So far so good! I'm using the Horizon Pro at school and it's beautiful. Amazing 4k image, amazing sound and I don't even need a computer or USB disk: all files are stored in the internal memory!

I’ve had one for about one week. Unbiased, unsponsored, and I can say don’t hesitate…it’s well worth the price. I also connected it to my xbox one s (via hdmi arc) which is connected to a Sonia 5.1 system (via SPDIF). It’s just about flawless. Now just waiting on a 150” manual roll down Elite Screen. :)

I have the XGIMI 4K horizon player on a 135" screen. I have it pictured playing 1080P content on my channel. I heard 1080P didn't look that good good and I was worried because I already had it in the mail coming to me but 1080P looks just as good as any 4K content

No you can definitely tell difference between 4K HDR and 1080P. Nothing matches a 4K Blu ray.

@@edwardsanchez3708 It's relative. 480p would look good in a very small window and seated a bit further back. The point of higher resolution is that you can do larger screen sizes without the image getting pixilated for those in a closer position. So, I can't tell if you are blind or if you just sit waaaaaaay back from your screen but at 135" 1080p looks like ass compared to 4k.

the remote works even when i'm pointing to the screen while the projector is on the side like in the video :) also, yes you can plug your apple tv into the HDMI

Great review. Quick question, did you find it off-putting to have the sound coming from just one side of you? I think my setup will also be to the side of my couch, and I’m wondering whether to link it to a Sonos soundbar via an Apple TV? If I don’t need to then that’ll save a lot of money! Thanks.

I know you didn’t ask me…but…the sound from the projector is quite good…and it seems to bounce of all walls in a way that sounds pretty good no matter where it’s placed. Almost as if it uses a feature not unlike Sonos Trueplay. That said, I use my Sonos 5.1 most times and it does great! The only annoyance with that is that each time I reboot the projector and xbox, I have to go into projector settings and toggle it back from onboard sound to HDMI ARC.

You failed to mention that this projector does not have a bulb replacement and is a useless paperweight after the 1 year warranty expires. Official response from XGIMI when I asked about replacing my bulb. "Hey, this is Georgina from XGIMI tech support department, it will be a pleasure to assist you today regarding your concern. We do not sell nor suggest changing the bulb on a XGIMI projector. We can gladly check if your device is still within our 1-year warranty and provide a replacement if applicable."

I've had the Horizon Pro for several months now. Out of the box with factory firmware, there was a noticeable difference between 480, 1080, and 4k. Afrer the last updates, they all look really good of course the higher the resulution the better but they all look good.

You could utilize Bluetooth, but I recommend a 8k 30 ft HDMI cord because more bandwidth goes through the cord to support the 4k content.

Can anyone help me, I bought this projector yesterday as had the Mogo 2 Pro before it which was Bluetooth to my Amazon Echo Studio and was fantastic. But with the horizon pro, when I connect to my Echo Studio it just brings up the Xmusic app and that's it. It won't Bluetooth for anything else. There isn't even an option to uninstall the Xmusic app. I am about to send this back if I can't get it to Bluetooth to my Echo Studio.

Yes, you need to make sure that your wall is smooth and not a strange color, the Chromecast works well except for Netflix.

this projector leaves with light shadow/grey around the projection of it has to adjust the keystone... which is very annoying at night time, I wouldn't recommend this projector for that reason and netflix is still not compatible from OS

I can never understand how projectors are worth more. I still feel like you loose image quality due to the air between the wall and the lens. That being said, this does look very good. Way better than I am used to how projectors look. But I still don’t think they’re worth more than a very good tv. They come off looking cloudy.

Yea projectors are difficult to compare with TVs as people who want projectors are looking for a portable or simple setup xD The laser projectors are getting closer to TVs though :)

Actually TVs are notoriously more expensive than projectors. Now a 4k projector can be had for under $2k easily. Try to find a 4k 85"+ smart tv that's worth having for under $2k, not to mention you're still losing screen size while paying more lol.

Unfortunately it is too "Long throw"! You have a much bigger wall than the measly 120" picture you have to settle for. Why can't it make a bigger picture? Fill the wall!!! It is a deal breaker for me.
