Hi everyone.
As you may have heard Skiathos and other Greek islands suffered a catastrophic storm on Monday 4th September 2023.
Currently Jet2 have cancelled all flights to Skiathos until the 12th September 2023, and TUI have cancelled all flights until the 11th September 2023.
I hope everyone is well and that Skiathos can recover fully as soon as possible.

Thanks for this update. We are flying to Skiathos on Friday 15rh September. Sorry that this happened on your holiday. My wife and I have spent a lot of time In Asia over past 25 years and some of these scenes remind me of Post monsoon Bangladesh and India. We had a similar experience 30 years ago in Cebu I. The Philippines over Christmas when five days into the cyclone hit the resort and washed away the be@ch and lots of the rooms etc - Greece is responding better than most other countries. I hope that you are able enjoy the remainder of your visit. Stay safe.

I stay in Troulos every June and the floods were devastating to see. Thank you for this x

We love Troulos, got everything you need on your doorstep but the option to venture out on the bus is there too. 😊 x

Thanks for the info Frankie! My partner and I were supposed to fly to Skiathos on September 10th but with all this happening we will almost certainly cancel. Take care!

Glad I could help somewhat. The island is on the mend, we went to Skiathos town today and most of the shops and restaurants were back open as usual. There were a couple that were shut due to the damage. 😃

Hi Sorry to bother you. If you are still in Troulos I wonder if you could tell me what the Troulos Bay hotel is like at the moment after the storms ? We are due to arrive later it’s week. With its position on the beach it is very exposed We are OAPs and have to be careful.

@@michaelswift8640 I’m happy to inform you that Troulos Bay looks absolutely fine. 😊 all the bars on the beach are open. There is a massive puddle where you would usually get onto the beach, I’ll post a short showing this for you. But if you walk either through Troulos beach bar or the bar on the right side you can get to the beach that way 😊
