This interview specifically, yes, because steveo is so boring. But most of adams other interviews would have been much worse if nick were interviewing too. It would be overkill and ruin the dynamic. The interviews work because adam is able to appear sincere and naive and then will ask something funny that contrasts with his initial demanor, but if it's nick he's already got his cynical ironic get up from the start and it doesn't work.
