I created the accidental creation of a masterpiece under the genre artcore, dnb, jrock, jpop? in fl studio with the bbc orchestra, serum, labs drum kit, and more. Please let me know what you think! Follow my Instagram: / lyfemadethis
Really great stuff, my only suggestion would be to liven up the sound of the drums. Drum strikes don't all hit at the same velocity(volume) so make some of them quieter and some of them louder, to whatever the rhythm is. Especially the crashes, try using different crashes back to back so the listener doesn't hear that same sample. I truly think the only reason this didn't blow up more(still grats on 6k views!!) is because of that. I feel like if you were to make the drums sound more real and live, this would go BOOM!
First impressions they might be a bit loud as well but that may just be me (reference - single AirPod) Drums specifically in your mix that is That was sick tho!
Production wise the kick doesn't have enough high end so its dull, add more automation to the drum midi and change the velocities, play with the mix of the whole track because its muddy. other wise musically: chords, melodies, arrangement etc; really good Edit: read my reply Listening to it a 3rd time I don't think the drums are that bad and I think its the mix of the whole track that needs the work mostly. its heavy in Low frequencies and there are some resonances in the mid-highs
saturation or distortion on the kick would do the trick, KNOCK plugin is really nice. Listen to live drums/ popular dnb / even Jrock to get a feel for what you could to to the drums find something similar and use it as reference and produce it to sound as close as possible of course keeping the midi pattern you already have. (try to do it by ear from a reference, that's how you develop a way to make great sounding drums using midi)
so we have mf noobs that aint know how to make good shi plugging like 5 million views but this absolute master composition being glossed over? tf have we come to.
I feel the high-end could've been made a little *shinier* (if that maes sense). The kick in that drum track is sublime. The piano could've been EQ'd to make it sound livelier, and the bass could've been made to sound a little more rhythimic. But, arrangement-wise, you seem to have quite a good understanding! Nice work!
Sounds incredible Just one little thing, maybe take some bass of the kick/shorten the kick/sidechain the bass a bit bc the kick is really booming out of the mix here. I think with some slight adjustments it could sound a bit cleaner. But still incredible piece of music
really good, only thing I noticed was how much the crash stuck out something about the sound just didn't feel quite right but everything else was perfect
The mellow drum is nice. I like the bass as well, it really fills out the sound. The whole song has a fragile sort of sound. I was lowkey expecting a super heavy guitar section at 0:47 lol, since the sound peaked at that part, that would only work if it's mixed really cleanly though.
Pretty nice, the open hi-hats feel like they might happen a little too often for them to hit as hard, and the texture could be thicker in the chorus but aside from that, really really nice
It is the type of music that when I hear in an anime I think this anime has the potential. It is weird but I occasionally judge the anime depending on its music, lol.
