Mae got her mother's words wrong. It's understandable. She's eight. But yeah, Aniseya said ascension meant they had to walk through fear and that leading the coven meant sacrificing a part of yourself to the community

ah, I see now why qimir could read so much darkness in sol. by darkness i mean the SW definition of it - attachment that can easily sharpen into obsession, especially when one rationalizes it by conflating with having "noble intentions". also, mother aniseya's words are of course very prescient: this attachment (bordering on ownership - we have the "right" to test children even when theyre too old per the jedi code if they are interesting enough or we are interested in them enough) to prophecies and force vergences really did result in the destruction of the Jedi in the prequels.

Acolyte all-flashback episode 7 was very good. I liked the references to the hyperspace catastrophe that wiped out life on some planets; of which in the last episode Jedi master Vernestra has pain/nausea from traveling through hyperspace due to her strong connection to the force. The fact that Sol was an emotional Jedi like Dooku, Anakin and Quigon Jinn was seen in quite a big way. The turn of the plot, who is responsible for the death of the entire Clan of these Witches who follow the path of Bogan = Darkness in magic, they were quite similar to the Witches of the Sisterhood of the Night from Dathomir, where Darth Maul also comes from. The fights were great, the choreography was great and seeing two Jedi fight against a possessed Wookie Jedi was great. But most of all, normally, just like Mother Cora, I felt this emotional pain in my heart. When Sol killed her partner, co-mother of two children and the love of her life, mother Aniseya, in front of her eyes. The destruction reminded me of something similar to when the Jedi destroyed the entire planet of Korriban, where the original Sith race came from.

This was a great episode. But imagine holding that burden of the past for 16 years. It makes so much more sense now why Aniseya is separate from the Witches. I didn’t expect Sol to kill Aniseya. I still believe now that Koril is in league with Qimir and they made a deal to fight Jedi. Qimir says he wants “the power of two” does that mean the twins or another apprentice? How does Qimir know the Power of two? If he wasn’t in league with the witches (Koril)
@ThunderBZaper

I believe when he says “the power of two” he is referencing the Rule of 2 of the Sith. We don’t know for sure if Qimir is a lone Sith or has a Sith master yet, but I do believe since Koril doesn’t have a clear end, especially since we didn’t physically see her die, I believe she might show up in the finale. Qimir knows how to get into people’s minds just like the witches do, and Qimir showed up nowhere in this episode, so he might secretly be in league with Mother Koril who taught him her majiks, and in return he kills Jedi who discover his true identity and anyone Mother Koril asks him to target. I just hope Mae reveals how she survived in the finale cause that’s like the last question I have before the show is done

Those Brendoc Witches were anything BUT "Innocent". Sometimes a Individual or group can be doing questionable things, hold beliefs or ways that are not *Good* at all but in their own skewed world view, and their OWN mind don't actually see their ways and beliefs as Bad or "Evil". Just look at Aleister Crowley, himself dealt in Dark Magic, opening himself up to Demonic entities, feeding satanic ideology and ways into his mind, Crowley's own motto was - "Do as Thou Wilt". The Witches of Brendoc are very much like Pagan Witches we have in the real world. They engage in "Moon Worship", you see them doing their chants and dances under the moon, during a eclipse. I have watched a Pagan woman's review of episode 3 of this show and I asked her questions about this and she told me, what the witches do in that ceremony is examples of pagan ceremonies and traditions. She told me Paganism comes from the Ancient Civilizations of the Incas and even Egyptians, who also carried out and believed in Moon Worship, they idolized the moon which they considered to be a Deity of "Fertility". And look at Mother Aniesia, as she and her coven all look possessed, carrying out their weird dances and chants, all exactly what actual *Pagans* do in real life, dancing in the moon light and even channelling their energies to the Moon, i.e. - "Moon Worship". They also carry out dark magics, Mother Aniesia behaves like a abuser, running her hands around Torbin, she gets him on his own in that scene, and even invades his Mind! I remember when TFA came out how many fans, women especially pointed out what Kylo Ren was doing during his interogtation of Rey, they said he literally - "Mind Raped" Rey, invading her mind and inner most, personal thoughts. Yet here were are, Mother Aniesia, one leader and Materiarch of this very Witch Coven doing EXACTLY THE SAME to the young padwan Torbin, invading his mind, playing on his weakness and feeling homesick; this is soo NOT "Innocent" behavior; infact it can be argued here that it is actually Mother Aniesia who is kind of to blame for these whole events by the way inwhich she mind rapes Torbin; that cause these whole tragic, messed up and confused events to unfold. Also WHY on earth did Mother Aniesia just tell Sol that she granted permission for Osha to go with them IN THE FIRST PLACE!?!!? This is what EVERYONE else out there are asking and saying. That's NOT "hating" that's just asking straight forward, logical questions. Another thing about Mother Aniesia, she tries to "turn into the force" but does so in this weird way, where she becomes a BLACK MIST. What exactly is *Good* about that, looks more aligned with the DARKSIDE of the Force. When the century later Jedi become one with the force, they have a Blue aura as force ghosts because they are entirely aligned with the lightside. All mother aniesia had to do was just tell Sol that from the start, instead of allowing the whole situation to escalate further the way it did.

It seems to me as though showrunner Leslie Headland was trying so hard to paint BOTH sides as incredibly flawed, and create this whole very GREY area of everything, which she has even stated a few times in the recent interviews she's given. Okay, fair enough but that in of itself still flies in the face of what the o.g. Creator George Lucas has always maintained is the essence of what *Star Wars* is about - "GOOD vs EVIL" and Good triumphing over Evil, the Lightside or "Jedi" defeating the Darkside= the "Sith". Here what the witches of Brendoc are doing is a perversion of the Force, manipulating the midiclorians in a selfish manner to "Create life"; and NOT just any life/beings but Only FEMALE life as evidenced by their own Coven of Alien and Human beings, ALL FEMALE lol. This is a selfish trait, which aligns purely with the Sith, only Sith aim to Control the force itself, use it, and bend it to their will. It seems Leslie Headland does not understand starwars LORE. And/or the lorekeeper of the "Lucasfilm Storygroup" that she worked closely with, one - "Pablo Hidalgo" just told her it's okay for her to just simply ignore aspects of the Lore; and just do whatever she wants, to create EXACTLY the specific Story she wants to tell, which really comes off as purely a *Fan Fiction* than a actual consistent story. Because in starwars lore, there was a Sith Master, Palpatine's master to be precise known as - "Darth Plagueis" and he tampered with the Force, trying to manipulate the midiclorians to attain "Immortality" he played God, and carried out a series of really messed up, inhumane, immoral and cruel Experiments on beings, trying to achieve his goal of making himself Immortal. This all backfired spectacularly on Plagueis when the *Force* itself pushed back against his efforts, of doing unnatural things messing with the actual Midiclorians, trying to convert them into "maxiclorians" and so the Force hit back and actually created a "Immaculate Conception" of a Being that would bring about BALANCE to the force. This was in the form of Shmi Skywalker having a sort of "Virgin Mary Bith" with Anakin. Now I mention this because here, the Brendoc Witches, Mother Aneisia and is it Koril the other Witch partner of her's, looked to be doing something similar, and it also backfired on them in a different profound way. Through the Dyad twins of Osha & Mae. One seemingly of goodness, and the other having a sort of psychotic tendency. Now you can argue and say, well this is just these witche's way of doing things, it's certainly DIFFERENT, and so no one on the outside understands it. Yet, that still doesn't make it RIGHT or GOOD! If one were meant to purely create life alone, from the force itself through ritual, practicing of magic etc, and NOT through natural "procreation" between a Man & Woman, then the force would allow ALL force sensitive beings across the galaxy to do what the Brendoc witches did; BUT THAT DOESNT HAPPEN. Sure, the Brendoc witches seem victimized, hunted as they say across the galaxy for their beliefs and (dodgy) practices, to where they've ended up hiding out on that planet. But yet, IF what they did was GOOD or just "Natural" they wouldn't be hunted in the first place, they wouldn't have recieved such push back. So what they did in creating the twins is simply a Perversion of the force. This "pulling of the thread" as they refer to it. A *Jedi* or atleast a proper JEDI from George Lucas *Star Wars* is purely affiliated with the LIGHTSIDE of the force. There is NO GRAY aspect. The Jedi learn to walk hand-in-hand as it were with the Force, they NEVER seek to dominate the force, but go side-by-side with the Force. They have a darkness in them, which they learn to accept, but NEVER allow to consume and control them. Go and look at the George Lucas animated Clone Wars series, in one episode where Yoda is learning how to enable his conscious to live on after his physical body reaches it's end (i.e. attain force ghost ability), he encounters a dark version of himself, a sort of "dark spirit Yoda", and Yoda faces this dark-passenger in front of him, and Yoda specifically says - "Part of me you are, yes. But Power over me you have not." Because Yoda is purely of the *Lightside* of the Force and the Force is his "Ally". It's NOT something he selfishly seeks to control and use for his own selfish means. But Leslie Headland is right about one thing, these particular "Jedi" in this Acolyte series, are NOT the *Jedi* of George Lucas's Prequels; they act and behave nothing like TRUE *Jedi*.
@RaikenXion
@RaikenXion 13 дней назад
Another thing I notice you take from this show, where the writing is in such a way where everything is the MALE Character's fault. Sol being written in the weird way he is, selfishly wanting his own Padawan. How you make out Torbin's actions are to blame for everything that pretty much transpires. But yet YOU fail to mention just how incompetent and irresponsible Jedi Master Indara is here. She reprimands her padawan Torbin, but never checks to see how his mental state is after Mother Aniesia pulling that dodgy "Mind Rape" trick she did on him; which is really a form of assault on a "minor" if you want to get into "Real World" view here. And then after when Torbin got clawed up by the possessed Kelnacca attacking him, they're back on the ship and again, Indara never even bothers to check and tend to her Padwan Torbin's horrific injuries. What exactly does this say about "Women In Roles of Leadership" in this series, both Indara leading her team of Jedi on Brendoc, and Mother Aniesia and her whole messy handling of the entire situation that unfolded!? Oh but Torbin is a "Male Character" so his own feelings do not matter, because this is essentially a "Female-Centric" show, written by mostly female writers and their own point of view huh. Which tells us alot. You also describe the team of Jedi here when they basically go into the Brendoc Witche's home as referencing "Social Workers" in Our own REAL WORLD. Yet whats interesting here is alot of "Social workers" in the real world are "Women", who make such brash, bad decisions that often don't help the victims and people they're supposed to be protecting and helping. So maybe "Jedi Master Indara" is actually a commentary on that too, considering her whole handling of everything here was also BAD. Look at how it is Master Indara who decides to outright LIE to the girl OSHA, about WHO Killed her Mother, Sol!? Which eventually comes back to bite Indara. As a supposed master Jedi, I find it odd master Indara over the 7 months they had been on that planet, never once Sensed the presseance of the Brendoc Witches on the planet! lol Seriously bad writing there. Lastly I argue that the twin girls Osha & Mae, their whole Witch coven were in danger, due to the darkside they were leaning toward in their very secular beliefs and practices; because they had made themselves open to that "Eye of Sauron" of the SITH in general; who are around during this time, lurking in the shadows. It's alot like Mormons and other cultish groups that segregate themselves from wide Society overall, and have their Own beliefs, and elect their own leaders to "Govern" over them. When one single person is given such large amount of power and influence over a group, they often get corrupted by that power, and end up abusing it and those around them. Look at the stories of these Mormon communities, where it's turned out the leader (always a Man), has ended up abusing the women, or girls in that community, having multiple wives, even keeping them as slaves in many cases; then homeland security and/or the FBI have investigated, came in and the whole Mormon community gets broken up. I never trust any Group or "Community" that break off from the wider society and desire to have their OWN ways, rules to suit only them. Because that is where corruption and perversion always eventually fester. It's just when like Qimir says to Sol when he asks him what does he want, and Qimir says - "I want the Freedom to wield my Power the way I choose." And he is a Sith, or atleast the "Acolyte" of a Sith Master. It's impossible to sympathize with Qimir in any kind of light, this is a guy who Force Chokes people, and even killed the Jedi Padwan Jecki, who bravely fought him, he stabbed her not once but THREE times, and then when Sol screams her name; afterward Qimir just says - "Was that it's name?" Seriously cold, yet the following week, we find alot of Women and Female fans who getting moist over a naked (from the waist up) "Only Fans Qimir" bathing in the ocean. All these deluded Women, totally forgotten all about the cold, callous EVIL acts Qimir did in the previous episode, killing all those Jedi, including Kelanca and the young Jecki. This is some seriously messed up morals certain people have here. Honestly if you can sympathize with Qimir you're truly not right in the head. We even have the showrunner herself Leslie Headland gushing in the Mary Sue interview, saying how beautiful it was that Qimir had basically kidnapped Osha, taking her to his cave lair on some unknown planet, and he's Cooking for her; oh that's soo sweet, sexy even lol. This is just allkinds of weird that's what it is. She even mentions when he's bathing, saying how he's "vulnerable" to Osha lol, with his muscular toned body lol. Yet Leslie and other's seem so drunk on this "50 shades" Fantasy they have, forgetting that Qimir is a seriously dangerous, highly skilled and powerful Individual, who IF he truly wanted, could use that massive Force pull ability, and grab his red lightsaber from Osha at any single time if he wanted; he is just obviously manipulating her; which is what a Sith does. Sexually seducing her to come over to the darkside. And all these young women or in Leslie's case, women in their 40s, are just going along with this Fantasy in their messed up deluded heads, because the whole slow-burn - "Will they/won't they?" BS gets them off. 😂😂 Now I can see why so many Women out there fall for all these selfish, bigotted "Bad Boys" and get knocked up by them, and ALWAYS eventually end up as single mothers to them. The hypocrsy is that they fall for all these manipulative "bad boys" who always eventually end up leaving them, and/or control, gaslight and treat them like sh*t. Then those same women once they hit the wall, end up using the "nice guys" for their money and financial security to raise their kids. Modern society is just so messed up, it's totally upside down today. "Traditional Values" are seen as old and "patriarchy" and the Intersectional Feminists have twisted it all on it's head. This is actually what's going on in the Starwars franchise right now today, Disney and Kathleen Kennedy who runs Lucasfilm, is trying ever so hard to pull *Starwars* away from the core of what it's always been originally. Just a simple story about Good vs Evil and the mystic of *The Force* and Mythology. She keeps blaming us male fans, saying it's so hard to make starwars movies and tv shows because the Starwars Fandom is so very "Male Dominated" lol. I mean what is that meant to mean anyway?? That there's simply more of us Male fans in number than there is girls? Or does she mean that all us "male fans" are horrible "ists" who won't allow all these women at Lucasfilm tell the stories they want? If it's reason number 1, can't blame us if just more boys out there luv starwars than girs. And if it's reason no.2 Maybe Kathy Kennedy shouldn't have put Dave Filoni in charge as "Chief Creative" at Lucasfilm then lol.

Ah, Maybe Mae and Osha were using the Force (bridge fall) and Sol could not get through their combined (power of 2? , like a Force bubble (Iike Torbin) they created, so he could not break in), he was not strong enough to save both so he picked/concentrated on Osha. (Just wondering if that is a thing.) Indara overcame the Power of many, they passed out (and probably died in explosion rather) than killed by Indara.

@TheOnlyRedsFan
@TheOnlyRedsFan 16 дней назад
@crimsonghoul8983 there was a group of raiders called the Nihil that carried out their activities using unconventional hyperspace routes. One of their ships collided with a vessel carrying about 10,000 passengers and send debris at lightspeed throughout the galaxy. Some debris was prevented from colliding with planets and ships but some hit other worlds and damaged them severely.

The placement of this episode was in the wrong spot. This should of been the fourth episode. Because this feels like a Rerun of episode 3 in its place as the 7th episode. Now going into the Final episode, there still needs a lot of loose ends to be tied off. The Final episode needs to be at least 1 hour to fully complete this story. If the Final episode is around 25-30 min, I don't think the story would be complete. The way that this show is, I don't see a Green Light to be approved for a Season 2.

In all fairness you could call him killing her self defense as what she did looked pretty threatening and like she was going to do something bad. Also he kind of had to choose to save only one of them as if he didn't then they both would have fell.

@@basicsimp8798 I never said it did. I just meant that it's not like he just murdered her because he wanted to or something like that. Also, it clearly wasn't being trigger-happy when it was something like that which seemed very threatening and would be more than reasonable to think it's danger.

Indara is a mass murderer, although she didn't go there willingly. In Saw's words, "Let's call it 'war'." The reason war is such a problem is that it doesn't just condone, it leads to this kind of atrocity. She tried to stop it, Tobin and Sol did not listen, so she had to put an end to it. She murdered 50 people -- essentially a whole civilization.

People need to realize that the Coven was not evil and when you go from that viewpoint you realize that they were just a family trying to protect there children but also there way of life- They didn’t kill anyone they didn’t hurt anyone the only time they used there powers was always in defense never in trying to kill someone After Mother Aniseya was brutally murdered by Jedi Sol wrongfully that is when the Coven fighting still in defense but also in offense so that no other person would die- You can feel how you want to feel but Jedi Sol Jedi Torbin and the wooky Jedi we’re all in the wrong Carrie Anne moss was the only one who consistently tried to understand what was going on from a higher big picture view point But those Jedi after what they did should have all been stripped of there station and immediately removed from the Jedi order and the fact that they weren’t because they kept the secret for 16 yrs shows that they were corrupt and had fallen into darkness The witches were definitely innocent the Jedi came in like child protective services and instead of actually looking at the situation Sol just immediately said they were in danger all because he wanted a Padawan if you listen to Carrie Anne moss character She states and that’s why I have a Padawan and you don’t they made that scene jump out because they wanted the viewers to realize that Sol was jealous of not having a student to teach so much so that it clouded his judgment. Yes the witches lived differently but all three of the male Jedis were jumping to quick conclusions and making their own decisions At the end of the day aniyseya had made up her mind about letting osha go with the jedis there was no need for violence When she shouted out No it was her way of trying to stop the jedis and mother Koril from fighting and before that happened Sol yet again jumped to conclusions and killed her immediately making him the bad guy and darkening his spirit Everything after that moment was just a response to the jedis killing their leader but they never were in danger the ceremony wasn’t evil and neither were any of the witches They just did things differently

Hi Dustin and Wendy. I just solved this episode 2 hours ago happy to see your reaction to it at least we know the truth about what happened in the fire but still other mysteries. Like how did the sister survive the fall and whu the 3 Decide to hide an exile. I wonder what the next episode will be After osha put on the helmet , I hope that doesn't mean that she'll be turning bad more than Mae. I hope Sol tells both the sisters the truth next episode !!!

100+ year old mining facility. Throw in an oil fire AND an electrical fire. Add in a dash of no one teaching the children fire safety. Yeah. Mae accidentally destroyed her home. That said, in my opinion, a lion's share of the blame goes to Torbin for his impulsiveness and stubbornness and to Koril for LITERALLY pitting one daughter against the other because she didn't like the Jedi. The only one who was blameless in the entire situation was poor Kelnacca, who is now branded a madclaw despite the fact that he had no control over himself when he clawed Torbin's face up.

You don't think that the fortress has collapsed. Due to the fact that the fire damaged the electronics and its gradual overloading and short-circuiting then caused the reactor explosion. And the oil burned similarly to the Olympic fire, which in reality burns like this even on a stone.?

There is a lot to unpack in this episode. First, what happened to Koril? Did she save Mae? I am still not 100% sold on Qimir being Sith yet...He is leaning more towards Dark Jedi than Sith, and we haven't seen anyone with the Red/Gold Eyes yet either. Now that we have seen what happened from the Jedi perspective, I wonder if there is a 3rd version of events that is to be told.

So many mistakes, and maybe all the witches die anyway if Mother Anisaya(Sp?) doesn't mess with Torbin making him feel like he had to rush them so he can leave, maybe they don't because instead of focusing on the Jedi they focus on the fire. Maybe if Sol wasn't an unfocused Jedi and kept himself in check Indara goes in alone and the other things don't happen. I don't think Sol goes that night if Torbin isn't influenced. Also I think the fire was because of the 2 areas of damages caused by Mae, the elevator and door fire, which probably doesn't happen if Spiky mom keeps her mouth shut. Like you guys said, SO MANY MISTAKES, though I don't blame Indara, the wookie or Mother Anisaya for any of them.

How did their 'story' go when they lied to the council? How did getting possessed affect Kalnacca afterwards? Did Indara feel any guilt? Did Osha adjust or did shw struggle the whole time she was Sol's padawan?

The whole Acolyte series could have been a direct to Disney+ movie, and that would have been far more enjoyable than extending it into a mini-series. Edit: Also, to summarize the plot here, Child Protection Services assumed that there was a probable case of domestic abuse and decided to take matters into their own hands, only to realize they badly misread the situation and made a lot of mistakes. Then they decided to sweep it under the rug.

Osha didn’t see Sol kill her mother. She was trapped in her room by that point, with the fire that Mae caused. Mae was the one who saw Sol kill her mother. But he did fess up to Mae on the choices he made while on Brendok, that ultimately led to him to killing Mother Aniseya.
