Disney did a great job this time. The action scene was amazing! Jedi knights can fight without lightsabers because they can use the Force. The Force is a form of super power kung fu, the most powerful martial art in the Star Wars universe.😂

George never intended the Jedi to be portrayed this way. They were very much influenced by Samurai warriors, and an homage to the Kurosawa films that George loved. They are supposed to be calm and collected, only using their weapons to defend, never to attack (in the words of Yoda). Hand to hand is much more visceral. It goes against what the Jedi are supposed to be all about. I also don't understand how the force is supposed to make you a better martial artist, especially in a universe with all types of highly advanced warriors (mandalorians, wookies, Bothans, etc.)... why make the Jedi fight this way? But I expect nothing less from a feminazi who has openly admitted to hating George and his legacy. This show is going to fail.

@@stevebowen6071 Did you watch the 2003 Clone Wars cartoon? Hand to hand Jedi combat and excessive Force Powers were all the rage in that show. And if you haven't noticed, The Acolyte's Jedi don't traditionally use their lightsabers from the start.

@@benwasserman8223 That wasn't "cannon". That was a whacky and fun spin-off done by Genndy Tartakovsky. I think it's great when creative animators can add their own spin to the star wars universe and play around with alternative timelines. Star Wars visions has some of the coolest stuff I've seen. However, this show is supposed to exist in the universe that George made, therefore, I think it does need to abide by and honor the world that George created, and the Jedi are a fundamental part of that. Anything Dave Filoni has done has certainly respected that. It's clear he didn't have much creative sway over this shit.

Reva's character was poorly written, and the actress was poorly directed.....or she doesn't have good acting range. The production of Obi-Wan was terrible excepting Ewan and Hayden who obviously put in their best efforts.

She uses her lightsaber in this scene. You see it in the other trailers. Also, all her serenity and mastery won’t help her survive the encounter

Mae would eventually force push Indara into a wall and immediately after that she would force the Jedi master to ignite her saber to defend herself against her flying daggers as seen in the trailers. Then she'll die. If you don't believe us just wait till the show comes out

It’s in The other trailer… her lightsaber on the ground with the assassin woman walking away… plus the poster with blood smear and lightsaber is hers again… she definitely dies and probably episode 1

They made the scene look darker and they also removed master indaras body from the footage shown at the start of the official trailer to try and throw us off but they spoiled their own show since there was another TV spot I saw with the same exact scene but with her body there and the proper lighting 😢

@@Chad123x where do you see any hair in the clip? its literally the same place where indara and mae fought and you can see mae use the force to grab the dagger that was thrown to the floor before. you also clearly see her walking away from indara's saber

@@benwasserman8223 i believe that "The message" would be overusage of the theme about strong female characters fighting evil patriarchal systems. I'm not againt strong female heroes, but it just feels lile hollywood keeps exploiting this theme so much in order to get quick cash, that it doesnt focus on actual good stories for their films and series.

@@hermesonjunior2105 Ok well what makes the Force patriarchal here? Because we just saw two women equally kick ass with the Force. And Mae got her ass handed by Sol in the other clip. So the theme is more along the lines of “Do the Jedi have a monopoly on the Force?” Which is similar to what Luke explained to Rey in TLJA.

@@benwasserman8223 and it also feels like they are now trying to mix the politics of our world with the films in order to make others think like them. It kinda ruins the escapism of which the movies were made for.

@@benwasserman8223 the theme about "the jedi having a monopoly of the force" may be what is happening, since it may be the period where jedi starts mingling with politicians. But i'm worried about how the theme will be delivered.
