The acolyte reminds me of the old republic twin brothers and for that reason wish to see more for story is very much about the fall of the Jedi as a whole and the rise of the "rule of two" dark force user's
Master Sol was the character that interested me the most when it was announced, and I thought he was the best of the series, and one of my favorites that Disney has done with the franchise, Lee Jung-Jae had by far the best performance of the series, the character has several very interesting layers, and a well-done internal conflict, good scenes, good fights, etc., he will be missed, he was a great character
I second that! Sol is honestly one of my favourite Jedi characters for sure now! Lee did a brilliant job considering he only learned English for this role. ❤️
I felt the opposite. Seemed the less Jedi to me he was all over the place, an emotional mess. With attachments from the get go. Could care less he was killed. Happy he was because I only liked the dark side stuff that was happening.
All the theories on what "Kill a Jedi without a weapon" truly meant, the hidden meaning, and no one thought about force choke. I didn't see 1 theory that mentioned that. How did we miss it.
well because it's not something like a secret or crazy technique, we have seen a bunch of different people use it. I would be surprised if she had used the lighting or something like that, something known to be only available for those that are strong enough.
I see it as an idea, not just a single action. Palps didn't have to fight every jedi. A situation was set up to slowly destroy the jedi without a weapon. Slowly took power from the jedi, more senate control, sowing the seeds of doubt, rising dark side power "clouding everything"
@@chm985 but then why was him so focused on the literal action of killing Sol without a weapon? he even was surprised that "Mae" found a way when Osha told him about the vision. If it had been just the idea then directly killing him was just some extra step. They made it seem like force choking was something that couldn't be done normally, or that people didn't know it was possible. Even though he could erase memories, which honestly seems much more impressive.
The thing with Sol and killing the mother I think is one of the really good reasons why attachments are forbidden. He was very attached to Osha and thought that's who was there in that room. I think that attachment and fear of losing her to this dark side ritual as he sees it, led him to make that massive mistake.
He saw a person disintegrating a child into smoke lol even if you had no attachment to this child a jedi should absolutely act in that moment it’s ridiculous to think otherwise. It’s silly that he didn’t explain that to Osha but the show wanted you to believe he made a mistake so that was that.
It's not even about attachments. He already thinks the children are in danger, and then proceeds to see this lady turn into a fucking smoke demon, with one of the children (who he may think is Osha) start to also disintegrate. OFC he's gonna stab the mother, attachments or not.
@@regansimpson1930he saw someone who acted very calm and reasonable doing something to someone who was under her care and killed her without hesitation. It was a mistake. At the bare minimum he could’ve started with a warning
@@regansimpson1930 The person in question was also disintegrating into smoke and there was clearly some kind of emergency situation. Someone thinking clearly who is entrusted with a laser sword, legal authority and space magic wouldn't have reacted with immediate intention to kill.
I think one of Sol's biggest mistakes in this episode is that he never says sorry for what happened on Brendok. He always just says "I did the right thing" over and over instead of apologizing or even showing remorse for killing the twins' mother. Which is clearly not what Mae and Osha wanted to hear.
I think that's part of the point of Sol that seems to be overlooked by some (not necessarily you). He's ultimately prideful and arrogant. Righteous. He is NOT what the jedi are supposed to be, and this is why. I think perhaps at the very end as he's forgiving Osha for murdering him, he understands that "just doing what I felt was right" is not good enough.
@@hadoken95but he did the right thing the mother was literally turning herself and a child into smoke how could your first thought not be this is an aggressive act smh
@@randycropsey6131 No, I don't think so. Imagine if Yoda, Quigon, Windu or Obi-Wan were there instead of Sol, would they jump and attack Aniseya at once? Not at all. Jedi are meant to be peace keepers, not mess makers. Now see what sol did there. He made a quick dumb decision without premeditation and it caused a battle between them even though there were direct orders from the council not to get involved with the witches anymore. Not only that, even before that incident we have seen how Sol panicked on little bit of information without seeing the whole picture, several times. His patience was lacking.
When the “unknown planet” was first revealed some people immediately picked up that it could be Bal’demnic which matched the description and had cortosis ore and was used by Darth Plagueis
Don't forget the great achievement of bleeding a blade, when you something that experience force wielders like darh vader could'nt achieve for the first time and he knew what to do, Osha didn't...
If you want to see one actor nail multiple clones with various personalities, watch Orphan Black season 1. That was beyond impressive. You would forget they were the same actress.
Every time I saw the cast out of character in a panel or something, I'd be like "is Alison/Cosima/Helena not coming? Oh wait. They're all here already, right"
I felt sadness that she had to put in him just to desperately get another season…. Horrible writing for 90% of the characters, SURELY they will do justice with him………
@@Tokent555 I don't think most characters were bad. Osha and Mae really suffered from the starting mystery which prevented the audience from getting to know their motivations or background, which is most of character building. I think the show could've revealed more and earlier to give the audience time to connect with them. The characters were otherwise okay/great except for a few moments of hamfisted dialogue. It's not a perfect show, but I think if there is a season two it will have the potential to be a lot better.
Am I the only one who got a little choked up when Mae revealed to Osha that she ran to the tree that night, because that is where she knew Osha always went to feel safe?!?!?
I thought it was cool seeing what appeared to be Plagueis, but I feel they showed him in an awkward time. I think that a scene would have been more appropriate directly at the end panning away from Qimir and Osha looking over the water to see him observing them. Better cliff hanger imo.
100% agree with this, have him look down on them from on top the mountain or something or have the camera slowly follow the tunnels in the cave until you reach his lair and you find him sitting on his throne or something.
I think it’s because Leslye didn’t know if she would get a season 2 to explore Plagueis, so she showed him briefly to confirm his relationship to Qimir
How does he do it? Eric. how does he liked everything with the Star Wars name on. And genuinly so. I can barley touch Star wars with tweezers these days but he just loves everything thrown at him. a superpower if you ask me
@@tonyilias2561 Going to kindly disagree with that exaggerated negative description. I've seen all the bad/negative reactions before I watched The Acolyte so I've come in thinking it was going to be so bad but.. it wasn't really that bad?? It's not perfect but it has great moments and it's a missed opportunity to not allow it to have a season 2. It could have grown to be an even more interesting show but that's just me who shares Eric's positivity when it comes to a franchise I enjoy and love.
You guys are like the Star Wars safe haven. Just cozy, nice and star wars loving community / channel / reactions. No disgusting toxic hate. Just well articulated critique if one thinks there is something to critique. No hateful wishes against everything just because "Disney", "politics", "diversity" or whatever reasons so so many people just throw out there
Safe haven? You mean echo chamber? There’s certainly a ton to dislike about this show. There’s so many flaws with the show that outweighs the little good that’s there. To me this show is a disappointment especially in the case of screenwriting
@@Luke-cu7bf thats what I mean. You are a prime example. They like the show, they say why and what could've been different. End of story. Why are you trying to tell people what they should like or what they should dislike just because you personaly did not enjoy it. Don't run around and try to ruin the fun for others, it's childish and stupid.
I saw an interview with one of the Sprouse twins saying that there aren't a lot of opportunities for adult twin actors, that those parts almost always go to one actor doubling up. I feel this really could've used twin performers and the freedom it provides.
The show has really emphasized that they’re the same person, so I feel like using one actor makes more sense. I can’t imagine how much people would have complained if it was two different actors. 😂
The actor who does not not even speaking English managed to act better than main character of this series. They made 2 of them for Amandla and she managed to sucks at both roles
Disney CGI'd elves for the Snow Brown live action remake movie instead of actually casting real people with dwarfism. They could've used the work, spotlight, and money, but Disney just wanted to save money and don't actually care about that small minority of people. They preach DEI to try to score brownie points, but then don't care enough to put their money where their mouths are 😂
It seemed like Aaron didn't want to get excited in case it wasn't, but I don't really get that. Marvel did it with Quicksilver in WandaVision, but has Star Wars pulled a fake out like that before?
@@matthewcronin2325 same as the unknown planet where Plagueis resides and that planet having cortosis ore which Plagueis himself uses. Osha noticed the ore in Qimir's wall while he was fixing his helmet
Couple of points to clarify that were wondered by the panel - 1) Qimire did know about the twins power bc he says in an earlier episode when asked what he wants he says “the power of two” and 2) remember the show is called The Acolyte, not The Apprentice which means Osha isn’t an apprentice to Master Qimire, but an acolyte to Qimire who is the apprentice of Master Plageis.
Thanks to Eric, Rick, Calvin and Aaron! 🌑 Wookieepedia is listing that Muun in the shadows as being the first canonical depiction of 'Plagueis'. 🔸 And how wild to see a kyber crystal actually being bled?!
I'm fairly certain the sabers are dimmed during fight scenes is to prevent seizures for people who may have epilepsy. I have noticed similar things in other shows both live action and animated, at times when there are bright flashing colors, especially red and blue, there is often some dimming.
The one thing I liked about your review was that it was fair. The show had it's problems, but I really don't like all the hate for this show. I'm rewatching it again and it's definitely better on a second viewing.
I've commented elsewhere - the missing piece for me was Osha's training and departure from the Order. If we'd gotten more of that story, her motivations would be clearer. I think we should have gotten a more streamlined timeline and more emphasis on her journey. That would be my chief criticism of the narrative.
Yo I haven’t thought about that aspect but that makes so much sense to me. I wish they would’ve shown that too so we could connect to Osha more… Maybe we will see more of that in the future season.
The thing that feels off to me in all the disney stuff marvel or starwars, in both the programs I like and don't. Is I feel a weird time/episode count limitation based on boardroom choice vs creative decision which considering it's streaming not cable is odd.
I appreciate Aaron saying it's alright to not like the show, I'm not one to really give anyone issues with them liking this or anything for that matter so both sides saying you aren't a fan if you like or hate things is a nice change. While I'm not huge on The Acolyte I can respect people enjoying it, I mean I loved the fights.
@@streetridersss8360motherfucker the idea of creating life from the force would’ve existed for fucking decades, if not centuries, if not MILLENNIA. Osha and Mae merely confirm a theory. And lead to it making a lot of sense why he’d put so much work in to doing so.
@streetridersss8360 Stealer of ideas? Where did it say he copies them? Could easily be that he taught them, or used them as an experiment to see if it would work, possibly knowing there would be darkness in them. I don't know why all these toxic haters like to hate a show based on their own assumptions, when we don't even know the whole story yet. But present them with a bit of logic and they'll call it "cope". I guess we just can't have intelligent conversations anymore.
Personally I think Qimir is a canonized Darth Venamis, the secret apprentice of Darth Tenebrous. Plagueis is the official apprentice, so he likely has discovered Qimir's existence hence him checking it out and looking mighty angry.
@@matthewcronin2325I doubt he's old here, and if he is, writers didn't pay attention to the age of his species 😂. Then again they have a human who's over 80+ years old and looks barely 30 so trusting them to be coherent in writing is off the table.
I’m so checked out of Star Wars the past few years and haven’t watched anything since Obi Wan but I always come back to Blind Wave for Star Wars stuff specifically for Eric’s reactions because he’s so passionate and loves, lives, and breathes it and I love how emotional he gets! Makes me happy seeing fans loving what they love.
I definitely agree with Eric about how the Jedi doctrines that have been followed throughout the years has been enforced to reduce the amount of people turning to the dark side as much as possible. Unfortunately, it will never be a perfect system, but their goal has always been to teach force sensitives to control their emotions, because without the Jedi, people would be corrupted by the dark side far more often.
Vernestra doesnt know that her former padawan is a Sith. She could think he is just a fallen Jedi. The master that was training Mae. Im sure that what she tells Yoda as well. The only person who heard the word Sith is Seol. If there is a next season it could open up with the Jedi pursuing a fallen Jedi not a Sith.
Mae’s vendetta against the Jedi ended with the death of Sol. She doesn’t need to be trained by Qimir anymore. Osha needs to be trained by Qimir so she can learn to harness her anger, fear and desire to wield The Force without becoming a Sith.
Not going to lie i was quite surprised to see that Osha bleed Sol's lightsaber in her anger and even use Force Choke on him, he even seemed to have accepted it by the end. I was quite surprised how Sol was not repentant at all for killing Aneseya. It seems that hiding the secret for so long he started to rationalize excuses for his actions, like care for Osha or making sure the Jedi learned about the vergence. Great lightsaber sequence between Sol and Qmir. Despite everything Sol was still a very skilled fighter to be able to win against a darksider who defeated 7 Jedi. And Venestra was indeed Qmir's master. Also all her talk about how Sol was a good man who let a mistake fester and change him it was so obvious she was talking about herself and whatever happened with Qmir. She was even lying to the senate and i bet she won't tell the whole truth to Yoda. She is going to use the now without memory Mae to hunt for Qmir and maybe will even end up with the same fate as Sol. I think she will tell the truth about Sol, Indara, Torbin and Kelnacca but hide the part about her old padawan, let it be some unknown Force user that she needs to investigate. I get the feeling trying to kill Qmir wasn't something sanctioned by the Jedi Council before. And so the cycle of lies done by the Jedi keep going until they are fully trapped in the Sith's web. By the way I think Plagueis was spying on them. Wonder if looking for future prospects or checking a possible competition. Great episode and we need a season 2 of this now!😁
That's the thing. Senator Rayencourt isn't wrong, the Jedi *are* trying to control the uncontrollable. Venestra told a half-truth, as Sol did rationalise his actions through his love for Osha. Denying attachment flat-out is the flaw of Jedi code. Understanding duty *over* attachment is the key.

Plagueis being on that planet adds SO much context to the lore and what's been going on this entire season I'm happy he may finally be canonized with an APPEARANCE on screen, not just by name I definitely need to read the Legends book
@@Greenhawk4I wish it wasn’t though. He has zero relevance or respect here. He’s so irrelevant that I actually missed him when I was watching and looked away for a split second. And it changed nothing of the story. What a waste to have this be his first live action appearance.
@@MegaNinjaRyan why? If the light and the dark is colliding, he would be very interested in finding out more about it. To us the audience, he's just a fun cameo, but in the story he's absolutely relevant, just not right now.
I really like this panel discussion format right after an episode vs 20 channels doing the same breakdown video. Feels more organic and fun. I really like this season and really hope for a season 2. Live action Plagueis was so dope as well as fighting
I can see Sol's concern for the twins like a conservative Christian's concern for children raised by LGBTQ+ parents or white American settlers/parents taking children from Native American tribes/homes for education. There's a John Leguizamo film which just recently came out about that. Seeing some things out of context as Sol did, minus the love amongst the family which is shared, leads them down false concepts of evil or mistreatment. Sol means well, to protect them from harm, yet no harm is occurring. It's fear, it's always fear that innocents are being mistreated which ends causing them to overreach.
"But Aniseya turned into a smoke monster!!! Why didnt she just explain she was using Misty Step to get one kid away from the fight and rescue her other kid in danger from fire? Evil witches am I right?" And I'm like bruh, these Jedi broke into their home multiple times intent on taking away their kids from "danger" which was really just "customs I dont understand." How nice do you have to be to intruders? Even the Council told them to cut it out in a rare Jedi Council W. Not saying that Koril was right to escalate, or that I dont like Sol and co, but its the nosiness and arrogance that only the Jedi can do the Force right that gets me. I understand asking for kids from normal parents who cant teach them, but from parents and/or a community thats also Force-sensitive? That's a no from me dog. But that is a thing I like about this show. The Jedi are really trying to do right, but they're also just people, and people screw up. Sometimes terribly.
This barely has anything to do with this show or video really, but at 26:21 they discuss what the most convincing execution of a single actor playing twins is. My answer is definitely in the movie The Social Network in which (known terrible person) Armie Hammer plays the Winklevoss twins. There are apparently countless examples of people watching that movie and having no idea that they didn't use twin actors, mostly thanks to the film's flawless use of VFX to merge the actor's performances into a single shot. It never feels like they're shooting around the fact that only one of them can be on screen at once, which is a problem I notice in just about every other execution of the trick, including in The Acolyte.
I really did enjoy the show, and I think there are valid criticisms, but the hate from the lunatic internet warriors was very unjustified. One criticism I had was Osha & Mae being the focus of the story. I know they’re kinda central to it, but I think it just did more of a disservice due to Amandla’s acting. No hate to her at all, but I think even Dove Cameron playing Liv & Maddie on Disney had way better chemistry playing 2 twins. Again, I don’t just despise the existence of Osha & Mae, I just think they were the weakest part of the show. Every other character brought so much to the table and really brought me into the series.
Sol's actor's choices were questionable to me but I think he was conscious of what he was doing, but I felt Sol was off and unJedi like from the get go. Qmir's actor was the only one I thought was strong. The black mother of the twins and Carrie Ann Moss were the only ones who seemed capable under the direction. (They could be decent actors but need more interactive direction). I did think the Osha/Mae actress for a lead needed more ability but she was 100x better than the child sisters. I don't need a sequel but if there is they need to hire an acting coach for the actress if she is going to continue and for the green bald-headed Jedi. They seem to be the ones to continue and then need to step up their acting chops and this could be a whole different show.
@@jennym2276 The actor did his best with the material he was given despite not even speaking English. He managed to act better than main character of this series. They made 2 of them for and Amandla managed to sucks at both roles.
Jung-Jae Lee (Sol) is a good actor, I don’t think all his choices regarding how much emotion to show etc was his own, a lot of it probably came from the director. Stunt coordinators were the only ones who impressed imo, fight scenes was the only really good part. Acting, directing and script all left a lot to be desired
The second I heard David Harewood’s voice I was so pumped, what a waste they didn’t have him pop in throughout the season as a bigger plot point instead of off hand mentions that he is inquiring about the Jedi and two scenes
I really enjoyed the climatic lightsaber fight in this episode! I think it ended up landing in my top 5 lightsaber fights in all of Star Wars. It was awesome! 👏🏽✨️🔥
Yes, thank you. Sol was my favorite character and I wish this had been said. His intentions were good, he clearly regretted his decision. Bad communication on both parties. People over simplify this nuance with Sol.
@@dmiradakis I hate when writers conveniently don’t have people communicate so that there is miscommunication which leads to drama which leads to an easy way for a writer to get from point A to B. In any case, the problem is with both Osha and Mae who are not just terrible characters but terrible people. Like…truly awful people. Especially Mae. To switch clothing with her sister and leave her on a planet with a guy who’s hunting you down is just wrong. It seems that’s all Mae did: run away from her problems…the problems she always created. Whether it’s lying or starting a fire or murder or whatever. Whenever she has to be held accountable, she runs away. Truly awe full people!!
@@pduidesign yep, she was the worst character and Osha was the 2nd worst. I realized I liked the show in the earlier episodes so much because of all the side characters, they totally failed to make me care for the protagonists.
@@pduidesign that's not the point. He could have explained himself, maybe. But for the first time in 16 years he finally took accountability for the life he stole. But sure it's a plot hole or bad writing or whatever
he didnt say that though. he said he thought their lives were in danger just based on the fact that they were created by the force. he thinks someone capable of doing that shouldnt exist, so he kills her. even though thats not his derogative
@@a3-radio she literally does find the light earlier in the episode by choosing not to kill Sol and instead wanting him to see justice by facing the republic/ senate.
@@thewerewolff7248 and yet it's perfectly okay with her sister killing sol, going to the dark and continue the journey and willingly having her memories erased. I personally don't like the move, but then again i hate memory erased stuff in general so it was a hard sell for me from the get go xD
So I guess his tragedy was that he was in acolyte. I guarantee you if they ended this season with a rogue one style ending where plagueis shows up pissed that qimir is provoking the Jedi and he kills him and osha they would get a season 2
I hate that this show gaslights people into thinking the Jedi is just outright evil. Kidnapping kids, covering up murder, framing their own people. Just tearing down this force for good because haha contrarian!
Really loved this series. It definitely had some issues that were valid to complain about- the pacing in the first 4 episodes had some really abrupt scene ends that did not work at all, they needed a few more seconds minimum to breath after dialogue scenes where we got a reaction shot of characters or something. And there was some rough dialogue here or there. People online tried to act like this show broke canon and the showrunner didn't understand Star Wars or the lore, but they shut up real fast with the deep cuts she put in like Cortosis, Mad Claw, and the subtle worldbuilding of everyone's Lightsabers being slightly thicker and longer because the tech isn't as advanced yet. But it really does not deserve the 14% that it got review bombed down to. It's like a. 73% for the first 3 episodes, and then a consistent 80% for the rest of the show. With 5 and 8 easily hitting 85% imo.
I personally enjoyed this show quite a lot. The fights were great, the set design was standard good Star Wars, Sol and Qimir were my favourites. I did have some problems however, mainly Mae and Osha (I agree with Rick about the chemistry between them feeling weird, no problem with the actress at all). My main complaint is that we need longer and/or more episodes for future projects. I enjoyed this show, but 8 episodes for everything they were trying to cover was not enough, which led to some parts not landing as well with me (more episodes = more time to develop weaker parts e.g. Mae feels less flip-floppy). Overall, 7/10 perfectly reasonable for this kind of show (not everything needs to be perfect). Episode 5 was my favourite episode, easily a 9\10. Loved you guys’ reactions, looking forward to what’s next 😊

Especially since he probably just killed Tenebrous. I would guess that planet is Bal'demnic given Qimir's cave has cortosis in the walls. Unless he was already following/knows Qimir it explains why he's on the planet.
A callback paraphrase of a classic quote was QImir goading Mae to complete her journey in killing the four Jedi that killed her family, like how the Emperor tried to push Luke and Snoke to Kylo Ren
Three good things that came out of this: Lee Jung-jae is a good actor, as is Manny Jacinto, and the fight choreography was top notch. The actors put in the work, and it showed.
Darth Bane was the only Sith that strictly followed the Rule of Two. Master, Apprentice plus acolytes, alchemists and assassins that work under the Apprentice. The Inquisitors were Vader's Acolytes.
Well if you want to get technical, the rule of two didn’t even matter at the point that the inquistors were started. The entire rule of two end game is what Sidious already accomplished. Destroying the Jedi and galactic dominance.
And obviously Aaron and Eric know that, so I think they just didn't mention it to not spoil that moment. Rick probably won't ever play Survivor but Calvin might.
Most important aspects of this chapter: 1).Darth Plagueis (Appearance) 2.)Osha and her surrender to the dark side 3). The crystal contained in the lightsaber and the feelings 4). The dark side gains strength...
This show was a bit hit or miss for me, but the action has been consistently fantastic throughout, and it's gotten stronger overall as the episodes have progressed. I hope there is a second season.
When we see the being in the cave, wasn't that the same music being played when Sideous told the story of Darth Plagueis to Anakin? Pretty sure it's him.
What I want to know the most is what the significance of Kylo Ren's theme? It's used like four times in this season, one of them being during the fight with Kelnacca in Episode 7 This is a good reason why season 2 needs to be greenlit
@@befano691 oh yes there does look at how many threads are left to resolve it's obvious how Plagueis fits into all this (if that really was him in that cave); how the fates of Qimir and Osha are decided; what happens to Mae and how much the Jedi really knew about the festering darkness laying unopposed Headland specifically did this to create more stories and mysteries if Disney says yes to another season If you don't want it, just don't watch it Simple solution
I think because it appears that Qimir and Kylo have similar story arcs regarding their teachers sensing the darkness in them but reacting with overkill that actually does send both of the then young boys over the edge and into the dark abyss.
The addition of Darth Plagueis is intriguing. We all know the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise. What could he do? He could use the midichlorians to create life. What happened to Osha and Mae? They were created from the force. We could be seeing the start of this tragedy and how Plagueis learned to use the force to create life -- by studying Osha.
Hearing Koril's voice in that psychometry from Vernestra reminds us of the fact that she's still out there somewhere, either pulling the strings in her own way in this story or she may have found another coven on... Dathomir? Hellbent on revenge? Maybe she's how the Nightsisters are brought into the fold
Tbh i really enjoyed amandla's acting, especially the microexpressions and the scenes of mae vs osha interacting with other characters, the different way they both interact with qimir especially i think. The self-interactions are definitely the weakest part but i was still surprised by how hard the "I'll find you" hit me.
Venestra IS technically already involved because it was her former padawan that trained Mae. indirectly, but now shes the one not willing to face the fact she most likely made a huge mistake
I think the goal of the show is to explain how Anakin was created. Mae and Osha were created, Osha joins the Dark Side and Plaguis gains the knowledge to create life from the force and Palpatine takes the knowledge kills his master and impregnates Shmi.
Yeah its to show that Anakin is not chosen, he was a failed experiment of Plagueis trying to replicate the perfection the witches created with Osha and Mae, Skywalkers being special was the cover up this show exposed, and the Jedi is actually the real bad guys of Star Wars. Best series ever created.
If Qimir is with Plagueis I find it odd how he lets him just go and kill Jedi like that. He never let his apprentices show themselves like that. I really, really hope they do him and Palpatine justice next season, cause we know damn well we're getting it.
It seems like the show probably wont get a season 2, but the way this show ended looked as if the writers were 100% expecting a season 2 and maybe even season 3
Yeah, the fact that it hasn't been announced yet is very telling. Hell, Mr. Robot isn't a disney property and I remember that got renewed for a 2nd season before the 1st even dropped.
