The Acolyte Episode 4 Is A HUGE Waste of Time - Spoilers! 

Jeremy Jahns is right. I haven't been watching any Star Wars since Revenge of the Sith, I only ever watch people making RU-vid videos about Star Wars because I have neither the time nor the emotional investment to give it a watch at all. That way I have watched it by proxy and use my time to read or do whatever I find more enjoyable. Thanks for suffering for people like me, Adam.

About the $180M, I've never heard anyone say it out loud, but in my opinion, that's clearly and without a doubt "hush money" to Headland, allegedly. The show was clearly allegedly filmed for $4 on an old abandoned set for "Bambi" the live-action. in my opinion.

Accounting for inflation, each of the prequels had a budget around $185 million. The Acolyte was around $180 million. I get that there’s more watch time in a series, but for the same price Disney could have created a film with a more focused plot (and make money from a theatrical release before dropping it on D+).

OSHA will turn to the dark side. The fact it seemed she sees her sister Mae, as a murderer but all that rage is gonna cause some type of reaction .. there’s a clip in the trailer where I believe someone else has a red lightsaber.. either Zipper face dies and OSHA takes it or Zipper face has an extra and tosses it to OSHA .. a real twist of a twist..

Nobody hates Star Wars like Disney employees. I guess good old Kathy Kennedy has a lot of bitterness towards George and Steven because she has basically destroyed everything LucasFilm's owns. Willow TV series was so bad, Disney removed it and they will never put that s@it on physical media.

Everyone knows this is the FLAGSHIP for the new REY Trilogy coming up. Right? Can’t come up with anything new by themselves. So they’ve decided to create a beginning before the prequel trilogy with the only thing they care about. Self images and self inserts. It was said that the thread was the beginning and the Jedi perverted it. The Rey Sequel Trilogy will course correct to that narrative. Retconning everything Lucas created for the majority. Thinking that will thrust the Rey character to center stage much like Luke or even Vader was. And for the laughs, ol’ p*nis head was just added to that retcon list. Among a slew of already slain canon. I guess anyone can be in Hollywood these days as long as you fit the agenda I guess. If I’m being absolutely honest about this approach to Star Wars for the past 10 years, it feels like it’s been a stranger hurting me (RU-vid censored- use your imagination) whilst whispering in my ear the whole time, nothing but calming phrases to distract me as they continue to do it. Slowly. For ten years so far. 😩 I’ll add--This stranger is also telling me that this is completely natural and that it’s the last time. Promise. 🤦‍♂️

They can keep scraping that nostalgia barrel, but it just isnt working anymore. I only watch this to see how bad its gonna be. And when I say watch I mean...i fast forward through a lot of the walking and staring parts. And the director has that speech about just faking it till you make it in hollywood. Such total BS. She was lucky. Got thrown a bone. Knew someone. I know how the entertainment industry works. I just think its sad no one is saying anything. Even Dave Filoni. Whats that dudes deal? 'The Acolyte' = 'The Aco Bud Lyte' and just as the Bud Light execs chose to alienate core customers, 'The Acolyte' alienates core Star Wars fans and it's going to heavily damage Disney's stock price, market share, and long-term customer loyalty.

I can guarantee you that in 20 yrs Disney will be making money off The Acolyte. Not because it's good but because it's so bad. Then they will try to do a season 2 in the future and it will be bad again, but it won't have the same status. Gonna be some documentary about it also. This is so bad its good. The merch is gonna be worth a lot also. Star Wars will be good again. Once new management comes in.

Not really acolyte related, but adam did bring it up. I know we all wanted to see our favorite characters come back for one last hurrah as a hero. But lets face it, your past hero has been getting the senior discount for a hot minute. Logically, Their only function story wise is to pass the torch and/or die. For football fans thats like thinking we can win the big one if we could just lure joe montana out of retirement. Spoiler alert: you aint winning a damn thing, and montana is probably gone before the end of the 1st quarter due to a broken hip or some shit.

I'm starting to think this show is about appreciating stepfathers, because Sol is more of a dad to Mae. And Osha is following orders from another man's command. If you think about it, the first Jedi to die was a woman and the male Jedi had to kill himself.

I just want to thank you Adam for suffering through all of this. I just can't do it. My Mouse House subscription is canceled but i was able to watch the first four episodes. Hang in there because I want to be updated about where the crap flows next. I think the sith lord is Carrie Ann Moss. Just think about it.

The funniest scene was when they learned that the wookie lived in the forest, then few min later they all gather to look at the forest and say out loud that the wookie must be in the forest 😂 I just can’t believe how stupid it all is, my brain cells are dying watching this

It's a sad state of affairs when we consider that, in the grand scheme of things, an episode that (when you rip off the Star Wars skinsuit) is a lot of 'tell not show', character interactions/priority changes that make no sense and a damn cop-out cliffhanger is _an improvement_ over last week's episode?
