and touch my palms and hands. Is there any solution for this? I find most clothing is not made for petite women, and I am tired of rolling up my sleeves or pushing them up. I just want shirts that fit my arm length!
Lovely videos Audrey 🥰🤗😘🙌👏👏👏 I love hat’s too I like brimmed hat’s the only one that I think doesn’t suit me is a baseball cap they make my my face look too small but a trilby or fedora is great for me ! I loved the looks on you though! 🤗😘🥰🙌👏👏👏♥️ sending love and immense gratitude and respect from A Geordie from Newcastle living in North Wales 😘🙏🌍
I would def. add jewelry to the list of essentials. Love the mini bags but they are not always big enough for everything I need to carry-glasses, wallet, keys, sanitizer, water, etc.
Hi Audrey, I have always wanted to incorporate gloves like old times and also because I have such a long hands and arms but dont know how. Could you please make a video on it?
Thank-you for a great accessories video! Having fun rediscovering these categories... They can really perk up an otherwise plain outfit, and help create something that feels new/fresh
I wear hats daily when I am out. It protects my face from sun and for bad hair day (which is everyday). I now only use canvas totes as bags. They are inexpensive, can be embellished (I embroider), and double as grocery/shopping bags.
I've tried with hats so mamy times. But I look funny. And other people wearing them, too. I don't want that. Fedora makes funny almost everyone. It has that pompous look.
You should make a video on how to put on scarfs in diferent ways and give a tutorial on how to tie them 👏😌👀 that would be very useful.because I want to get into using bandanas and scarfs
How does one fit keys into a wallet? Just car/house/mailbox keys on a ring are bulky (never mind hubby’s car key, which I also use/carry). It’s a pain in the neck to add/remove keys, so I have to carry a small/medium purse at least.
Hi Audrey, I have to go to a function at the beginning of September. I really like the navy blue pants you’re wearing in the video. May I ask where you purchased those? Or could you recommend a nice pair of ladies dress pants that will last forever?
Very nicely explained-you have me adding a couple items to my “keep eye out for”. Would you kindly share details about the loop handle bag at 2:51? I’ve done a few searches & cannot match the style name/brand etc. Thank You
Love the way you put your clothes together! I would like to see more of how you'd style belts over blazers, sweaters, scarves, etc..........sweater weather is just around the corner!! Yaaaaaay!!!!
Such a lovely vid and clothes combination. Can you also do a hairstyle vid? Your hair has that natural wavy look. I don't think I could wear short mini skirts at my age but certainly looks appropriate on you.
Please make a video on the many different ways to wear or style or fold scarves. Also maybe a separate video on how to care for, store, clean, press, hang - fold - roll (?) scarves. Thank you. You are so elegant.
I love all the things you mention! Please do a beret video. I always find it difficult to 1. match berets to outfits and 2, match the beret color to the outfit. My beret is a light grey.
I love your style so much, so all for more videos 9n the topic. Personally if i have to choose one accessory i can't live without that will probably be scarves
