They really don't. The plots, the animation quality, voice acting is hit or miss at times but the characters were excellent, particularly Goose.

an awesome 80s Cartoon...we were soooo lucky to have quite simply the greatest selection of morning cartoons ever.....

The deatb of the Saturday cartoons was derailed. Telvisoion broadcast was mandated and had to be e, I compliant (educational and informative. This defeates the purpose, cartoons are used to entertain, not educated. We had school for that.

I watched this in the late 2000s. Found it at my library along with Transformers.

90s kid, but all the good shows came some years late to the North, plus they were easy to get on VHS.

To me this song, is the best one of the 80's animated theme music, the rest of them are all really good to, but i like this one very much.

Rock'n'Cop was a show about a teen named Rico from the 80's, fleeing from the police who lost control over his VW beetle and time warped into the future. There he crashed with his beetle into future police officer Claude's hover car. After some wild chases they somehow became a team together with a hot nun working for the police to fight Neo-Crime, a mysterious powerful organization that tries to find out Rico's time traveling superpower and use it for their own evil plans. Rock'n'Cop was great and imo on the same level as Galaxy Rangers. Both awesome but story wise completely different.

actually, he was smart, but i remember him also being unlucky, always trying to hang to girsl, and always being rejected or becoming the comic relief. This show had a very interesting background story, and put a lot of care in designing characters and ships, but imo ultimately failed on the stories

The irony of all the Woke B.S today. We had better minority characters yesterday than today. We have characters of every shade under the sun today. With little to no personalty at all. Other than their identity/ {For the record am not White} I hate what's being pushed today as "Diversity & Inclusiveness." When I hear that phrase. In the 90 i liked when in a story there could be a gay, an interracial relationship, or the main character could be not white, cause it was original and cool. Now stories MUST have a gay or a lesbian main character, MUST have feminism, MUST have respect fot different cultures... Fuck this is getting worse than the adaptation of gatchman into battle of the planets. For the record, it was a quite violent anime of the 70, that when came in america was cut and edited so that there was no blood or deads anymore (and it also lost around 20 episodes on the way)

80's and early 90's toons have a charm to them that has been lost in the rush to just churn out dreck as fast as possible, so while before something like Adventure Time's art would have been interesting and unique, now everything is doing something similar and it kills it. I may be biased as I was born in the mid 80's and grew up on 80's reruns and the best of the 90's toons and very early anime making it's way over from Japan like Gatchaman and Golion..Battle of the Planets and Voltron in the States. Now everything is churned out so quickly that art style and the work put into it has just gone out the window and don't even get me started on intros...if you're lucky enough to get one.

I am 43 years old today......and i got this video recommended today..... took me back to 1989 when this series was broadcasted in Germany.....that was a better time.
