I am still confused about whether or not darkness is vanitas because in remind when sora went inside Ventus's heart, darkness appeared but vanitas was already out of him at that time
This is bad, an entity that can possess people or change itself to look like them ? This is kind of like John Carpenter's "The Thing" but with cute visuals!
I was watching the opening again and the ending shot of sora and friends made me feel like their actually the 13 darkness think about it all of them except kairi ether fall to darkness or a lined with darkness at same point im not saying their evil just that they were unlike the organization most were tricked or possessed by the big man him self who turned out not to be such bad guy in the end just misguided
Darkmythsolider My idea is more like Terra talking about his “stupid mistakes” with Kronk comforting him by saying it’s more like bad luck. And also how Terra and Riku react to Kronk’s talks with his shoulders.
If it weren't for the fact that Nomura likes to divert us from what we're thinking, or even troll us with details that become red herrings later, I would personally believe that Ava is Darkness and by proxy the traitor. After all, everyone except for Ava in Back Cover was actually considered to be the traitor. But Ava was spared that accusation. Sure, she ended up fighting in the Keyblade War anyway but if you play as any other clan in X, you see just how despondent she acts. So she might wanna defy destiny so others can decide it for themselves.
yungbreezy36 It’s not impossible, Ava wanted to change their destiny and planted a virus amongst their ranks, and also replaced Strelitzia with Ventus. No matter how cruel Darkness seemed to be, it is essentially carrying out Ava’s mission, not to mention Luxu did say Ava successfully carried out her mission. And in the first scene, darkness said it wouldn’t go with Maleficient yet because it had some business to attend to. And if you remember, Luxu mentioned in the secret reports about the dandelions traversing to another worldline, albeit with the involvement of a certain lady with magic from the future (obviously Maleficient). A possibility is that Maleficient acted as the destination point of time travel for the dandelions as was Luxu with the foretellers in the epilogue. And if darkness is really Ava then it can also be deduced that she used Maleficient as the destination point and the last thing to do is send the dandelions off.
@@lokekennee8850 Key thing in the update were the foretellers talked about how Ava invited them and Brain revealed the list, we learn all of them but Ven were met by Ava on the hillside about Daybreak Town were Brain had gathered them, but Ven was met by 'Ava' at the Clocktower, plus the list didn't have Ven on it
@@Mysticgamer I meant to say as a joke after the events of KH3. Lauriam remember everything, learn or remember about Strelitzia's death, then he meet up with Roxas thinking he is Ventus.
I do not believe the darkness was originally vens but rather the darkness at one point tried to possess ven, failed, and got stuck in his heart hence why he had equal parts of light and dark inside him when he was xehanorts apprentice
So, the recap so far is that "Darkness" is actually this primal force that is across time and space that the Master of Masters and Xigbar and the foretellers have no chance against, and the whole reason Xigbar went across multiple lifetimes body jacking people and manipulated Xehanort into opening Kingdom Hearts was just a step in preparation. We can also gather that Vanitas is just an avatar of Darkness that doesn't know what he is, and just wants to go back to himself or "nothingness" as you see in the secret reports. But the whole concept of Darkness is "without light" and it tries to encroach upon and erase everything it touches and all MOM and Xigbar can do is run the fuck away. and Xehanort got seduced by it, thinking that it was the hearts true essence when in reality : It's just a thing we all have to deal with inside. We know Luxu and MOM want to stop darkness. We know Luxord and Yozora have some sort of involvement since Luxord knows way too much. We know Marluxia and Ven are going to get involved since Ven . . .did a thing. . . and Sora is once again the key to all of this.
@Silent Youngsters I'm actually thinking of a fight in KH1 that I bet everyone forgot about (myself included) in Peter Pans world as Riku is leaving with Kairi a blob of Darkness rises from the floor and takes the shape of Sora with a copy of his Keyblade. When the fight is over instead of it being destroyed like any other enemy is just turns back into a Blob of Darkness and fades away as if it just decided to give up rather than actually being beaten. It's never brought up what it was, it's never acknowledged and it just goes away. It absolutely not a Heartless because no Heartless has done anything like that before or after the first game and looking at what Darkness Incarnate can do I wonder if that weird Dark clone was just Darkness itself
@@Darth_Bateman Well, if you remember, Xehanort see Darkness aura behind the The Queen of Hearts in Chapter 2 of Dark Road. Then in the Epilogue, Xehanort comes back, alone. He sees the Darkness behind the Queen again, and acts as if he expects it. As if he has been chasing them. Why would he be chasing them? I can think of a good reason. Revenge. Why revenge? Therein comes my hypothesis. Darkness wore the bodies of either Xehanort's classmates or teachers, and murdered the students who's graves we see in the Epilogue of Chapter 1.
What if the start of Vanitas was planted in Ventus like a seed? I believe possibly Luxu plant the darkness, coaxing it to grow until he finally commanded it to take over for a time. That is when Vanitas could have been truly born. As for why he took Ava's form when leaving, I am guessing it's because she was occupied elsewhere and to keep Ventus close so he could go back to sleep deep within Ventus. He wasn't truly his own self, so being out of the heart could lead to bad circumstances I believe. This is more a hypothesis than a concrete theory as I don't know the timing of everything. However, it does seem it could work with the time capsules if their arrival times are altered.
As Vanitas mentions, Ventus and Sora define him, they give him form. Vanitas is "Mr. Darkness" but with a part of Ventus (since Ventus' heart was broken when they got separated) and at the same time he's connected with Sora. So Vanitas is not exactly Darkness, but kinda like a new form of him. What will be interesting for future games is if they are going to become each their own independent character, because when Sora encountered Darkness in ReMind it wasn't Vanitas.
Funny thing, I think Anti- Black Coat Nightmare that show up right before that quote is a form of Darkness. After all, it has Dark Chirithy's red eyes, purple streaks, and their theme is the same.
That part you say about teleporting from place to place makes so much sense! When fighting Xigbar he literally teleports from point to point in an instant as well! It's like they have complete control over their whole selves.
I think that Darlnress took control over Ava or she just might be it that would explain what happens to her and why she didn't return with the other foretellers
I like to say during that secret ending cutscene in Kingdom Hearts 3 when Sora and Riku are in Shirbou or whatever the name of the city. You can see the Master of Masters chin briefly like the game says "Here's a Hint for you KH fans!" Thanks alot, Creator of Kingdom Hearts lol
I don’t think it’s impossible for Ava to be darkness. She wanted to change their destiny and planted a virus amongst their ranks, and also replaced Strelitzia with Ventus. Ok everyone keeps saying that’s the MoM in the secret movie when I heard a female voice different from the MoM’s voice during that part and I thought it was actually Ava
5:50 What did MoM just say about looking into things too deeply?? I'm pretty sure this was just a random teleportation. We've seen KH characters do this before.
I'm really hoping that the master of masters is Sora or some form of Sora whether it be by time travel or dimensions. I've been wanting this franchise to go into a darker more mature tone with its story telling and I think this would be such a great moment where we finally get not only a more mature Sora who must come to terms with his own darkness but we finally get the stakes raised to a new level where our most beloved characters we're rooting for may actually have to put eveything on the line, even their lives. Could bring us fans some heartbreak down the road but maybe even some epic moments we never dreamed of being conceived.
I believe darkness does what Ansem, Seer of Darkness, did to Riku's heart. Remember, In Re Chain of Memories, the Ansem there is created from Riku darkness. It take the form of Ansem, Seer of Darkness because Riku fears Ansem. Zexion even calls it Ansem's shadow. I think when Darkness the character touches a person's heart, it creates a copy in the heart based on the beings negative emotions, memories, and desires. Puppets of Darkness. I think Dark Chirithy is one of them, spawned from the The Player to create more Puppets (corrupted Keyblade weilders)
So I got a theory, what if after all this ventus is plagued with so much guilt that somehow he seeks out master xehanort in a attempt to learn to control his darkness which leads to why he was with him in the first place and what might have even sparked why xehanort thought to create vanitas since he knew about the power ven had.
For all we know darkness is literally is an embodiment of darkness itself, and vanitas is still Ventus darkness but because he is darkness he has have come from darkness itself where all darkness originally came from
petition for nomura to make this whole arc into a movie and have HMK be the voice behind darkness, just so we could hear his pick it up growl again as the official voice audio XD
@@alialatrach9788 I think he was 15, and the events where he was training with Xehanort and then met Aqua and Terra were 4 years prior. Remember he came into contact with Sora's newborn heart back then, and Sora was 4 during the main events of BbS. We know that because it's 10 years before KH1, where Sora was 14.
the sins are Darkness- Pride Ira-wrath Invi-envy Aced-sloth Ava-greed Gula-gluttony and Luxu is lust,Darkness betrays the master which are the events that happen anyway in the book,Darkness has ven kill rose boys sister so it can read the book,Once it reads the book it would know how to do things a bit differently as to not be caught and to put seeds of deceit in the firetellers only speeding up the process to the Keyblade war,Once the world is falling to darkness,The darkness takes control of Ven again uses the ark to get to the future but both lose their memories in the process Xehanort finds ventus and can see how strong the being known as darkness is,Eventually tears him out of Ventus and is given the name vanitas,It All Makes Sense Now!
I'm confused; isn't real world Daybreak Town destroyed or in ruin because of the Keyblade War? The Ark Maleficent ends up in looks like it's holding up pretty good. Was the clocktower left intact after the war?
Random but do y’all think we will ever see a POC Character in The Kingdom Hearts Series? I want to see diverse representation, I think Tetsuya Nomura could create some amazing character designs and it would be a wonderful challenge. Let’s try and get Papa Nomura to contemplate the possibilities.
okay, here's my thing: wonder they show Lauriam, Arlene and Ventus having a reunion when they became a humans in the Melody of Memories? or the next Kingdom Hearts game?
I don't want to believe it's ava but a lot of people are saying it can't be ava she has no reason to do it. Personally since the MOM picked the union leaders before ava found out his intentions from luxu she does have a reason to swap one out. The lost page saying about venturing forth and misunderstanding the truth as they explore the secrets of tomorrow. Maybe ava was shocked that the light was going too extreme misunderstanding the point and turned traitor from light to dark. Strelitzia being killed and swapped out right before the war sounds like a last attempt at changing things to me.
But also on the flipside, how does Darkness know who the Union Leaders are and that the Dandelions memories of being overwritten? So far its only MoM, Ava and the new Union Leaders that know that information. Brain also says that Ava would've told him about the change but why would she? She has to do something to make sure that she can try to counteract the Master in the future as well, and what better way than to plant Ventus among them without Brain knowing at the time. I feel like Brain will figure this out and have to come up with a plan to send the others to another worldline. She can't reveal all the secrets to Brain so he doesn't try to change anything, hence why she "ventured forth in secrecy".
@HMK I haven't seen any video about Marluxia being Lauriam. x - Was the word for 'Key', within the Nobodys right? Since all Nobodys have their original name as anagram with the X added
I think that all this information is very interesting and I think that The Darkness is taking the form of Ava so that Ventus will think she had chosen him but now he knows he wasn’t.
I'm glad Ventus isn't reveled to be a trader! That was scaring me at first. It wasn't his doing. Seeing him crying and realizing what happened, really got me.
There's another theory that "Darkness" is an entity like he can be as Vanitas, and Dark Inferno X, and even Dark Data Riku Ansem?, because Maleficent kinda hinted to Pete, like his a friend of her, but doesn't want to tell us "when" like C'mon Nomura >:(
It would make sense if the ability to defy space like Luxu does, was something that he picked up from the Master of Masters... Wait...doesn't that mean that the MoM is proficient in both Space AND time?
I think Lauriam doesn't know that Ventus killed Strelitzia because if he did know wouldn't he have flipped his s*** the moment he saw Roxas' face and attempt to interrogate or even kill him since he looked like Ventus, or wouldn't he have chosen Ventus as his opponent in KH3 to act on revenge for his sister's death.
The Whole Ava thing doesn’t make sense. All of it. I have a sneaking suspicion that the answer Is already here. In the Melody of Memories final trailer right at the end there was a keyhole that was shown for at least 13 seconds. Within there were three hearts. They were the logos of KH 1,KH2,&KH3 In the first trailer there was a giant white snowflake with keyblade as some of the points. Melody of memories also had a snowflake but black. Light are darkness are balance. Two sides of the same coin. I think it means we have to flip something. I think we need to flip the sides of the groups
yoo, what if MoM actully split his heart and created light and darkness, as every heart has light and darkness. similar to what xehanort did to ventus, except with ventus, his heart’s darkness wasn’t apart of him. MoM could have forged the first original keyblade and then realized what he had done wrong, as splitting a heart is EXTREMELY dangerous to reality. while i do believe darkness IS ava, its also a plausible theory that MoM is LIGHT because he split heart. and its entirely possible that his face is sora’s, and his split created yozora and sora. but its just a theory. if anyone has any support or flaws, lmk?
I like that idea about him splitting himself creating Sora/Yozora. As far as Ava being Darkness though I find it strange that MoM would have her as a disciple with all the knowledge he has about just about everything, and the new revelation that he seemingly does want to end darkness.
HMK take a look at the kingdom hearts 3 secret scene in where sora talks to a star aka a heart that can't remember her name, but remembers who she is wanting for. Though the person she is waiting for his heart has changed beyond all recognition and houses someone else's and if he were to return to who he is he would be distressed by her disappearance. She also explains somebody did this to her. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. PS: love your work.
@@HMK I see yes though this also brings up a layer of interesting aspects to to the fact that she is a blank slate do to kingdom hearts but retains strong memories of who she's waiting for but also from how she speaks on the person she's waiting for and knows what has happened to him tells she has been viewing and hold memory of all past events that have happened previously.
@@HMK One more to think about, back to kingdom hearts 1 when we first get the Divine Rose in the library of hollow bastion from bell. Could that have been lauriums keyblade and indicates a timeline when he made contact with xemnas or maleficent before becoming a nobody with a fractured mind. I think this would make an interesting discussion.
So what I'm hearing is that the MOM is capable of manipulating time? Like Luxord- but he's casting himself out of time and space perhaps him going to verum rex? My point? Luxord is the MOMs
Just when i thought the master of masters was the true ultimate villain of kingdom hearts, you come to tell me that the ultimate villain is... Darkness?. As in the opposite of the light?. At this point, kingdom hearts should be a form of complicated science.
