Can y'all actually WATCH my video before commenting "idk why ki adi mundi is there i heard he wasnt born yet" I LITERALLY TALK ABOUT THIS. I mention in my video how his age/life span has never been mentioned in canon content. Jesussssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
his "canon" was firmly established in star wars legends. Usually legends quarrel with the canon and canon with the legends, so there we are right now. people hating. hating that many things in star wars are being retconned just to fit the narrative. and just recently, Wookipedia, the official Star Wars Wiki, has become the target of a backlash after updating Ki-Adi-Mundi's date of birth after The Acolyte ep 4 was shown.
Yeah, it's so funny how Jecki technically answers the question Osha said, but was oblivious to the question Osha meant. But not as funny as how Osha later calls him "The Bazil", and Yord is like, "Uh, that's his name."
@@RomaricGuino Trilla uses it in Fallen Order too! I saw someone say “they fly now?” But seriously this show is good, people are being really over critical about every part
Say what you will about the show but they nailed the build up to The Master. Mae finds Kelnacca dead as night falls. Sol senses something and they see something floating to the ground. The Master slowly approaches them and without saying a word. Osha is scared as The Master stands inches from Osha. He ignites the saber, briefly tricking the audience that he killed her, then throws Osha with the force by barely moving his hand. The Jedi charge and pushes all the Jedi back. Perfect introduction. Imagine if we hadn't seen the master in any promotional stuff except the saber. We only hear his voice at the end of episode 1. Then BOOM, their he is at the end of episode 4. The Sith or whatever he is was genuinely creepy and great cliffhanger. Their are aspects of The Acyote that I find interesting. It being set at the tail end of the High Republic is a nice change of pase compared to constantly being I'm the Skywalker Saga. The character of Sol is fantastic, he's the highlight of the show for me. The mystery looks intriguing and the fights look good so far. Despite that, the story feels off and weird right now. I'm not even pissed about the whole virgin birth thing because it was never specifically stated what they did. The acting is hit or miss. The effects look either good or CW. I'll watch the whole series before I make a final judgment.
I agree. The show is uneven and a bit all over the place with the things you said. I also agree with their birth. People complain and say it goes against the birth of Anakin, but we don't know enough yet about how they were created to be able to say that.
It's cool Louise, that you react almost the same as I reacted to this, and in the same places. I wondered if the Master was Kamier for the same reason or a surviving witch? now that is a far fetched theory!
Mae's 180 that she did on Qimir threw me for a loop and based on your reaction and other reactions I have seen threw you all as well. A good episode, but obviously we are still missing some pieces to this story. The ending leaving viewers wanting more, including myself, was fantastic. Still lots of questions to be answered and hopefully we get those answers in the coming episodes. Thanks as always for your reaction and everything you do here on your channel. It's much appreciated. Peace ✌
So you and 10 others make a video claming that there is more of yous ,by that you mean the "good fans" who want more DEI only to have to take the video down cause 1 of the people in the video is a bully and a bad person who has make fake channels/accounts or something to try bully and manipulate others and then a 2nd person in this group had stolen the name and image's of somebody else . So you "good fans" (all 11 which is now down to 9) is made up of lies, bullys and catfishers 😂 Feck are you sure you are the good guys 😂 Oh and lets not forget how you got roasted by two POC ladys on twitter for not being inclusive enought 😂
You're correct. The villian is one of the mothers. That would make them NOT Sith related at all. Keeping cannon in order. PLUS in an official trailer the villian says "The Jedi killed my sisters." I'm guessing Mother Anasaia herself. If not then yeah it's Corral.
Can’t wait to see Vernestra *WHIP* it good in the coming weeks!! I know it’s fairly obvious that Qimir is the Smiley Sith, but I think it still works if you’ve seen Manny Jincinto’s work on The Good Place; you wouldn’t suspect a goofy smuggler played by Jason Mendoza to be a Sith Lord. PLEASE DON’T KILL BAZIL, MR. SMILEY SITH!!!😭😭
This is my favorite show 😃 the ending was the best 🙌🏽 excited to see who this evil Jedi is because people don't understand they're not referring to him as a sith
Though I’m pissed they killed kalnaka OFF SCREEN!!!! What the fuck I want see a Jedi Wookiee fight! But aside from that that dark Jedi’s entrance was fucking scary
If the Jedi state that the the Sith were extinct at the time of the Phantom Menace, while actually dealing and meeting with a Sith every single day, is it breaking canon for other Sith to also be around without them being aware?
The dark side user doing their Death Eater best entrance was excellent. I still think this is a misdirect and the big bad isn't Qimir. I would prefer it to be Koril as she wasn't seen dead by Mae or Osha. And the Dathomirian Zabrak do have a certain love of the red lightsabres. :)
All I have to say about Ki Adi Mundi is that he's Jedi Arrogance at it's worst, he's never right about anything. The Master floats in like Count Dooku, yeets Osha away, & put the Jedi immediately on the defensive. Sol & Jecki are the only actual Jedi acting Jedi in this show & I hope they are/will be ok. Bazil is you're new favorite & we must accept that. You are correct in that the Master is some kind of Dark Sider but not yet confirmed to specifically be a Sith
How n da hell does Qimir know what OSHA thinks about #Sol Especially cause Master Sol can probe people’s minds! #Thatstelling 4 sure! And he acts like a Jar Jar or Yoda character acting weak… when they are actually very strong 💪🏿 ❤
Mundi shouldn't even be alive at this point in time, they literally changed his age during the premiere of this episode, and shoehorned him in this episode because, reasons? Mind, he even says the sith have been extinct for a millennium in ROTS. Mae literally decides she's good out of nowhere and wants to turn her self in after killing jedi masters, says her allegiance is with her sister when she literally tried killing her. Imagine Yoda not being able to sense any of this. If he could sense the jedi getting killed across the galaxy in ROTS, you can bet he's gonna sense these jedi getting slaughtered. Anakins birth did get a slap in the face. These witches created 2 perfect force sensitive twins using a kindergarten chant. Also why TF did all the jedi just decide to charge at the "sith"? 🤦♂️ This show is the result of when you hire non passionate activists who don't have a clue what their doing instead of passionate artists who actually care about the franchis. Each episode gets worse, and worse, and w o r s e... especially when you shoehorne fucking pronouns No show / movie is perfect by any means, but this... This is fucking atrocious. It could have easily been good, but fumbled HARD.
I think the sith is the one giving Osha those visions of Mae much like Snoke did with Rey and Kylo Ren in The Last Jedi I think she's been his target the whole time and Mae was just the bait
Did anyone besides me notice the Sith Lords hands are black? At first I thought he was wearing gloves but having seen them multiple times it’s either a black person maybe mom? Or someone who has intentionally dirty hands to mislead people in thinking there someone they’re not?
One popular theory, which I agree with, is that it's Koril. But Mae would recognize Koril's rather distinctive hands. So, Koril would plausibly use dark "make-up" to ensure Mae doesn't suspect her identity.
I don’t think that masked guy is a sith I think he could be a dark Jedi and they could get away with that cause dark Jedi are just Jedi that just use the dark side while the sith that fully embrace the dark side and they believe in the rule of two anything more than two would just be a rival while the “master” has Mae and qmir as his protégé’s which breaks the rule of two
Since that is Ki-Adi-Mundi, it doesn't make since he said; "Impossible! The Sith have been extinct for a millenium." Two ways it doesn't break canon. 1) Is if everyone doesn't make it back to Coruscant to report it. 2) as you say; he could not be Sith just a Force Welder.
If an entire town’s worth of people warned you passionately, that a local restaurant had actually been caught serving food with human feces in it.... But then you met one particular family who did NOTHING but sing this place’s praises.. When you ask them about the human feces in the food, they just brush you off and continue to praise the food. Are you going to that restaurant? ___________________ Why do you listen to these clowns? 😂
No one can tell me that was not a great episode, I loved it. Your reaction at the end of the show was exactly what mine was "noooooo". I also realized Jecki is played by Dafne Keen who also played Laura in Logan. Like you, I thought Qimir was acting strange during the hike. As always, your reaction was great.
I just want to clarify that liking something doesn't automatically make it good. It is perfectly acceptable to like something that is bad. I. E. The Super Mario Brothers live action movie is a bad movie, but I still like it. Me liking the movie does not make it good.
Bazil is clearly The Master. He disappears and Mae runs into him just outside Kelnacca's house just after Kelnacca was killed, he disappears again and The Master shows up.
I’m kinda confused as to why ki adi mundi is there cause from what I read of him he wasn’t born during the high republic era and his life span isn’t exactly that long being a male cause they can reach up to 50 years maybe if they properly explain it or if the ki adi mundi we see here is an ancestor of the ki adi mundi in the clone wars cause it would be a plot hole for him saying that the sith haven’t shown up in a thousand years I mean that masked sith may not actually be a sith but a dark Jedi I mean it’s kinda cool ki adi mundi is there(even though he’s a jerk) it’s just odd maybe it will be explained as to how he managed to live longer than his male counterparts
Mundi is a cerean. They have the same life span as humans. Also he wasn't meant to be born for another seven years. But I guess who's counting right? After all, that's not the worse part about this show.
1. Cerean lifespans have never been established in canon. Only in Legends. 2. Ki-Adi-Mundi’s age/date of birth was never - not for one second - canon, either. It was printed on one *(ONE)* Topps collector’s card from 2003. A baseball card, dude. It remains absolutely wild that y’all genuinely think you know the canon better (or care about it more) than Dave Filoni.
Okay I know a lot of people are very upset about Kelnacca dying but at least he’ll be remembered. Plus I don’t think we seen the last of him, we may see him in flashbacks.
Bazil is a Tynnan, they’re a cool EU species from the old novels! 🤗 Their home planet is Tynna, it’s in the same part of the galaxy as Umbara and Mimban.
Once again, Louise Julie, Kyle Katarn, and BW are the ONLY ones I go to for Acolyte reactions and reviews. Seeing that Sith float down and out of focus in the background gives me dementor vibes from Harry Potter, and his raw force power is definitely something to be feared! That cliffhanger really wants me to crave for MORE, MORE!!
i enjoy star wars, but not this fanfic tho. Where they actually picked whole cast, not because they are good actors, but because of what political ideology they are pushing... Up till this moment, episode 5 is the only episode i managed to finish watching, and to be fair, it was the only good episode. With 180 mil budget, the first 4 episodes are worse than some low budget sitcoms. But episode 5 is already twisting the jedi in shit way, that they cant even sense in the force what should be instantly evident at end of the episode. And take a guess, a jedi, who creators try to make a bad guy and bad guy, are both the best actors in the show, and take a guess, they chose as bad guys the 2 actors, who are actually good, to be bad guys, because they are straight men.
@@Swarmah I think you need to stop thinking everything is against straight people. It’s star wars there are humans dating aliens it doesn’t matter what sexuality they are. And if you don’t think Star Wars is about politics then you don’t understand it. I don’t understand why people who continue to say they don’t like it keep watching it go find something you do enjoy it truly baffles me that you want to be unhappy and then complain and try and make others unhappy.
@@deepinsnow the problem is, they chose bad actors and bad writers, to make a bad show, just because of they identify as a flower pot or something... There are only 2 good actors, and they are bad guys, and there is very simple explenation, and its what hollywood pushes in our faces all the time lately. And, this agenda pushing actually makes people hate LGBTQ not like them. People like me, who were previously neutral, are starting to hate it all. If you leave me alone, i just do not care, but if you push it as fascist, where its only way allowed to be, when you call everybody an it, cos saying he/her in games is even banable for 2 weeks, if someone from lgbtq doesnt like it. It just makes people hate all this. And yes, here they chose bad actors and bad writers to be main cast. Except Sol and Sith Master. And they both are asian, but im still racist biggot, because lgbtq biggots say so.
Hey Louise, regular watcher, SW rules however this (for me) isn't my cup of tea. I do appreciate however your positivity! Just because one likes something and another doesn't doesn't necessarily mean everyone has to become mortal enemies! Keep the content up. In a world of negativity you are a shining light, top draw as always
Leeland Chee was the Lucas film Continuity Database Administrator (Head of Cannon). In a 2008 article he said this, "George's view of the universe is his view. He's not beholden to what's gone before. The careful tending of the Star Wars continuity has yielded great wealth, but the key to a productive farm is to leave some fields flexible". George Lucas would break "Star Wars Cannon" all the time.
I seriously love Louise, Blind Wave, Late to the Party, Reel Rejects and Kyle Katarn for Star Wars react and input content. You guys give fair criticisms as well as finding good in things and just not repeating and regurgitating the huge hate the rest of the internet goes into. It’s so easy to just spew into hate and rage these days. Of course no story is perfect. Hope you have a good day Louise! Always fun hearing your input!!
Great comment. And I’m sorry for the shameless self-plug, but if u like those channels, I’m the same thing with an artsy twist. Just the Best Partz. Got episode 4 coming out later today. Just trying to grow my baby channel.
A comment like this makes me smile, as I could not agree with you more. I’m getting so sad by going on RU-vid and seeing only hate and negativity about this show in my feed. I’m just happy not everyone is the same, and there luckily are still positive and shining lights as well 😊
I don’t understand why everyone ignores the fact that the story is completely garbage… look guys I’m not a hater, I mean I love the actor of Sol. He try really hard to make his character good… I loved mando, ahsoka, even Kenobi had wonderful moments… but I don’t know what happened with the acolyte… the story is boring as f, the motive of mae is a complete garbage. Let me shortly explain why I think that: her motivation for killing the jedis, was, apparently, the death of osha. But why? She wanted to kill osha… so why is mae now from one moment to another good and want to join the Jedi? I don’t get it? And before someone comes to me and say that I am a racist etc. I have a gay brother, a Dutch wife and many transgender friends I don’t care about that at all, I just want some good story’s over real life politics. I love Star Wars because I can dive into this amazing universe and forget the real world… but I’m sorry I can’t accept acolyte as Star Wars, because it’s poorly written and boring. If u like it u like it but for me, my canon is legends now. Oh btw: sorry for my poor English 😅 I’m from Germany that’s why 😂
Your response to Basil was exactly like mine! I love him!! PLUS... I would also like some words with the people that keep putting the bugs in my shows. No, just no! Love the reaction, as always Louise ❤
I love the non-toxic Star Wars channels. If there's criticism, Louise doesn't approach it like she's been personally offended. I would have LOVED to see our wookie friend in action so I booed that moment lmao. But I liked 3 & 4 a lot more than 1 & 2. Now that we're getting into more of the action with 5, I'm looking forward to it.
Really wanted to like this series, but like Kenobi there is just too much wrong that takes me out of it. Characters change their mind with little or no reason, Mae chooses to disable the door droid and walk in full view through the temple rather than enter through the ( convenient) unguarded open roof that she later uses, Jedi stand and watch as the ' dark one' glides in, walks right up to Osha who they are supposed to be protecting, and only when the sabre appears do they do anything, far too late. People can just lie to evade the jedi test and apparently the jedi can't sense this, just as they all failed to sense the creatures surrounding them in the woods, because plot convenience. Sol uses the force to grab Mae earlier yet later just grabs for her hand, the list goes on. There are some fantastic parts but it's hard to appreciate them among all the bad.
@@BenChanNYC Of course, from the famous 12 parsecs ,to Leia remembering a mother who died at birth, but they were few and far between compared to the many in each episode of a $180 million production. These are not nit picks but basic characterisation flaws and story telling, Yord demands the blaster from Osha, gets distracted for a second and then forgets about it . Sol absolutely convinced Mae is dead but does a complete 180 simply because Osha says she thinks she is alive. Picking up escape pods and the prisoners but not landing and checking if the most important prisoner, Mae, survived the crash.Instead going back to base where they then decide to go back and look. So yes, mistakes happen in everything, but not with the frequency and obviousness of this.
I just don’t get why they keep killing the Jedi’s so quick. Makes me give zero fk’s about their deaths. I’m trying to like the show but just can’t. It’s not ever yet, wait and see I guess.
My hot take is Mae said that she has changed her mind to trick the other guy into killing the jedi and reveling himself so she has both killed a jedi without using a weapon an learnt her masters identity at the same time! But I don't think the writer's are that clever
@@blytheguy7510 No…….. There’s a difference between a bad TV show and something labeled as Star Wars that is absolute shit adding to the degradation of a great franchise. And I’ll complain about whatever I choose to complain about.
Love your insights as always. We will see our awesome wookie again in flashbacks as we learn more of the truth and the mystery plays out. I think Qimir is the apprentice. Cant wait yo see who the Master is. I am hoping for a shock!!! Love you ❤
Hi Louise I love your content and this show is alright but i hate people who talk shit about us who are enjoying it, i hate Harry but i dont talk shit for all those who like it
although the S word isn't being thrown around by anyone, when mae and kimer talk in episode 2 they throw out the words "peace is a lie" which are the first words of the Sith code.
I think that guy helping Mae might be the dark side individual. He probably killed the Wookie Jedi and set Mae up for the downfall. But I think he may also be the apprentice of the real dark lord. Perhaps they were using Mae to point out the hypocrisy of the Jedi, or at least their mistakes made to that coven that one night. We still have many unanswered questions and I'm here to find out some answers. My biggest complaint of this episode is the runtime. We needed an extra 15 minutes. Your reactions always put a smile on my face. Thanks for using your force for good. This show is actually pretty decent if folks can leave their identity politic bullshit at the door. I have a few minor criticisms here and there but nothing that makes me all butt hurt about it. Take care. See you for the next episode!
@@DarksideGmss0513 It only really evokes Abeloth, as far as I’m concerned. I’ve been interested to see how few people are making that connection - maybe she’s less well known in the fandom than I thought?
I felt the same way when I saw that wookie Jedi in the chair I was thinking is he dead already or is he asleep and I really wanted The wookie Jedi to stay for a few more episodes but the new sith we just saw he creeps me out and that helmet he was wearing creeps me out even more because it looked like he was smiling
Seriously? They had that "Harry" the Wookie in all the promos, and we don't even get to see what could of been an epic battle? Who wrote this tripe!🤦♂️
I like this show. I know it gets a little bit of criticism because that's slow start. But how many other Star Wars shows? Had a slow start like the book of boba fatt and the kenobi show. But I'm so interested on which sith lord. are they gonna reveal to us? Is it dark plagues? Are his master? I forgot his name. I just remember it starts with a T
