@@thisisaname5589 I love to find glitches or workarounds in games to avoid puzzles just for fun, but game Devs these days think of everything... It's not easy anymore to break a game like Skyrim back then. Edit: Typos
Id... absolutely hate to encounter anyone like lunk...Imagine your a simple goon tasked to stop a hero and you encounter the hero just to see it's lunk..."Well...guess I'll die"
@@darknessblades you see how slow he is? No agility, no intelligence, maybe some in endurance and dexterity. He kept putting points into strength until it maxed out and needed to dump the extra points into a different stat
I just love how there was no ganondorf, he knew what kind of link appeared and he was like "yeah uh...Nah, you go there, I'll be there next century or something"
I'm slowly going into my 40's and a Lunk of a life is more fitting because I don't have the same amount of energy to be Link to deal with the annoying 3 hour puzzle solving where I prefer just to ram pass everything within 3 hours.
It's funny how it's insinuated that he's really stupid but the fact is that he intuitively sees the most ingenious or pragmatic solution to every problem.
The button thing was actually more clever than the intended solution…he’s aware of how physically unstoppable he is, and realizes “why solve it the right way when this way’s easier?” As well as the most difficult thing for him to do is smile Absolute masterpiece
The entire video I was waiting for the moment Lunk would engage in nihilistic, amoral violence for the sake of shock value, but it turns out he was a true hero after all. Didn’t attack a single creature that didn’t deserve it.
I like how kiiiiiiiiiinda gentle he is to people. Like he's not throwing punches. He's sloooooowly putting things in mouths to stop talking and geeeeently pushing people into the ground. Like he's making sure not to hurt people but he's throwing his weight around
Alternate timeline where the wise mystical tree realized sending a literal child on a mission to save the princess was a bad idea so they sent this behemoth instead.
I had to pause to notice it but Lunk does raise an eyebrow at the tree when he gets the shield "what am I going to do with this?" I love moments like that in the Lunk videos where we can see he has way more going on between his ears then you realize- like when after hearing the fairy go "LISTEN" he just immedieatly leaves. I kind of want a videogame with a protagonist like lunk- instead of trying to collect all the magic items you need to solve puzzles you have to pull a hercules and figure out how to use your tremendous strength in an not immedieately obvious way (like when he diverted a river to clean some stables)
You know, I'd kind of love it if a game let you put so many points into STR that you could just smash down walls and rip steel bars in half instead of having to solve puzzles. You cheat yourself out of rewarding, clever gameplay, but reward yourself with _being physically stronger than the final boss_
OOTS had a scene like that. Spoiler The test of strength was a hydra, they cut off so many heads it couldn't move. The test of the Mind was the "One tells lies and one tells truths", so she shot one with an arrow, and threatened them, lol.
@@GetsugaTensho85 he is the notorious quest giver old man npc they say he creates quests on purpose just to waste your time merely for his amusement how do you think his daughter got seriously ill in the first place? he probably made a poison and gave it to her or tricked her into angering some spirits who cursed her and at the end of the quest, you never do find out if he is truly innocent or not... quoth he, "if there is no questable problem, then i will make a questable problem!" lol jk idk
I don't i always hated when they forced you to do quests for them. Lunk is the I don't care satire character of Simp Link. He is all i don't cares put into one. Just end the game solution solved. Well he still simped in the end kind of but he is not a super simp thats for sure.
@@1bossofbosses Because you're the hero of the people. If you don't save the people or at least help them out, how are you a hero? A 'hero' who doesn't care about helping people is just the next Demon Lord waiting to happen. You're stronger than Ganon? Cool, but uh, you don't care about the people of the land and you're -stronger than Ganon- so uh, let's find a way to skip town or poison his food because he's just Ganon 2.0.
If I ever get the courage to come out of my shell I’m going to cosplay lunk. Huge Zelda fan. Played, beaten, and own them all 1986-2022. I’m also 6’6 250 without a costume.
in an alternative universe where Lunk is the triforce of power instead of courage where everyone believes Lunk will be evil but he wields power to protect those who can't, Ganon on the other hand is the twist villain who starts off being a friend but since he has no power he gets corrupted by the want for power, Lunk snaps his neck easily
Lunk's character sheet. Hp: 5000 mp: 5 Str: 100 int: 1 agl: 1 dex :1 luc: 1 end: 50 abilities Colossal Body: A body so big and strong that every step does 2-5 AoE physical damage and knock up. Unhindered: Can break through, walls, doors, and terrain, without movement penalties. Muscle Brain: All problems encountered have the strength option. Ultimate Strength: While unarmed gain +20 to strength unfazed: Immune to fear, charm, confusion, and mind control.
I feel like his intelligence should be like 10 or 20, he knew how to get everyone to shut up and got straight to the point. I mean the trap with the button and the iron bars he just went straight threw them.
@@c0n22 that is less intelligence and more aggression. And he literally just punched his way through because he couldn't figure out the puzzle so he decided to just tried smashing it.
Rewatching as is required at times, and this time really felt like a super angry speedrun after grinding so hard that you are indeed like Lunk and a literal God but your last 10 pb's died to the final boss or area due to the stupidest shit. Every piece of dialogue at this point being worse than any boss. Glad he smiled at the end. World record for sure.
I've been looking for the original cyanide and happiness upload for ages but I guess it's gone. Glad this reupload exists because a hero like Lunk deserves recognition.
I believe this was part of the first season of the C&H show, and not an individual short. idk if they still have the show up on their channel, but I'd be willing to wager they still have it on vrv or whatever the streaming service was they were using for it.
It was originally published on their RU-vid channel as part the first season of The Cyanide and Happiness Show, but they had trouble financing the show themselves, so it was picked up by the streaming service VRV. They removed the first season from RU-vid but you can still find it on VRV.
I can't stop laughing at how he handled Stormy Thorn Castle so easily while he was just casually introducing himself. Followed by the muffled, "Aw, sh*t"
lunk is suprisingly gentle with how he just. pushes stuff to shut up. the old man and the fairy were uninjured, just stuck, and the tree was fine with the sheild in mouth. only person who may not be fine who wasnt evil was Navi, and even then they are probably fine
@@456death654 Dark Souls, contrary to popular belief, actually had a difficulty scale from easy to hard. It all depended on which character you chose. Choose the archer and you could kill a boss before entering the area.
